IVAN is a great game. Golems can be made out of any of the materials in the game, which means you can encounter trivially easy ones that are made out of fabric or banana flesh or pork, but you can also encounter ones made out of diamond or adamantite

I always saw golems as animate statues with joints, so was never a fan of any unreliable or less-than-solid substance.
Clay, stone, metal = good. Ice, wood = unpractical. Mud, fire, cloud = non-nonsensical/not a golem anymore. But a lot of these find there way into various sequels of the MM across D&D editions.
