From Dropbox Anon:
Hello friends, I am the guy who owns the Dropbox linked up top. I added a notepad to the dropbox. If you are a CYOA author and wish to see your CYOA in the dropbox, the most expedient way would be emailing my new Yahoo! account "[email protected]' with the CYOA. Adding a name either in the subject or body attached to the email would be helpful.

From Me Personally:
This is my OC, what do you think?

>Making another CYOA general six hours after another new one has been made already
Really?

On another topic, your stuff looks really good, but why do elves have lower charisma?
>>
>>44387850
The last ones archived so I thought that meant you could make another.

Also they have lower charisma because I had to balance out their stats that way.
>>
>>44387894
There is already a new one tho

Just reduce one of their other stats, it doesn't make any sense.
>>
>>44388174
I used 4plebs archive and searched up Cyoa, the latest was archived.

And it's lower because elves are disliked for their arrogance. If you don't like it, sorry but tough luck.
>>
>>44387747
Nice! Glad you finished it. What name should we call you when asking about it?

Also the black boxes are kind of jarring in the middle of your greyish background.

>>44388288
>>44387894
You can. The reason you probably missed the other one was the OP of that one, while adding in the mega pasta forgot to title the thread CYOA so you'd only find that in the body of the thread doing a search.
>>
>>44387747
>Great War of Ordion.png

Starting discipline points feel a little low. Perhaps a boost to 6 seeing as there are many skills to take.

For companions. The ones of various factions should probably have a tinted background that is the same as their faction symbol's color or a border like that or the symbol added. Something to quickly differentiate who belongs to what faction at a glance, leaving the neutrals grey.

So far it's pretty cool
>>
>>44388373
Are you seriously still crying about names?
>>
>>44388475
I like to be organize unlike you.
>>
>>44387747
more feedback

Drawbacks feel weak in what they give for the amount of trouble you get, except the all bosses at once one. That one feels pretty balanced.

Also if you don't need to belong to a faction that needs to be stated at the very start.
>>
>>44388509
I don't have autism unlike you.
>>
>>44388530
As if being organized is autistic. How do you even get by in life or at any sort of job...or are you just a basement dweller living off of parents?
>>
>>44387747
I based literally all my decisions on who I want to fuck.

All three of the companions I wanted to fuck were neutrals, then I chose the sex with a noble penalty.
>>
>>44388614
>I based literally all my decisions on who I want to fuck.
Welcome to /cyoa/, you'll fit right in.
>>
>>44384584

Are you literally blind?
>>
>>44390132
Calm down, I just use 4plebs to find the next thread and the title wasn't there as one of the anon explained so I didn't see it.
>>
>>44390132
That's what happens when the person making the thread screws up.
>>
>>44388373
Call me Ordion anon.
And >>44388373
>>44388288
are one person.

Yeah the black boxes were originally supposed to be how all the text was displayed but it got really, really tedious spacing them all out so i scrapped it after the first page.

>>44388449
Yeah that companion idea is good, I will definitely use it. I might raise the disciplines to 5.

>>44388521
Really? I felt that they were pretty decent. I need a bit more feedback before I make changes though.

Yeah the idea for going neutral only came up after I made the first page.

>>44388614
OK.
>>
>>44390344
Er I mean >>44388288
and Ordion anon are the same person.
>>
>>44390344
Hmm I can go into a bit more detail, Ordion anon....

BOONS:
Sword seems pretty buff and worth taking.

Lifesaver seems pretty limited in the person figuring out what'll kill you so they can save you. Wouldn't take it due to that. Too iffy.

Mounts seem good too and worth considering.

Horn is too limited in uses for me personally to even consider. If it were something like a really long recharge instead of 3 shots and it's done then I'd consider it.

Staff. I'm on the fence for this one as it keeps getting weaker but does have a good power. Probably wouldn't take it over the sword or the mounts which are always reliable.

Companion seems fine too.

