Maybe it's location art, with little descriptors to let the mind wander.

We've had a greentext shitposter spamming the board for a month or so now. /tg/ being /tg/, some of the threads have turned out all right, no thanks to the idiot making the threads.
>>44200637
They're not bad threads for the most part. Ones like this give me images and inspiration.

Regardless if you meant for this to be a thread about scenes, I say we board, conquer, and turn this into some profit!
With that being said;
/tg/, what is the the area/climate/geographical area you are having trouble with?
Personally, I'm trying to create a world wear adventure is abound in the primary form of archeological mysteries, undiscovered past secrets, long logistical nightmares of trying to get funded, and deadly combat that is fast paced but played like a boss fight.
Problem is I have no where to start this grim bright story. Every good story needs a starting point! So, what kind of city would you think would be the best? Main theme is low magi but high mystery. Will continue
>>44201385
Continued.
I have New Rothsberg picked out for the name, but lack most of the basic principles of making it a city near Victorian age. Renascence time period work.
>>44201385
I'm having some trouble with creating background for why people may set up towns and small fiefs in bogs and what they'd cultivate from the region
>>44201385
>trying to get funded
I thought this was the part of Indy's life that we didn't want to bother with
I mean, unless we want the PCs turning into crabby academic gatekeepers who get back at academia by sneering at their students' ambitions, hogging funds for their own projects, and stealing work from people who are more intelligent and qualified than them.

>>Consumer Storage
>>44205206
Clever. I like it.
>>44205206
That doesn't even make any sense.
If you own the guys you're selling shit to (which you do if you have "consumer storage"), why the fuck are you selling it to them? You fucking own them.
>>44206996
Where do we even start with this?
also reality leaking out
>>44207037
What do you mean?
If you own people to the extent that you can store them and keep them and generally order them about, you don't need to take their money by selling them shit -- in fact, you don't need to take their money at all. They get their money from you to begin with; taking it from them is just incestuous. You can cut out the middle man and get them producing for you. Because money is not anybody's aim; it's what it buys that people give a shit about. And you've already got what their money could possibly buy; themselves.
>>44206996
>>44207216
>If you own the people
The people aren't directly owned by anyone. "Consumer storage" is just a pun, playing off the fact these people (consumers) are living out of converted shipping pallets (often used for storage).
>>44207301
Oh. I thought it was a clever pun based around the fact that megacorps would treat consumers as a good to be bought and sold and stored and used.
>>44196716
Is that the one from the shitty Roger moore film?
>>44207216
>>44207216
Jesus you're dense, you realize that it's basically a nod towards modern consumer society, right?
People go to work for corporations/banks, to earn money that they pay to corporations/banks for their food, housing and entertainment.
It's superior to slavery because people show up to their shifts by their own free will and feel grateful for the money you pay them that they'll spend on things you sell them.
>>44207402
Do you think that by "own" I mean "they literally have a piece of paper saying the people are their property"?
In any case, people obviously don't feel grateful. We've been through similar shit before, and it lead to stuff like Marx.

>>44204007
I take it you've seen a thread that reflected that. I honestly don't want to GM fair it and say "our journey begins on the road to blank." It would work but it would reduce the characters down to a combat person since it's all they need to deal with.
