Alrighty sooo

Innkeeper
Wealth
Animal Companion
Potions
Blessing of the Fair Folk
The Fixer I need

-I'll hire someone to run most of the front-counter business while I hang out in the back with my cat, cooking food and making alcohol. The inn is mostly there for me to sell whatever I brew up, and cooking has grown on me. Make some mean chilli.

Until I get a message from William, a minstrel who already owes me his life a few times over. Hell, what are friends for?

I shut down the in, pack up my potions(and a few bottles of the good stuff), take my cat and go. My unseen friends should see me through what ever nonsense old Willy has got himself into this time. Hopefully they'll keep anyone from breaking into my place while I'm gone.

Blue card. 14 dubloons left. Taking the purple route (entering through the silly tree in norway). Rolling to see how much the art piece will cost. (13-0 dubloons left).
I buy the fruit of knowledge (11-0 dubloons left, or no buy).
Taking the ladders down!
Buying the dragons blood (10-0 dubloons left, or no buy).
I'll buy a slave (Elf girl who speaks chinese, if I have 2 coins left, otherwise I will get a more magical slave. Ideally a very humanoid one. (8/7-0 dubloons left, or no buy)
And I will take the road back to the great HK.

>>44326231
Excellent idea. Many ways to go about it.
Since you came up with the idea, any particular CYOA setting / CYOA character you want included?
My currrent idea is you're in some sort of hubworld hired to take out a character made from the CYOA(s) in question. Different targets take you to different worlds (determined by the chracter of course) and give different bounties.
It'll be a little weird since you need space weapons for space CYOA's, magic weapons for magic CYOA's, but let's try it out.
Basically, "PvP and min/max'ing is the greatest thing ever - The CYOA"

I don't know is SLanon is around anymore or is even planning on looking back at this or not but could I make a suggestion? Angel is really a fallen angel. Maybe change Angel to Fallen Angel and then make Angel something like this:

Angel: An Angel sent on a mission by God to make you into the perfect woman. Is a big fan of the Old Testament and takes its work very seriously. Any deviation from its teachings will make any time spent with the Sadistic Dominatrix seem like a day at the spa.

But then again this is me just trying to put my personal fetishes into the fetish CYOA of doom.

RWBY was a fresh content and it got a lot of discussion and builds (about 2 to 3 threads).
Armored Core got some builds (I made one, check my Neptune) but didn't receive a lot of discussion because most of it had already been discussed when the author submitted the 1.0 version a month or so ago.

YOUR DAILY STARDUST CHALLENGE.

Create a single starship dedicated to transporting civilians between planets, a people carrier. The number of people a starship can carry will be determined by the difference between the vessel's max crew and the number of crew-members on board the vessel. The vessel with the most free crew spaces will be the winner. There will be three winners, one for each of the following modes.

Easy Mode:
>You may use every option available to you for this challenge.
Normal Mode:
>You may not take any titles or contracts. At least half of your point-defence mounts must be occupied by weapons.
Hard Mode:
>In additional to the rules of normal mode, at least half of your broadside turret mounts must be occupied by weapons and you must have the Crew Quarters upgrade, a fancy mess hall, a tavern, a recreational room and an observatory.

Have fun.

Gotta go with the first wish. The third is pretty tempting, but 1 has unlimited possibilities for who I'm with. Also it says nothing about the two creations only having sex. As long as I'm in the house alone, they can cook and clean and do anything else I want so long as they remain unobserved. Chores or playing old vidya games are no bueno because it's not sexual? It's foreplay. They may always be horny, but I'm not. And yes, I'm gonna monetize the fuck out of this. That's right girls, you write those books and paint those pictures. Code those games like a pro, then let me take all the credit!

Basically me and my bro scout out locations to build super cool houses for people, using magic and science to make them eco-friendly and wicked awesome. This has brought us into conflict with Hai Lin a bunch of times because she has a lot of preemo real-estate, but she's a sport and after a short contest will leave anyone who moves in alone. The Black Knight is everyone's enemy. Ed Bonehead is just an acient asshole who has spent 300 years being a dick. Like, he keeps track of family trees to make sure he has taught every member of the family that he's better than them.

