You are Gloria Sotohiko, former Commander of Team Conquerer, of the Yamato Japanese-American Women's University Tankery club. For six years you served under Joanna Almark, Team Captain, and one of your closest friends. You one several minor US titles as part of the team, and even placed high in the International Senshado Tournament a few times.

Your Team, Conquerer, was composed of you and your four best friends, having known them all since childhood. Kindergarten, to be precise. Alexandra Steiner, Annabeth L'Vert, Doreen Green, and Lauren Jarek. You put your trust and friendship in each of them, and knew it was secure until their last breaths. You can't help but think about them. And how much you miss them. But you have other things to worry about now.

Because you are Gloria Sotohiko, Captain of the Okinawa Joint American-Japanese Girl's Academy Senshado Club. And you're in pretty damn dire straights right now. Two tanks, six teams, only two of those teams having any experience in a war machine. You've called in all of your teams to inspect them, get to know them, and send them out on their first mission: Finding the mysterious tanks supposedly stashed on-board the Okinawa. At your side are DC, leader of C Team, and T Atkins, leader of Hound Team. They've promised to show you around and help you get familiar with the crews.

>Cont. Welcome back, gents.

"Commander!" DC leaves your side to stand with four other girls infront of one of your two tanks, an M4 Sherman painted in perfect olive drab. "C Team, at your service! We are veterans of the Tankery team, and experienced with our Sherman! Though, we've never actually been in a battle..." She says, losing steam. One of the girls behind her clears her throat, and she snaps to attention again. "Right, yes. Tex, our Gunner. Missi, our Loader. Cal, Radio Operator. York, Driver." The girls... you hate to call them 'generic', but they really are. Crisp and perfect school uniforms, with red bands around their right biceps that say TANK in blocky black letters. DC returns to your side as you move to the next team.

Standing infront of the other M4 Sherman, this one painted in wild... dazzle camo? Maybe? It hurts to look at, for sure. Bright yellows and purples and greens. "Jota Jolyne, Team Wyldchild commander. This is Cy Phy, our Gunner. Ad Vance, our Loader. Pina Colada, Radio Operator. Tina Tomorrow, Driver. We're in the same boat as C Team." The girl infront explains. Baggy purple sweat pants, cut off purple hoodie with yellow jargon painted on the front, no shoes, hair tied up to look like two panda ears atop her head. Each of her girls is dressed similarly. You're nudged along by T.

"Now for my girls!" She cheerily says, swinging her arms wide as she walks backwards to stand with them. Two cling to either side of her, giving big thumbs up and cheeky grins. "We're the urban combat club. Or we used to be. Budget cuts means we ain't got a club no more. Buuut, we gotta have an elective club, so we went with tanking. We still get to shoot people, right?" Big grin. "So, we did do a little practice, just to find our places. Vickie Kandle, gunner. Tanya Tanouye, Loader. Mary May, Backup Gunner. Rika Lester, Backup Loader. Milly Ricketts, Radio Operator. Art Gammon, Driver. Yeeeah, hopefully we can all jam in one metal box!" They're all in school uniforms, but distinctly lacking the pristine look of C Team, instead looking lazy and thrown together, save for their perfectly in place elbow and knee pads, and pushed-up out of the way safety glasses. Each wears a pistol on their hip, and a couple have Tommy Guns slung over their shoulders.

"Tch. Have you no shame at all, Dogmeat?" The leader of Eagle Team, next in line, pipes up. T bounces along with you while you step up to inspect the three woman team next. "I am Amaterasu Yomi. Team leader and radio operator. These are my subordinates, Tsukiyomi Itomi, and Benzaiten Satsuri. Gunner-slash-Loader, and Driver, respectively. We are part of the Archery club, but sadly funding dried up. You'll find this quite a common issue on our dear Okinawa." She explains. Prim. Proper. Each wears a traditional miko's robes, with bows strung over their shoulders. Yomi carries a daisho set on her hip, and the other two wakizashis.

"Kinda full of themselves, but pretty useful in a scrap." T stage whispers in your ear. "Ami-chan can be hard to get used to, but she really is a doll." She swears. The girl bristles.