DRAWBACKS:

Wanted: losing access to all companions but neutral for +1 boon feels really weak as there are only a couple boons I really think are worth it.

Cursed: Have 1 stat fail for +4 to other stats seems ok. Not something I'd choose though.

Traitor: Stabbed in the back by a random companion or your boonbuddy for +1 discipline to me is also way not worth it. That 1 discipline probably wouldn't save you from that betrayal. That is from a more Roleplay standard as there aren't hard numbers for what the betrayal actually does to you.

Alone: On the fence about this one too. Doesn't seem like those stats though are going to outweigh how useful 3 companions and boonbuddy would be. They'd have way more skills/stats among them then you're getting here, not that you should get 3 companions worth of stats. Not sure what i'd do to boost this a little bit.

Noble seems fine.

Big Bad Foes seems fine too.

Just my 2c worth.
>>
>>44390567
Hm, you have a point on the Lifesaver and Horn.

Wanted....I suppose I could add some gold in too. Maybe another boon or discipline.

Traitor yeah I get where you're coming from, I'll definitely offer at least another discipline.

Alone I suppose I could increase the stats, add another discipline. I'll think of it another time.
>>
>>44390763

I'm all for the dungeon hunting since a war between 3 guys dont interest me and also dat key.

>>
>>44396691
The thing about CYOA is that there's no such thing as take back. If you spite a build in a new version, someone can always tell you to stuff it and use an older one. Or just straight up ignore your rules.
>>
>>44396704
You can't pick the Elf if you're a Kitsune.

I really need to make that more clear.

Bony Tony, Silas Sternum, and a nameless rank-and-file soldier. Every single time.

The nameless rank-and-file soldier can theoretically be replaced by anyone, but having some random human guy caught between time wizardry and bony hijinks is pretty great in its own right.

>>
>>44396957
As long as you keep it more or less balanced, I say fucking do it. Though, at a certain point it will beg the question of why kitsune would even team up with races like that in the first place. So you should at least try to give some hints to explain that.

Although try not to change Merfolk too much, they are among the smartest members of that faction anyway.
>>
>>44397073
Sorry, I didn't understand you. Can you please elaborate?
>>
>>44396957
I think it's pretty funny that you suggested something as a joke to spite complainers and some idjits are taking it seriously. Probably because it gets their dicks hard.

Definitely wouldn't do it though, for the sake of the people who, you know, are getting caught up in some argument they had no part of and having their character/build attacked for it. Also because it kinda damaged the setting and 'seriousness' of it if it turns into a joke.

Laura is the type of person who's more than a little rough around the edges, yet her personality is still very laid-back and she has a habit of not taking matters as seriously as she should. She also seems to enjoy herself the most when embroiled in the middle of combat, so it's not surprising that combat happens to be her sole vocation. However, she is a pretty good person to her friends and comrades.

I wasn't sure if a detachable bayonet on a firearm would count as variable or not, so I just assumed it would. Even though it feels like it probably shouldn't to me. I also originally wanted to choose Haven Academy, because it better suits her personality and the type of person she is, but Beacon seems to be where all the fun shit goes down. I don't, I guess I can say she transferred to Beacon from Haven.

bro you can add +7 stat points anywhere you like.

The companions also all get the 7, but some of them have complications so they get more than 7.

Luck is kind of hard to explain, in a D&D game it's how much the DM would favour you. The new abilities on the spot is a stupid idea, I should have removed it a long time ago.

Luck also determines anything chance based, i.e. if I throw a rock at random it will increase the chance of it hitting someone.

I rolled that nazis are using their old underwater compound where they are developing AI Hitler to lead them once more.

My major skills are Focus and Unkillable.
My minor training is Low-Grav Training, Human Calculator, Gills, and Bogon Emitter.
My equipment is a pair of power gloves, three bricks of C4, a combat knife, Auto powertool, a rechargeable battery and a suitcase.

