>Tell me your middle name

But I don't have a middle name

Is this game poorly developed for not foresawing this? Not everybody have a middle name

Also have you ever played Nightmare?
>>
>>44095168
I have two middle names.

What do you say to that?
>>
What kind of monster wasn't given a middle name?
>>
>>44095263

Why did you steal OP's middle name?
>>
I have a Middle Name but no First or Last Name.
>>
>>44095263

Me too. Isn't it great how so many forms, especially on the internet, just don't support having two middle names, so we have to pick one like we're animals?
>>
>>44095407
I've got just one, but two surnames. That's an issue in itself.

Also, my calling name (?), the name people call me, isn't technically my first name, so the first name in my name is my middle name and the middle name in my name is my first name, if that makes sense.
>>
>>44095480

That second part is at least pretty common, I've known a few people who went by their middle name for whatever reason.

But wait, when you say you have two surnames, you mean in a way that isn't just, like, a hyphenated name? How does that even happen?
>>
>>44095275
>What kind of monster wasn't given a middle name?
My father
>>
>>44095532
Both parents had interesting names, so me and my sister got both. It's not that uncommon around here, although not exactly common either. It's apparently way more common in Spanish- and Portugese-speaking countries,

Usually, I just go by my calling name and the simpler of my surnames. No one can even begin to spell the other one.
>>
>>44095650

Well, you do you, I guess. I'm sure you get it harder than us with two middle names, since nobody really cares in a form if my middle initial(s) are A, J, or A J, but any surname confusion has the potential to be really annoying. Although, I guess if you're in an area where it's common, ???.

tl;dr Things are weird.

What does your middle name mean?
>>
>>44095742
One where they order names slightly differently?

I know Koreans reverse the order of family name and given name. That's why their leaders were Kim il-Sung, Kim Jong-il, and Kim Jong-Un. So it's hardly a stretch that some countries would have slightly different conventions, reversing the order of first and middle names.
>>
>>44095742
Sweden.

The middle name/first name/calling name confusion is actually somewhat common, but it rarely matters since nobody anywhere ever use their middle name except when filling out forms concerning identification where filled-in name must exactly match what's in the official database. Thus, you only ever get to know it if you ask.

The two surname thing is a bit less common, though, as I said, but I know at least four other people I'm not related to who also have several complete surnames.

The game is poorly developed for a lot of reasons. The chance of people without one middle name is the least of this game's problems. It's frustrating, and you never get the pieces you need within the time limit, and you spend way too much time in the Blagg Hoe.

The first two are used in common parlance and mistaken for first-last. The last is for people you're, well, intimately trusting of. Family, battle-brothers, lovers, whatever.

Where I'm from, when that's the case, the first surname is effectively just a middle name and the last one is a real surname even though both are written as surnames on your ID.