"Silence your cur mouth, Dogmeat!" She hisses, earning cackles from T as she drags you along to- What.

"Despite appearances, no, we do not have a team of Magical Girls to solve all our problems!" T says, grinning ear to ear. You can be forgiven for making the assumption.

"Team Happy, miss! We're the Idol club! Or, we used to be. You know... funding." The girl, she looks younger than you. Freshman maybe? "I'm Takahashi Mina! Team leader! This is Kojima Hara, gunner. Shimazaki Hara, Loader. Miyaki Sakura, Radio Operator. And Matsu Juri, Driver!" She happily explains, as each girl strikes a pose or waves cheerily. You swear to Christ and Buddha, they're Magical Girls. They're sure dressed the part, frilly little dresses and ribbons and bows and... idols. What's the world coming to when idols are climbing in a tank?

Well. That leads to the main issue, don't it? They're not in a tank. Supposedly, Teams Eagle, Hound, and Happy all know where a tank might be. You should probably join up with one of them in searching, while the others go search for theirs as well. But do you have anything to say to your crews first?

"Alright!" You clap your hands to get everyone's attention. "We're gunna need to get a move on! We need to get more tanks. That's the bottom line." You gather the crews around. "Eagle, Hound, you know where to find a tank?"

"Eeeh. We got an idea. Our old stomping grounds had a big garage. We just gotta see if we can't sneak in there." T explains. "War Club took the joint over." She smirks. "Hopefully they catch us and we have to fight our way out."

"Dogmeat, try to contain your rabidness." Amaterasu complains. "We do know of a shrine where a tank may be hidden. We shall handle it. The Ninjitsu club... will not be an issue." She says, hand resting on the hilt of her katana.

"Oooh, Ami-chan's all fired up! Gunna get me excited~" T exclaims, wiggling her hips. The two start sniping back and forth.

"Riiight... Team C, Wyldchild. I need you two to try and see how the Automotives club might respond to working with us. Don't try and push, just get a feel for things." You order. The captains of said team salute. "Now, finally, Team Happy... apparently there's something below deck?"

"Yes ma'am! We know there's a tank, a Churchill, I think, below deck. But it's in... well, a bad part of the ship. The delinquents hang out there. They made it part of their clubhouse..." Mina explains.

"We, as the Senshadou club, have full rights to it." DC snipes.

"Yeah, tell that to Lilly." Jojo snorts. "Have fun with her, boss lady." She waves as she and her crew depart, followed hastily by DC and her crew. Eagle and Hound both wander on out, wishing you the best of luck.

"Uh... well, um, Commander... we're not really gunna go and talk to Lilly, are we?" The Happy girls look pretty worried at the idea.

You nod. "Of course. We've got two options here." You explain, motioning for her to lead the way. She sighs and does so, her girls following behind the two of you. "Don't talk to her, don't get even a chance at a tank. Or, we talk to her, and maybe get a Churchill." You're sure your grin is reassuring. "Besides, I'm sure she'll listen to reason. And if she doesn't..." Your hand finds your sidearm, patting it comfortingly.

"Yes ma'am... I dunno how good a plan this is, but we'll follow you." She mutters, scuffing her feet. You walk for a while, the girls nervously muttering to eachother as you go along. Tall tales about the terrors of the underdecks, delinquents and black markets, violence and lewdity. Apparently it's a rough place. Well, Lauren and Alex will handle i- oh. Right. Kinda brought you down there...

She directs you to a heavy metal door in what looks like a shed. They all hide behind you and outside the shed as you grasp the handle. It griiinds open with a grumpy shriek, revealing a stairway going down. Sitting on one of the steps, illuminated by game systems in their hands, are two girls, both smoking. They eye you, then smirk idly, scooting to the sides so you have room to file down. The Happy girls stick close to you as you head down.

Paint and sharpie signs on the walls give directions to 'Shops', 'Boss', 'Boys and Girls', and 'Jeanie's'. You make a mental note to probably avoid one of those. Of the other three, what do you want to look at first?