Saint Nadia, who is popular for healing the sick, aiding withered crops, and brokering peace among warring tribes. She'll probably remain out of reach as she is intensely against violence and the general easy-going attitude I have. A man can dream though. My more realistic options for love are the sassy pirate queen Galley, playful and kind Erin, and gentle yet strict Olga.

Uncle Still Pond is an old Hero of the old caste, a great man who does great things, but isn't always a good person.

I'm aligned with Red Dagger. Why? Because that style of life seems fun, that's why. Fuck the Feds, I'm gonna be a fucking pioneer and have my own territory.

Skills? I'm the hottest pilot in the Red Daggers. When they say I'm one with my ship, they ain't metaphorical. Mind Link and prerequisites. I'm also trained in advanced combat, like most folks are out here, but I'm not just some flyboy with a gun. That ain't my aim. To matter out here, you have to know how to manage, how to talk. I know hot to run an industry, how to do business, and how to talk to folks and make a good deal. Oh, and I'm good with my ships weapons as well. Wouldn't be much use linking into my ship so well if I couldn't to that too. And I'm especially good with energy weapons.
18m

Now, I've made a bit of a name for myself. They call me a demigod and a hellraiser, because I'm that much of a fucking badass. Demigod because, you know, I got my ability to link into a ship somehow, right? And I have some contacts from those days. Fuck the Feds. And Hellraiser 'cause I raised a lof of hell when I picked up my ship. Got a bounty for picking it up in the first place, since it was an old museum piece and not for sale in the strictest sense of the term, and there are some people that are a bit disgruntled about how we split the proceeds after the heist. Plus there's some freelance federation asshole who also has a nice ship, and he thinks he's hot shit too.

Now, what ship have I got? I'll tell you, it's a motherfucking Herald Mothership. That's right. You can understand how I pissed a few folks off. 520m

(cont)
>>
>>44330240
The ship, of course, has twin mana cores and a mana shield. 100m
You might think that a ship like this, I'd have a herald command mod, right? Well no, that was actually all fucked up when I got the ride and hasn't been fixed so far. I'll tell you what I do have though: A fucking incredible paint job. Because sure, an 8.5km ship bristling with weapons might look cool, but there's more than one of those in this galaxy. But there's only one that looks like mine.

I also hit up a little weapons convoy, by the by, and filled out the ports. She was a recently salvaged ship bought by a museum company, they were going to waste her, I had to set the poor thing free. Free to be my body, really, I'm linked directly into her these days.
On each side, I have ten tachyon lasers. 154m I want to get some teslas and torpedo silos in there but I haven't got any yet.
Down the middle I have an Anti-Matter cannon, and room for three more. I don't need three more, but if I find them I'm gonna get them. 80m
Oh, and we've got ten little light lasers to take out flak and fighters. 11m