My idea is to be dropped off pretty far away and swim to the base. As long as they don't look out the window, they aren't going to care about something non-motorized approaching. I'll show up like a dolphin. I'll use my ability to focus and calculator-like brain to figure out where to plant the C4 and try to destabilize/flood as much as I can. I'll use my power tool to break into sealed rooms so I can actually enter the base.

I assume no one was expecting a man with gills to attack the base so I'll use the panic to my advantage and interrogate then kill the first people I find. There isn't going to be quick reinforcements for a underwater base so I can just make my way through until I find the AI, physically destroy its hardware. and then swim away from the mostly flooded wreckage.

Going career!

This time I rolled soviet bunker, ironically, is being used as the HQ for a marxist revolution. They're taking advantage of the bunker being under ground for their Earthquake machine, which is crush the capitalist state.

I'll take the social major skill and the punch out and the upbringing minor skills. I'll keep my briefcase and gloves. Also I'll by a sit and tie, contact lens, super shoes and a bunch of hacking spikes.

I'll charm my way in under the disguise of a higher up and let them search me, which should prove I'm clean. Once I get it I'll walk into a bunch of rooms and plug in the spikes one by one. If someone asks me about it I'll reassure them that it's a software update... or punch them out. By the time they realize what's going on hopefully I'd have done enough damage to set them back a few months because there's no way I'm getting out of there alive. RIP me.

I genuinely can't think of what I could have done to win this scenario. oh well

I don't like having to be an outlaw, but it certainly beats being stuck with Stoneshill. The Horde and their war should distract them though, and hopefully they'll all end up wiped out . Not like I have any personal stake if Ravenhall won't take me. Maybe a cute human running from the horde will overlook the silly 'outlaw' thing.

Personal opinion, I feel like the Order should have a quest that empowers them. Alliance has that ancestral race thing, Dominion has a god-king, Order doesn't really have an equivalent. Wouldn't have made me pick them, but yeah.

I'm a Sergio, the golem and master blacksmith.
STR 9 AGI 6 CON 6 LUK 3 INT 6 WIS 7 CHA 5

Disciplined in: Melee (2 pts), Physical Defense (1pt) and Telekinetic Magic (1 pt)

Skills: Monk, Attrition, Charge, and Earth Elementalist,

Weapons: Cestus (possibly black smithed into one of my hands)
Armor: Wandering cloak, Padded Gameson
Items: Floating bed roll, Magic lantern.
Gold: 15

Companions: Aqualia Pascal (need her magic, want her pussy) Jug Stonetoe (we need range/someone stronger than me) Palefang (need someone with range who isn't an idiot AND someone I bone if Pascal isn't into it)

Boon: The magical herd.

Quests: Ironfort- I feel like we can overwhelm them and brute force the defenses. The trouble will be the encroaching army who, realistically, will just kill us.
Thaddeus-Palefang hates skeletons and is a huntress so I bet she can take out a lieutenant before they even know there's an attack. Jug Stonetoe and I can handle the grunts and maybe a lieutenant. I hope Aqualia is a skilled enough mage to help with Thaddeus but there's a decent change we'll lose here.

As it stands, they're actually one of the worst things to spend points on.
For that 1 point to get 10 minions to give you 'backrubs', you could use Transformation to make your entire populace more conventionally attractive or hornier.
For the 5 points you'd need to get 20 superhuman minions, you could change the environment to something retardedly hostile, make your populace immune to it, *and* have a point left over.

Is posting older CYOAs that have not been created by you discouraged?