You have some interest in the shops, but... eh, better to go straight to the boss of this joint. Signs and paint lead down more stairs, down hallfways and through busy boiler and engine rooms. You skirt past Naval Studies students, through the 'Shops', which is a number rooms, and a large cargo chamber, all full of stalls and stands and the like, full of various things. One large stall you pass has a massive tank gun hanging behind it, along with various other sorts of parts.

But, you have a job to do. Onwards you go, until you find another cargo chamber, full of couches and partitions, radios and lamps and televisions, and girls laughing, dancing, and chattering everywhere. And in the center of the room, a girl in a school uniform, with a big black kimono thrown over it, stands ontop of a god damn throne. Seriously. A throne. Looking to be made out junk, with blankets and pillows thrown over it all over the place.

But the throne, while ridiculously tacky and eye catching, isn't the main attraction. It's the Churchill Mk I that's under it. With the throne built ontop of the huge turret, the barrel pokes out between where your legs would go if you were sitting in the throne, draped with flags and with... yup. 'Flags' of the kind Infantry would take if they took your tank from you. The girl ontop, you would assume this 'Lilly', is singing karoke, poorly, while swinging around a bottle of some sort.

The Happy girls continue to cling to your sides and back.

You approach the tank, getting a good eye of it while the girl sings and laughs. It's a Churchill Mk I. Nothing real special, but the paintjob and the throne built onto it. You can see where the metal parts have been welded in place. That'll take a while to clean up. The tank's been painted black, with white skeleton grins and orange jack'o'lantern cackles painted here and there. "It's spooky..." One of the idols mutters. "Very spooky..." Another agrees. To your eyes, it looks... surprisingly good. As in, potentially usable in its current condition. You'd need to look at the engine, and try to start it up... The song ends, and you clear your throat.

"Oi, songbird!" You shout, getting her attention. And the attention of a lot of others who are hanging around. "You the boss around here?" You can see her face light up in a cocky grin, as she drops into the seat, lazily lounging.

"The one and only! Lilly Jackson! And you would be...?" She looks around. "Nobody told me we might have a new girl around. Let alone a pack of cute ones!" She teases. The Happy girls do their best to hide behind you.

"Gloria Sotohiko. Captain of the Senshadou club." You explain. "This is Happy team. We came for the tank." Arms cross as you stand tall. "We-"

"Yooo! Happy Team? As in, Magical Happy Experience? The Idols?" She bounces up and jumps off the throne, onto the tank's armor, then down to the ground. "Yoyoyo! You're Takahashi Mina! And the Hara sisters! Miyaki Sakura, and Matsu Juri! Yoyo! This is great! I'm such a big fan!" She's shorter than you, but taller than the underclassman, energetically pushing you out of the way and shaking their hands wildly. "Man this is so cool! Hey, can I get you drinks? It's just soda, security doesn't care enough to do much about us, but if we did anything illegal down here they'd bust our asses, you know?" She whistles and motions at some girls.

"But yo, man... you? We miiight have a problem."

The Happy girls are drug into the throngs of delinquents, who all seem rather happy to have the idols around. "Now, this here? This is my tank. I won it in a bet." She explains, climbing up onto it, towards her throne. "And I got no reason to let you have it."

You consider the tank, and Lilly sitting ontop of it. "I think you misunderstand." You explain. "I am not asking for the tank. We're the Senshadou Club. All tanks on this ship belong to us. I don't care if you're using it as an ambulance, or the Captain's personal limo." Your arms cross and you stare at her. "We are offering you the opportunity to name a price, and if it's reasonable, I'll see what I can do. But I am taking that tank back." She leans forward, staring you down.

"Oooh, big ole pair on this girl!" She grins, tapping her fingers on her knee. "You're not real impressive, you know? You look more the sort to have muscle doing your work. The way you walk, you're used to people at your side, ready to hurt somebody for you." She explains. You flinch a little, outside your control. "And I think you're lacking that muscle right now." She's got the shittiest fucking smirk on her face.

"Whether you sell it to us as a favor for Magical Happy Experience, or I come back here with the rest of my girls and take it from you, we are taking. That. Tank." You say. "Your choice." Her smirk doesn't waver. If anything, it gets stronger. She starts to open her mouth, when the Happy girls pipe up.