That's the majority of my wealth right there, is my ship, but what a fucking treasure. The inside isn't in quite the same condition though, it's mostly empty.
>>
>>44330262
Now, I've got a nice crew. About 4,000 former slaves liberated from a Fire Legion system. They're loyal enough, good people willing to work, and with time they should pick up some skills. I also have some folks that are already skilled. People I didn't alienate at one point or another. Well, Echo and Hailey are with me because I did right by them. Caused me no end of trouble, too. But they're both good people, good at what they do.
Lauren and 761 just sort of showed up. 2m Lauren putzes about in the lab, I don't really know what she does there. 3m and 761 runs digital security and hypercoms. Which is pretty damn important, really. 6m
That stuff was all part of the old chasis. The museum people added some stuff too. There's a fancy mess hall and tavern, which I hired someone to run. 9m Patricia Cooper. 2m I like cooking myself, actually, but I don't like cooking for the whole damn ship. Besides the usual nutrient slurry, she's got a meat fridge and an aquaculture/hydroponic setup to draw from. They really set this place up fancy, there's also a great rec room, observatory, and lounge. 3m 7m That's our whole specialist core, we have to make do without some folks for the time being, but with a ship like this, I'm sure we'll pick some good folks up before too long. Would be nice to have a doctor, for sure, and get a nice infirmary setup, because right now all we've got is a basic that we threw together. 1n And if we could take control of some mining operations, that'd be persistent income. That plays into bigger future plans, though.
>>
>>44330280
And I do have some big future plans. I want this ship to become the flag ship for the entire Red Dagger Confederation. I intend to lead us into Luos space, and become be biggest player in the galactic south. Bring the Talons into the fold, and the bandits of Sturg, through peaceful diplomacy. Remove the Fire Legion and the Blackhawk Elite through whatever means necessary, if I kill every last one of them that would be acceptable. And get Hammerhead into our group through some combination of those tactics, and then Prion and make contact with the rebels on the Galactic West, and incite more westerners to rebellion. And then take on the Federation itself. But the first steps are to finish equipping my ship, to gain standing within the Red Daggers, to get a mining and industrial base going, mostly in Luos, and to deal with personal enemies. There's a good contract that'll help me meet three of those aims, fighting a little war over a mining outpost. So for 44 million credits and a share in the business, I'm taking out corporates and bandits. There'll be enough troops there that I'll make a splash, and the funding will help. But it'll take a ton of money to finish loading out the weaponry on this place anyway. Hopefully I can salvage something. I do have a salvage harvester that I ripped out of an old ship way back when, and a universal tractor to work with. 6n And speaking of salvage, there's apparently a big fight going on in the outer rim between blackhawk and talon, I bet I can pick up some goods from there. And I heard something about rogue drones that I might be able to pacify and pick up. And a contact has just told me about an attack on a federation spec op base, which I could claim a bounty for, and maybe come back and trash later, after the deal is over.
>>
Tell me what you like about CYOAs.
>>
>>44330309
All in all, I know of 137 million credits worth of contracts I could fulfill right now. With some clever equipping with proceeds from the first ones, I could squeeze these contracts for 276 million with only stuff I'd like to have anyway. With that money, I can build up a good suite of leisure and tech capacity in my mothership and throw together a S47-LTM with mining and industrial capacity, which will be useful for continued resource gain. Still not enough to finish arming this ship, but hopefully the industrial assets I stand to gain will do something there, and establishing a government over productive worlds on the edge of Luos space will allow me to impose a tax as well, and thereby to finish arming and then to get fighters and drones and a proper defensive fleet to establish an empire.

Can't you go with a bigger ship than that and skimp on some of the more expensive stuff? The energy and shield subsystems are all bigger than necessary, the hull mods are a waste of resources, you could go with something cheaper than the auto cannons, so on and so forth.

What, am I somehow ruining your personal thread?
>>
>>44331124
Well, if I went by the letter I could, but I tried to make it as if hard mode meant going through areas with moderate risk, a lone pirate frigate or fighters intercepting you, so I picked LLC for defending against missiles, decent shield against moderate firepower and teleport jammer to prevent boarding parties.

Just read through it. Lots of spelling errors and some of the powers are kind of lame due to the way they're written or how stuff like immortality is just hand waved away with a flat out "cause i don't want you to have it" type of excuse.

It does have some other interesting options though and can give different abilities depending on how you choose your clothing items.

It's always nice to see new (or old but almost never posted) content, so thanks again.

>Vest of Invisibility
Not being noticed is one of the best skills you can get, if you're clever enough.
>Pants of Shape-Shifting
Unless you're literally morbidly obese, this is objectively better than Shape-Keeping. Also, there isn't an explicit gender limitation; I'm a smallish guy, so I should be able to turn into a tall girl.
>Gloves of Proficiency
Toss-up between this and Understanding People. However, the loose "involves your arms" conditions makes this a better choice - part of public speaking is knowing what to do with your arms, anything you do on the internet needs your arms to use the keyboard, etc. Also, sleight of hand synergises very well with the Vest.
>Boots
This is really hard. On the one hand, Stealth and Nondetection work with the Gloves and Vest. On the other hand, Seismic Sense, Navigation, and Accident Prevention are all generally useful. I'd probably end up picking Accident Prevention for when I'm proficient in dance, rock climbing, or burglary.
>Hat of Problem Solving
Cleverness is the best superpower.
>Bracelet of Overcoming Doubt
Does this completely take away my capacity for self-doubt, or just make me not crippled by it? Because no doubt at all leads to bad places and me picking Artistic Expression.

>Extras
Most of these seem like traps - 3, 5, and 6 are varying levels of deadly without enough willpower, and the rest aren't worth half your lifespan - Ring of Energy is a good panic button, and Glasses of Translation don't have too many downsides, but they aren't really worth it.