Bio:
In Vale there exist a city next to a rather large forest, unfortunately in recent years the Grimm have started to become more and more prominent in that same forest, thus more hunters and huntresses started to gather here in order to contain them, its because of this that Coss's parents got together, but that's a story for another time. Due to the fact that both of Cross's parents are hunters, he grew up constantly hearing about the adventures his parents have had over the years, and thus when he was old enough he managed to convince both of them to let him become a hunter, choosing to wield a Bowblade in honor of his father using a bow and his mother a sword, training in the same Grimm infested forest where he lives he managed to learn to intimidate others from all the fighting he's done over the years and has trouble not doing it at times, even if its easy for him to make friends, its sometimes difficult not loosing them due to this. And at the age of 17 he was finally admitted at Beacon Academy.

Wave of Detection counters your magical invisibility, and has no requirements. Once your invisibility is negated, you don't really have much else to lean on... Ordained Shot and Third Eye would let someone shoot you dead easily enough, while Solar Vigour and Helios' Hammer would let them smite you with holy fire in a super-impressive way.

Given that your "I win" button is turning off the sun in a large radius, you're super-noticeable, and making enemies by default. Walking around being the reason why Abyssal Magic is hated is not by any means the best plan.

Elder tome. Astral as other.
Astral minion, Third eye, true memory, catharsis, spell echo, unknown spell (gemini), grand illusion, ghostly cocoon

Magical locus, decipher, enhance senses, item enchantment, heal.

I become the twin seers, who live in a house shrouded by illusion to look like it's filled with books - all of which are filled with the knowledge they have accumulated, but cannot be stolen due to the fact that they don't actually exist. When they work together to predict something for someone, they use illusion magic to show the sights to them. In perilous situations, they simply enclose themselves in impenetrable cocoons and heal themselves, waiting for immediate danger to pass and ethereally spending time elsewhere. They prefer to avoid any conflicts, though.

In their spare time, they enchant items to sell, and. Heal the sick that visit them.

With gemini and the whole thing where living in one place increases power over time, they should become pretty accomplished and powerful eventually. Probably some of the best seers.

Is stat change limited to 4 poinsts for +2 bonus or is that just the highest example given? since I am tempted to just dump all 20 points into general pop improvement.
also, what is CAST (PSO)?

Also, is the soulforge only for protracted war where you are capturing enemies over time and converting them into soldiers? Or is it necessary to transform the pop of a conquered hex as you conquer it?

Anyways, I think I will go with
>High tech
very good at repelling invaders. Also, I want tech in the long term. Also free

For what to spend points on beyond that the really tempting choice is raising int from 2 to 10 of humanity. (for 16 points) and use the remaining 2 points to boost strength for a little more help in conquering techless territory.

For the less boring option where I actually pick stuff:
>Strange new life: Basically tameable dragons
easily conquer lower tech territories with tame dragons
>Sufficiently advanced tech: Psionics
Mind control FTW. memory rip prisoners, etc.
>Construct: Cloning facility
To replace losses
>Soulforge + Mental Transformation + Preset (warforged)
This can turn enemy prisoners, criminals, conscripts, or volunteers into badass magitech robots that can function in all hexes and also are mentally transformed into loyal citizens. Note that normal baseline citizens remain human.
>Transformation: Ability to reproduce very rapidly, and very fast maturation of children, with controls to prevent overpopulation.
20k is very low pop. And high pop wins the day.

>10 remaining points for a +5 to int of all pop.
Humans go from average of 2 int to average of 7 int. Combined with

If sufficiently censored (or text-only, or PDF where the first page isn't NSFW, not sure if that last one still holds), you should be fine just posting it here.

If you're hell-bent on having lewd imagery all over the place, I'd suggest doing what Slut Life did for its image version (basically, post a version that complies with the first paragraph, but have it hold a link to a download of the lewder version).

I really like the characters you did, there are some cliches in there of course, but you put different spins on them making them diverse and intersting. I feel there a lot of references, but the only one i recognised is the Princess Protection Program.

I guess Paris for gf, or maybe Otome(though she said to already being somone's gf). And the one who is not gf for best friend or maybe Ea(that is also a long-term pragmatic choice as if she ever returns to her royalty status that can earn you some benefits).

There is a typo in Sui glaces instead of glances.