"Pleeease miss Lilly?" They all whine at the same time. You look behind you at them. Oh shit. Puppy dog eyes. Oh shit, yo. You jerk around, holding your breath. You will not be caught by the eyes! You won't! Lilly. Poor Lilly. You may be pissed at her, but you don't wish this on her. She looks kind of sick, cringing away. "W-well..." She seems lost for words.

"Pleeease? We'd really appreciate it!" They cry out, in unison. "We got a really neat idea! We like what you did with it!" Mina cheers, bouncing up and down. "We're gunna be Super Spooky Experience! It's gunna be great!" She claps happily.

"I, well, I mean..." She stutters, drawing back and wincing. Oh shit yo. Don't look. You'll get caught in the cute. The delinquents look rather uncomfortable and ashamed, kicking their feet and rubbing their necks. Some look from the idol to Lilly, glaring at her. How dare she make them pout and whimper?!

Oh shit. One of them is whimpering. Another sniffles. You're gunna whip Lilly's ass, you swear to God and Kami-Sama. It's on now! She sighs sadly, head slumping. "Ok... I'm sure we can work something out..." She mutters, standing up. "Alright, alright. You can have the tank!" She siiighs at the cheering form the idols and the firm nods of the delinquents. You chance a look. They've stopped pouting. Good.

"Uh, yes, right." You clear your throat. "We don't have many funds, but we can get you tickets to any Senshadou battles we compete in." You explain.

"And tickets to our shows!" Mina cheers, and the idols cheer with her.

"Y-yeah. That'll do... yo, Commander. We need to talk though. Girls!" She claps. "Escort Happy, er, Spooky Team back to the Tankery garage! And take the tank with you!" She says, hopping down and motioning for you to follow her.

"What do you know about Oorai, and Lafayette? The winners from last year and the year before that?" She asks you, heading into a shipping container that's been filled with a couch, a TV, a big ole lay-z-boy... She flops into the chair as she looks to you. "Their situations before they won? It's been all over the Senshadou forums."

"I've seen it. There isn't anybody in the Senshadou world who hasn't heard about it." You muse, thinking about it. Two Cinderella teams, both coming from failing schools that needed an injection of money or they'd be decommissioned. They kicked ass, took names. Was before Infantry was internationally recognized, an American thing only. Heh. Tankery's a bit different now... "So, what? You think I'm trying to replicate the Oorai miracle by putting teen idols in charge of a tank?" You grin.

Her look is somber. Grim. "I think the student council is trying to replicate the Oorai miracle, by pulling in a skilled commander from another ship with a respectable Tankery dynasty. For the exact same reasons as Oorai." She quietly explains. She keep grinning. But it fades. And fades. And now you're frowning. Well.

"Then, the budget cuts..." You mutter.

"Are to keep the boat floating. Clubs and programs are getting slashed. We need funding. The Tankery club... it's actually next on the list. Then us, the Recreation club. Then... well. Others." She says, leaning back.

Well.

"Ah..." You mutter. It's... oddly calm. You just lost one home, the Yamato. Now you might lose another, one you haven't even been to your damn dorm in. You feel a lot of anger, deep down inside. It's boiling. But you put a clamp down on it. Keep calm. Think it through. Joanna, your Captain, taught you to never get flustered. Never get shaken. Take the problem, find the solution.

"Well. The solution, and the only option, is to win then. And get... creative with fundraising." You say, nodding. "Who owns the vending machines on the boat?" You idly ask, earning a chuckle from the delinquent. "We may not have the best tanks, or any tanks really, but I'm gunna do it. Because I said I would." You firmly decide.

"Well alright!" Lilly cheers, bouncing up and holding out a hand. "We can't do much tankery, but if you find a tank you need manned, we got a few girls who could try it out. But we're good muscle, and we can get you parts and contraband from all over the world. At a price, of course. Can't buy things with no money." You shake her hand with a firm nod, and she leads you out. "AAALRIIIGHT, Recreation Club! We're throwing our lot in with the girls in the thirty ton war machines! Give 'em your hearts and souls, and try not to get splattered!" She sounds happy as a clam.

