I want to get into wargaming, /tg/. I'm thinking about giving it a whirl with the "Little Wars" rules set, as written by H. G. Wells. Is it any good? Also, what would be a suitable (affordable) gun to use in the game? Those naval gun replica's seem to be quite pricey :/
I've seen alternative rules with paper standees instead of miniatures, and shooting paperclips with a rubber band. The only real cost there is cardstock, printer ink, and time
It doesn't work anymore, since it's written for toy cannons with springs that were way stronger than what's allowed in toys today.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

From that point and on, it becomes awesomes
The rules for little wars, I need them, how does the system work?

You shoot at the opponent's toy soldiers with spring-loaded cannons.

Sounds like fun

But the thing is, toy cannons back then were way more powerful, since they didn't have pesky laws about not making dangerous toys and stuff. Modern toy cannons simply can't fire hard enough to topple over toy soldiers from the same distances.

lego toy cannons are good enough idiot. or a fucking nerf gun use your imagination

I would personally use a Nerf Triad rather than a toy cannon. or a Jolt

>lego toy cannons
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, but okay.