>The USS Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, at 333 meters in length, can carry up to 85-90 jets at once.
>333/85 is roughly equal to 4, and so we can argue that with each 4 meters in length, under the assumption that all those jets were Super Hornets, at 18 meters in length, each meter of ship will equal to 4.5 meters of aircraft.
>Now, with Star Dust
>The ID-9F, at 1,600 meters in length, has only 46 slots for hanger space, with each slot enough to hold a single drone 6 meters in lengths
>1600/46=35, and so, for ships in stardust, for every 7.5 meter of ship, you only have space for one meter of hanger space.
>Currently, with modern day technology, our sea-faring carriers are about 44 times more effective at managing space than space carriers in Star Dust
>To bring the ID-94 on par with the Nimitz in terms of capacity to length, you would need a hair under 2,000 extra hanger spaces

SDA said that she has become tired of stardust, and doesn't really want to rebalance shit anymore.

Really, all you need to do is to just make it so that on carriers and dreadnoughts, fighters only take up a single hangar space. Fluff it as space-capable fighters needing more room for maintenance and shit, I dunno.
Also maybe make it so that buying fighters for carriers and dreadnoughts are like 80% off everything, but restrict them to capacitators only, so that they can only use kinetic weapons and the lower tier energy weapons.

Collegiate Mentor

Gaian Magic - Gaian Attunement, Animal Bond: So 2 extra lives and some animals that I can bro it up with and use with Channel Entity, allowing (with proper choice) pretty much any generic superpower of strength, speed or whatever while staying in a human form.
Planetary Magic - To Rust, Ghost Form, Channel Entity, Tear Magic, Shapeshift: Really wanted shapeshifting the most so I locked that down with choices of the others. It makes things like shifting eyes and facedance redundant. But it also makes things like natural armour, leaf on wind, meteoric speed, celestial wings, etc redundant too. To Rust and Tear Magic are effective combat spells that I can use to defend myself in this wacky world where magic exists. The rest are just cool af.
Meteoric Magic - Force Barrier: Protection, has uses.

Egg, Decipher, Heal: One thing that seems fun and two that seem useful. Already have all the violent and exciting shit I'd neat with major powers.

I think I see where you're coming from. That's fine. But Stardust is meant to have a narrative, and the whole point of the CYOA is to be part of the setting anyways. It's not like this is a negative concept, it's just something you don't like.

Besides, I don't think there's anything that can really hold a candle up to it. There's nothing quite like stardust and that's why I fucking love it.

The Alien... Fuck that, it's booooring. The Galactic Empire it is!

Living on a very remote island in the Kitsune land of Nippon, Tanaka and I lived a relatively peaceful existence. However, as the war dragged on, even places so remote as ours could not be forgotten about. A ship came, and the draft with it. However, a prominent priestess that came with the ship offered us a way out: a ticket to the port of Torobard and some coin for supplies, in exchange for.... I don't want to talk about it.

As our newly found group sails away from that burning plague of rotten dog flesh, I only now realize that witch had no intention of letting us live. She must have known that port was a deathtrap for us. If it were not for the assistance of a couple of adventures from Ravenhall, I don't think my friend and I would have made it out of there. I've heard that the other races from the Dominion were savage, but to see such betrayal from my own... The adventures are offering us a position in their ranks, and after that, I think I will accept.

It was the first of its scale and I don't think anything else is quite as large as it as of yet. It has clever number crunching that's actually pretty well balanced for the amount of fucking stats and spending you have to go through, there's literally no CYOA with a point system as complex as it.

And yet it still inspires a lot of freedom, you can be everything from a small tight-knit crew in a frigate to a large military detachment to a fuckhuge science dreadnought.

All while keeping a solid setting and lore with fluff around every corner. And it comes with lewd DLC and DLC that lets you be everything from a foot soldier to a super soldier while going into detail about stats.