You, on the other hand, are having an internal breakdown. Losing the Yamato nearly broke you. You couldn't find anywhere else to accept you, and the Okinawa was a literal god-send. Now? Now it's out the window too. And you have to save it.

You want your friends back. They'd be able to fix this. You could do it together.

Your walk back to the surface is dark and lonely, and you come into the sun redfaced and wiping away tears shed in solitude. But you have a mission to do. Time to take command.

You set on towards the warehouse. Need to see if the others had as much luck as you did. From the shouting, laughing, gunfire, you would say so. Gunfire. Welp. That's... god damnit T. ...somewhere, deep inside, you know you will say that often.

You head in, and immediately are quite pleased! Sitting in the stations are a M3 Lee, and a Jagdpanther! Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. As well, of course, is the Churchill. You pause, briefly, in your walk to hit a Hound upside the head, 'encouraging' her to stop trying to flip the Eagle girls' skirts. Amaterasu and T are at eachother's throats. The Hounds are laughing and eating sandwiches. The Eagles are trying to escape the molestations of a couple of Hounds who have finished their meals. Team C is cleaning their tank. Team Wyldchild is dancing on theirs. Hap- Spooky Team are cheering and singing while delinquents remove the scrap throne from the Churchill. There's a massive crate sitting in a station where a tank should go. A tall girl in a school uniform is inside the engine of the Lee, trying to work on something.

What's in the box? You approach, crossing your arms and considering it. It's a very large box. You could fit a tank in there. You hope it's a tank. It better be a tank. God, that'd be so nice. You find yourself simply holding out a hand. An odd habit you developed over the years, you'd need a tool, it'd be in your hand, delivered by one of your girls. Fff it hurts. Like losing four pairs of arms. You approach the box with your crowbar and begin prying it open. Be a tank. Be a tank. Be a tank.

"Heeey, Gloria!" It's not a tank. What the fuck? "You look like you've seen a ghost!" It's Berry. Berry A. Khetos. A girl from the Yamato, a close friend of Doreen's. You'd all joke behind their backs that the rich girl was Doreen's sugar momma, the way she rained money and gifts on the girl. Tall, leggy, busty, blond and blue eyed, and rich as Daddy Warbucks. You're glad Lauren and Doreen started dating, otherwise you'd have to have this girl as part of your circle of friends. Not that she wasn't nice enough, sure. But she's the sort of girl who'd mail herself in a giant shipping crate, with a hammock and a lamp and a pile of books.

Which is what she's done.

"Berry... what?" You ask.

"Well, daaarling, Doreen was absolutely shattered by your leaving. Lauren got even more quiet, hard for a mute girl to do. And of course, Alex immediately retired from tanking. And that girlfriend of hers, Annie, she followed her as well." She muses. "Guess when Alex said she'd not tank without you as commander, she meant it." She turns a page in her book. "So, things have been rather depressing without you around."

"...it's been like, a day." You say. "Like, twenty..." You check your watch. "Eight hours. Twenty eight hours."

"I paid for express shipping." She simply said. "I simply haaad to come and see you. And you know how money can grease aaall the right wheels." A cheeky little wink. Instead of a tank, you got a crazy rich girl.

"Well no. Are you calling me fat?" She asks, smirking. You roll your eyes. "Not THIS crate, no." She says, returning to her book. This crate? Is there another? You step out of the crate, handing the crowbar off to the tall girl waiting at the door, and look around. No. No crates. You feel a tap on your shoulder, then a finger points towards the doors to the garage, where a crate is being pulled in on a trailer by a jeep. "Ah! Wonderful, thank you Lauren." You start towards the door. Then you pause.

Lauren, a girl who easy brushes six feet tall, but stick thin, waves at you when you look back at her. Short brown hair. Yellowish brown eyes. Driving gloves and school uniform.

Do you have a twitter that lets us know when the next one is? There's a big gap between the first 2 and this one and I've been craving a GuP quest for some time.