Vaguely rogueish build, but with a strong focus on versatility.

Ok here it is, my first build since 1.2 or some such nonsense:

Federation Civilian "Capt. Tennyson"

Basic Piloting, Standard Piloting, Advanced Piloting, Ship Gunnery, Ship Weapon Specialization (Kinetic), Standard Combat Training, Advanced Combat Training, Mechanics, Nuclear, Computer Science, Medical, Industry, Diplomacy, Mercantile

The Traveller

Venture Class Frigate "Deliverer"
-Beatrice v6.8.1 AI
-Mana Core
-Mana Shielding
-Herald "Blink"
-Overdrive Afterburners x5, Nano Armor Coating, Teleport Jammer, Hangar Bay, Hull Reduction
-Missile Pod x2 (BS), Flak Cannon x2 (BS), Autocannon x4 (PD), Torpedo Silo (Sp), Missile Launcher x2 (BS), Artillery Cannon x2 (BS)
-Scout Drone, Mining Drone, Hull Repair Drone x2, Science Probe x2
-AT Dunebuggy
-MK2 & 3 lenses, Salvage Harvester, Composition Scanner
-Officers Quarters, Standard Infirmary, Fancy Mess + Tavern, Ore Processing Facility + Factory Wing, Cargo Space + Engineering Bay, Lounge + Rec Room + Observatory, Meat Fridge, Aquaculture Room + Hydroponic Garden

Crew
-Mikka Akimoto (Chef)

The ship is not fully functional all the time as I can only be so many places at once but between the AI, my Japanese chef, and myself we keep the ship together and running. We started as a whole crew of explorers searching the fringes of space for fame, fortune, and a space to live but instead we met misfortune and defeat at the hands of a wormhole and lots of bad luck. It just the three of us now and I aim to keep us alive, even if we can't seem to find our way home.

Well, I finished rolling

My Yandere Waifu
Or should I say waifus

Are twin sisters that are both older than me, so, I'm going to go with 21.
They have light skin and black eyes with blond hair.
They have D-cups with average asses
They are from another country
Twin 1 acts very proper and courteous while Twin 2 is shy
Twin 1 is secretly very intelligent and Twin 2 is a genius and has won awards for her intellect
Twin 1 is a black belt in martial arts and Twin 2 loves to cook
They are both skinny and taller than me (fffuck)
They have tattoos as well! Apparently with my name on it some where... nice?

Twin 1 is dedicated and obsessive over me, and wont let any one else in, accept for her sister
Twin 2 must be close to me at all times or she will enter a blood lust that will not end until I am near (going to work will be fun)
Twin ones weapon of choice is hand to hand combat. Fitting, as shes a black belt
Twin 2s weapon of choice is a piano wire

Since there twins I thought the 19 I rolled seemed fitting, so they time travel. As to if its true or not... Fuck it

Twin 1s tells are she bites her thumb until it bleeds, and starts filddeling with the nearest sharp object
Twin 2s tell is she start blurting out random numbers and starts masturbating, no matter the circumstances.

Welp
Nice knowing you guys.

Me and about 50 of the guys from town follow the courier.
>He tells us we will be meeting with the rest of the army near Grey Mountain, where the Necromancer has occupied an old abandoned fort near its peak.
>It takes a few days march, but eventually we make it.
>There’s about a few thousand other men gathered there; some mercenaries like myself and some local levies.
>Most of the realm’s forces have been distracted at the southern frontier by border conflicts with those pesky Frondians.
>This is all we have to work with.
>The next morning, we begin the advance up the mountain.
>Resistance is light at first, a few sentry post put up a fight, but not much.
>As we near the top things start getting hairier.
>We encounter cultists, whole companies of them.
>We power through, but lose a few hundred of us in the melee.
>Finally we near the walls of the fort.
>Skeleton archers posted in the turrets and on the walls pelt us with arrows.
>We charge forward with our ladder men.
>Many of the men don’t have shields and start dropping all around me.
>I’m untouched, luckily, and reach the wall.
>The ladders go up.
>We scale the walls.
>We have a hard time securing the walls and courtyard, the struggle takes well over an hour of non-stop fighting.
>The remaining forces of the Necromancer have locked themselves in the keep.
>I finally take a moment to look around.
>Is this all that’s left!?
>Gods, there’s not more than a few hundred of us left!
>But… we’re so close, let’s just hope they’re just as depleted as we are in there.