Gee, you fucking tell me about a CYOA like this. I hate sucking dick but you have to be autistic to at least not appreciate that stardust is one of this thread's best creations.

Con-fucking-gratulations, SDA. You made something good.

>>44407512

><That... yes, it would be possible.. but it would also be insanely difficult!>
>My sympathy is a bit limited since I'm being asked to take part in an incredibly challenging test for the future of my species. You can do it, right?
><Yes... in theory. Most of the ailments humans suffer from could be helped by something a specialized metabolism could produce.
>Excellent. Now what we'll probably want is a larval stage that eats basically everything it's possible for an organism to eat, that then creates a simpler to digest byproduct for the specialized adults. Hm... if these larvae ate preferentially upwards, it would be possible to 3D print with them even on primitive hexes...
><I'm in hell>
>Come to think of it, why stop at medicine? You could have one scent activate spider silk at a thickness of use in industrial applications, another two parts of a glue that when mixed is comparable to the glue that holds clams on a rock in heavy waves for years... Let me crunch some numbers... Any chance I can get the intelligence increase now?
><NO! You get them all at once or not at all!>
>There's no need to shout. Ok, let's see...
One day later
>All right, I'm just tweaking inconsequentials by now. This species as I've described it should cure every disease, eat every pollution we produce, and replace the entire existing manufacturing basis. Pity about mining, but I shouldn't get greedy
><If I had discovered your race, Greedy is what I'd have named you all>
>Smile! We're done! Only eleven points left to go!

><Absolutely. Do you want dragons?>
>Mysical, sunlight and ore eating dragons?
><No, something that size has to eat for something that size. We don't counteract the natural laws you know>
>I knew it. No, I don't want dragons. Pity about the whole sunlight eating thing though. Say, is bionuclear power an option?
>NO!
>>
>>44408697
>Sigh. No bionuclear. I'm not even surprised any more.
><I shall be sure to register your complaints with the comittee when I give testimony about this interaction>
>Yes, I'll tell them all about your level of professionalism as well. Ok, no bionuclear, no dragons... Buildings then.
><Ah yes. Not much need for a desalinization plant where you are, so I guess you'll want an arcology, right?>
>I was thinking more space elevatory actually.
><(Glares)>
>Really? No Space elevators? What about a space rail gun?
><Nn- well... not the way you're picturing it...>
>Ok, erm... How about one of those giant towers Tesla described that use the temperature differential between the lower and the upper region to constantly draw air through them and generate electricity?
><That would be... feasible...>
>Ok, great! So I'll want one of those, obviously with the maximum power output you can get over, let's say, a footprint of twenty square kilometres with the highest possible height to not need constant upkeep. It'll need elevators up the side and a space for dirigibles to dock, obviously...
><Oh here we fucking go>
>And we might as well harness static electricity differences and windstorms at that altitude while we're at it, let's see... boy, this would sure go faster if I had that intelligence boost now!
><My sympathy, as you so eloquently put it, is extraordinarily limited>
Another day later...
>Oof. I'm less thrilled by this than the recyclers, but it should pretty much ensure panhex unity. Six points left. I'm thinking transformation. Ok...
>How much for photosynthetic ability?
><Three points if there's no tradeoff and people still need to eat, just less>
>Let's do that. And for one point, I'll give an attitude transformation - everyone wants to solve the puzzle of what the test is and pass it.
><Finally, an intelligent decision>
>And for two points... I'll mandate love and compassion for all sentient beings coupled with a desire for wisdom
><(weeps quietly)>

hi sda

but seriously, there's nothing special about its points system, scale, or the personal freedom it gives you. the lore is not very original or persuasive at all. it just looks good and has a lot of content.

Not either of them, but if you want to say something isn't special, you need to provide examples on the same level to prove it. Otherwise it's just an empty insult.

>hi sda
Yeah okay.

>nothing special
Give me some examples of CYOAs that does everything better than Stardust.
