Demons. Not super evil demons, but pragmatic and less chained by morals demons. You in a way play the role of Prometheus and grant the mortals the gift of fire with your infinite demonic knowledge. In time your followers ascend to demonhood as well to make it a more proper demon civ.

Wait, you put 'rape victim' as a trait?
Also the chart says v0.002, yet I can assure you there were many versions of the civ image before this one.

You are the leader of an expedition commissioned by the gnome queen to chart the unknown lands beyond the chasm far south of the gnomish homelands. Packed full of scholars, rich tourists and your trusty crew you set off sailing the winds.
At least officially.. you known damn well there's something weirder about this whole affair. In the cargo hold of your zeppelin, besides the usual supplies, there's a large metallic box you're not supposed to open, and several of the queen's men are aboard to ensure the protection of some high profile crew.
Not long after crossing the chasm, your zeppelin gets caught in a storm and you're forced to go above the clouds.
Unfortunatelly this draws unwanted attention.
You're woken up in the middle of the night by the confused screams of your crew as they scramble to fight some very large beast. You join them and manage to fire a ballista bolt right in the creature's left eye, prompting the beast to fly away howling in pain.
>>
>>44390946

When you start beginning to think the crisis is averted, the creature makes a turn mid air and blast the airship with a firebreath.
You help out as many people as you can grab their escape parachutes and get out the ship before she explodes. Your crew insists that you get out too but you can't abandon the ship.
Your second in command knocks you unconscious.
You wake up to the rotting smell of wetlands. You've been told the airship exploded in a fireball and the dragon took its time slaughtering the falling passengers.
The smoke trail from smoldering remains of the ruined airship can be seen in the distance.

The few remaining survivors seems in shock. They recognize your authority.
There seems to be 17 able bodied gnomes; 8 others are badly hurt, you're not sure if they'll survive the night.

What should you do now?
> Send a group to explore your surroundings looking for shelter
> Send a group to explore your surroundings looking for food
> Send a group to loot the airship for tools and supplies
> Assess skills of survivors
> Other (specify)

Also you guys can name the gnome kingdom, the gnome queen, the expedition group, the leader, the airship, and the dragon if you want.
>>
>>44390963
Firstly send a group to loot the airship, maybe we will find something useful and food, in meantime help wounded gnomes.

>Send a group to loot the airship for tools and supplies

- The dragon deserves to name itself (do it faget)
- We're Wilfred Silvercog
- Queen Emmalena Silvercog. A cousin or some such
- The Explorer ship

And we're known just as the Sanctioned Eastern/Western/Northern/Southern Expedition

Captain Wilfred Silvercog asks for voluntaries to go back to what remains of the airship looking for supplies. They're told to pick up only things deeemed essential and do the possible to come back before nightfall.

In the meantime one of the survivors step up and start treating the wounded. You learn she's called Thari, a gnome apothecary. She came with the sholar's group to study exotic flora, and has some medical training. She sets the bones of some of the wounded. There's not much more she can do without proper medical supplies though.

Most of the group sent for supplies comes back. They brought back enough dry food for a week, a couple clean water barrels, six crossbows, a large box of metal bolts, a large piece of half burnt cloth, a large box of mechanical tools and a small box of medicine supplies. They say two of them stayed behind looking for something despite the insistence of the other to hurry and come back. They report seeing remains of dead gnomes scattered all over the place.

Thari promptly puts the medicine found to use. She says 5 of the wounded have broken bones and will take several weeks to recover; one of them got blinded in the right eye by a shrapnel. She cleans and sutures large gaping wounds on two other patients, if they don't get an infection they should be alright in a week. The last patient has a broken lower spine and is unlikely to ever walk again, but other than that sustained only minor bruises and should wake up soon.

Night falls and your group has no shelter. Sleeping in the muddy swamp doesnt seems like a good idea.

What now?
> Build a cloth tent
> Pick branches, light a campfire
> Have a group chop trees to build a log cabin
> Stand watch while others sleep
> Have a group stand watch while you sleep
> Send a group to explore surroundings looking for shelter
> Other (specify)

Build a cloths tent/tents and gather wood for campfire. We can divide our people for these actions.

The Captain decides sleeping on the mud won't do. Dividing the people in two groups, one is sent to pick up fuel for a campfire and another is instructed to build a cloth tent.

The group passes through an area that seems to be higher ground tham the rest of the swamp. One of the gnomes in the group picking up fuel for the campfire is attacked by a large crocodile; his tiny body is swallowed before anyone can react. Two other gnomes shoot at it with a crossbow but the croc but only manages to hit its tail before it fades back into the murky waters mostly unscathed. We end up with a much smaller campfire than previously antecipated.

The large tent is built out of a large piece of half burnt cloth and some wood. It could confortably house about nine gnomes. It's not waterproof, the cloth is bound to become perpetually wet from humidity. Not a very healthy sleeping place, but still better than sleeping on mud.

Most gnomes manage to catch some sleep. A few are too terrified or shocked to sleep and decide to stand watch.

By the morning the two missing gnomes come back. They are dragging the weird large metal box you were not supposed to open. Upon being asked by other gnomes about the box they answer dismissivelly. They try to act non chalantly about it but its all very suspicious.
Should the Captain inquire the returning gnomes about the metal box? >Y/N

Not having any fresh water nearby is worrysome. Perhaps we should build a device to dessalinate water?
The gnomes don't feel safe in a swamp infest of crocodiles. Some of them want to hunt down the beasts.
Turns out some survivors are trained geologists. Maybe we could prospect the area.

One of the wounded gnomes gets feverish. It's probably an infection.

What now?
>Have a group chop trees to build a log cabin
>Relocate to higher ground
>Build water dessalinator
>Send a hunting party to kill crocodiles
>Prospect area for minerals
>Other(specify)
>>
>build huts/cabin

Then food/water.

The Captain orders the construction of a water desalinator. It should take a couple days to engineer and fashion its parts but if things go according to plan it will be able to provide more than enough clean water for all the gnomes drinking needs. Should it be built to maximize output or to be portable?

The Captain have the remaining people chop down some trees to build a couple log cabins. A very small one, barely fitting a few sleeping people inside, is built first as proof of concept taking most of the day and seems stable enough; a much larger one is proposed, some are concerned the terrain might not support it. Should we build a large log cabin or several smaller ones?

The Captain decides to interrogate the returning dwarves about the weird metal box. At first they say it's classified information and they're not at liberty to disclose it but once the captain suggested them and their classified information could go take a stroll by themselves in the croc infested swamp they started talking. The older of the two is a scholar named Donel; he and his servants came with the queen's scholars under direct orders to take this box as far away from the homeland as possible before opening it to research. It contains an ancient artifact with not fully understood properties but if their research so far was correct it could open a portal for long distance travel, or even to other planes. Queen Emmalena deemed this artifact too dangerous to be used within the gnome kingdom and wanted it destroyed, but was overuled concerning its destruction by the Craftsgnome's High Council. Since she didn't want this thing in her lands, she decided to organize an expedition to uncharted lands, and anyone who wanted to study this thing ought to go on with it and do so outside the gnomish kingdom. The other four top scholars assigned to this secret project are dead, so its his duty to carry on the research.

What now?
>specify

>>44392819
It's of no immediate concern then, though you frown at being kept out of the loop. Continue with more pragmatic concerns.

Should we consider relocating to better ground, or stay and build small cabins?