>We start to ram the door of the keep.
>It’s heavy and barred from the other side, but we manage to force our way in.
>We charge in.
>It’s chaos inside.
>All sense of cohesion and order is lost in the small space of the keep and the confusion of battle.
>I... I think we’re losing?
>I can’t tell, we’re definitely not winning, but they might not be either.
>I fight my way with a few guys up one of the staircase, to the second floor.
>That’s when I see him.
>The Necromancer, even though he’s probably no older than me, looks visibly aged.
>The the dark forces he has harnessed are in the beginning stages of corrupting his form into something… other.
>He locks eyes with me, the pure blackness off them unnerves me a bit.
>Don’t let him psyche you out…! I-I’ve got this!
>The two beside me and myself charged forward.
>The Necromancer cast some strange, otherworldly dark magic at us.
>The two others crumple up in agony.
>He missed me, though.
>Before he can react, I drive my sword square into his chest.
>His eyes go wide in shock, a sort-of black ooze seeps out of his instead of blood.
>Then, he makes a futile gasp for air before sliding off my blade and crumbling to the floor.
>It’s over.
>By the end of it all, there’s a hundred of us left.
>We march to the Capital and are welcomed as heroes.
>We get award a what you could call a small fortune each.
>Being the guy who actually killed the Necromancer, I become a bit of a national celebrity.
>I could get used to this.
>Time for some wenching…

>Three kids. My one son can be a bit of a buffoon; takes after me in that regard, I guess.
>Crops are coming in nice this year, we’ve gotten some good rains.
>One day, a royal courier rides into town.
>Oh hell… what now?
>We gather round him at the square.
>He clears his throat and reads from a scroll.
>He says that it seems that through some dark magic from beyond the void, that Necromancer from all those years ago has returned… as a Lich.
>All able-bodied men are to report to the Ducal mustering field effective immediately.

>A few moments later, they're all gagging, gasping, and huddled over in pain.
>Some start vomiting blood before dying.
>We look up and down the stream.
>Then we see it.

I bring presents, along with a somewhat canon but not really build with some meaty lore for those who care about that stuff.

Also, have over 2,000 collective images that I've used in Star Dust (excluding the ones I lazily copy-pasted from the internet without saving them).

Keep in mind these are .rar archives, not .zip.

Character images (302.4 MB):

Everything else (604.3 MB):

The .psd file for this build:

And I'll upload the .psd files for the CYOA sometime in the future if anyone actually wants them.

I wanted to see more builds like this, incorporating the elements of their build with the setting. Not just "these are ships that can shoot things and survive a confrontation with other ships".

Unfortunately, it just seems that a lot of people in /cyoag/ aren't interested in a collective universe; they need to make their own and are more interested in explaining their thought mechanics. Alas, I tried.

I spent a lot of time building the setting, but I don't really regret it.

People don't want to step on your lore toes, despite you telling them they're free to and that the lore you put in your own builds and such can be completely ignored.
>>
>>44336194
Mainly because they have an excess amount of everything and go beyond the standard bounds that I made while building the ships. For example, going over 25 armour--I make it clear in the stats that you can't do that, but dreads are the only exception to this rule. I wanted it to be known that these ships are already built to have everything.

That's all I can really say, though.

>>44336255
I don't blame them, I never really did. It's just a thing I wanted to prod, but they see the CYOA in their own light and that makes me happy enough.

All said and done though, I really, really don't care how people interpret the lore and make it their own. Seeing them build a setting from mine is amazing in its own right.

The question is, are they useful for anything but target practice?

>>
>>44336194

Because the Stardust space station doesn't have a space dock and other tools necessary to make alterations on ships of that size?

Because the design is too complex to easily modify without messing something up?

Because it is already designed to spare no expense and throwing more money at the problem is unlikely to produce further improvement?

Because it is already fitted with all of those upgrades, except for stealth which is impossible for a ship of that size?

Take your pick.

This looks really cool. I hope you get inspired to finish it. I do agree with the other poster it could use an image or three on the first page...maybe a pale background hinting at the sea and a few tall ship types sailing around or just 1 good ship picture and maybe a captain image (male/female)
>>
So does the ship with the mining lasers require the ore refinery or can it be a separate ship that mines and the refining ship then uses a tractor beam to pull the ore in?

I've been screwing around all day trying to find a build I like, and now it's late afternoon.
Remember to drink coffee and take panadol/we the American one is.
>>
>>44337214
Not SDA here, but I imagine separate would work. It might be easier in the lore to have them on the same ship, though, since the mining lasers come with a tractor beam to haul in the ore.

SDA, I have a question if you're still here. What ships can safely enter a planet's atmosphere and/or land on a planet's surface?

It's a Carrier build designed to be a Neutral Merc company that takes a bunch of rag tag ships that people can scrounge up and turns it into a proper war fleet.

The main idea is that each of the fighters have a command module that benefits everybody.
The dream combination, based on the Gae Bulg is 5x Leviathon, 5x Kraken for permanent massive buffs to attack and defense, 1x Atlas to improve all ship modules and help ships with energy problems, 2x Valkyrie to permanently lock down the ship that is the biggest threat, and 3x Banshee to AoE nuke down shields and disrupt with EMP enemy electronic systems.

Different anon, question about the Lamprey Boarding ship. Says it has two hanger spots-- does that mean we can have something in it's hanger while it's in a hanger? Or do we need space to store whatever it's carrying along with it while it's not deployed?

I figured we do need the space, just clarifying.

You can roll the serpent of Eden. That this is the same one as Satan is practically biblical fanon. No indication of it in the actual text.

I realize that to fulfill my vision I will probably have to make 2 builds one with regular credit amount, that should be able to fulfill all of the contracts except for the antimatter canon one and another with double the money as if I picked choice a in the meta CYOA that shows what I will be getting once I have a bunch of missions under my belt.

For the Fighter hull I really like the PI V17 with its high speed and 3 points of hangar space to allow the fighters to carry drones into battle.

For example getting torpedo bomber drones through the thick of the fighting allowing them to act as an additional booster engine while they are docked with the fighter and being deployed on the final approach once the shields are down.
This also allows the torpedoes to be reloaded on carrier without taking the fighters off of the field of battle.

Beacon drones to daisy chain from the electronic warfare module on the carrier while it is safely back from the fighting.

Another big idea is to use shield drones and perhaps shield extenders to protect those ships that are being focused down by the enemy, then deploy repair drones to help fix the ones that did get damaged. Kind of like the spider tanking that is popular in EVE Online.

I was thinking that this group would be individuals who are following the teachings of the ancient Terran philosopher Ian M Banks hoping to achieve the culture in which artificial intelligence minds and humans coexist, with many crew member's being scientists pursuing AI sentience.

To this end they would use mind linked controllers even borrowing some to each ship that joins them.
Letting the pilots focus on their own ships with the AIs taking care of the overall flow of battle.

That's it for the core concept.

Yeah, all serpents could talk, until they degenerated after the Flood, because of all the inbreeding.

I'm trying to make the Stardust pics into a PDF with the newest update plus both DLC's so no one has to spam 7 pictures for the CYOA but my PDF's using many online PDF creators all end up over 30mb

What the fuck

You have to reduce the image quality. Not sure how readable it will be at í MB.

I would help but my computer is dead, and I am stuck on an Android tablet.

By the way, does anyone have an idea how I could produce even MS Paint quality CYOAs on Android?

You are trying to do too much. I don't think I have seen any Carrier builds with the latest Stardust update, even much less ambitious ones.

As for Meta CYOA choice A, most Anons would either mock you or ignore you. That CYOA is quite reviled nowadays.

The Serpent is Satan is Lucifer in common understanding of Christianity. That neither of the three is the same individual and that one is even on Gods' side is something only people who study the religion itself know for the most part.

You forgot the 9 headed Dragon from revelation, Baal, Cheemosh, Beelzebub...
>>
>>44338449
Nobody really knows how to handle Baal, since that part of the Bible was written during Judaism's "Sure, other gods exist, but they're loser and didn't create the world so fuck those pussies." phase, which is hard to reconcile with the modern form of that religion and its offshoots that believes no other deities exist.
