Why is Corax so retarded?
>>
>>44048975
Grief fucks with people man.

His Legion was sent to the forefront of the Drop Site Massacre. Which is Emperor levels of retarded actually. Send the sneaky cheeky breakie Beakies to a full frontal assault. He wanted to have his Legion help the Imperium so he tried.

I wont fault him for that. Corax is one of the more sympathetic Primarchs in my eyes.

>>Banished all the original Terran XIXth Legion spess mehreens to deep space because reasons
Its because they were too brutal. But at least he made the Carcharodons eventually.

He didn't think that was going to be needed. He thought that the other legions helping him, Vulkan, and Ferrus out wouldn't betray them and make things quick and easy.

Then why didn't the Emperor send the Stealth Legion in the second wave? Or deploy them on the other side of the planet to make fuller use of their guerrilla tactica.

Sending the stealth legion to a full frontal assault, at all, is a terrible choice.

Emps didn't decide anything. Ferrus did. Big E was on the Golden Throne and in shock about this mess Horus started.

Same thing Corvus said to Horus that one time. Terran marines still said "Dad, Horus is based and if he says frontal assault at the front gate is a good idea, it probably is."

They're the ones who wanted to rush the gate like Orks hopped up on cocaine. But the real reason Corvus took the job was Perturabo. He hated the MK6 armor and wanted a heavier armor with frontal assault in mind. He just goaded Sneaky Beakie Prime to do it.

>>

Proud.

They hunt the Emperor's enemies, prioritize the rescue of the helpless, scare the fuck out of the enemy, and have their own uniquely badass fighting art.

The RG do the job without needing to bend or break any Codex restrictions either, which says a lot for their ingenuity.

He's intense enough that Mr. Sleeveless Viking (named for his braided mustache and insistence on never wearing arms on _anything_) isn't in a hurry to challenge him to a pull-up contest, but chill enough that the kind of pretty ("I'm into abstract painting and hair styling") lad who's on the wrestling team isn't set off by anything.

I disagree; only because modern RG have serious trust issues with anyone not them. Nobody trusts them because they have a reputation of using allies as bait etc etc etc. But Chapter Master Shrike is going to goldenchild fix their reputation apparently. SO Corax might dig Shrike, but til then RG were still RG but didnt really have a brotherly relationship with other chapters. Though thats really a problem of 40k in general.

If the story about that battle where Girlyman beat them is true, then Girlyman could easily be one of the Twins. Which would explain the respect.
>>
>>44072944
Nope.

Iron Snakes have been confirmed to be Ultramarines successors.
>>
>>44074632

German lexicanum:
>Die Iron Snakes sind ein Space Marine Nachfolgeorden der Ultramarines aus der zweiten Gründung, der eine sehr eigentümliche und stark vom Codex Astartes abweichende Ordensstruktur besitzt.

> der eine sehr eigentümliche und stark vom Codex Astartes abweichende Ordensstruktur besitzt.

A strange Chapter structure that differs strongly from the Codex Astartes

English Lexicanum:

The first days of the Iron Snakes are difficult to pin down; reportedly a Second Founding chapter, their Legion of origin is unknown. Although they pay respect to Roboute Guilliman, it is uncertain if they are an Ultramarine descendant, particularly as they are a non-Codex Chapter.

Totally Ultramarine genseed there.
>>
>>44074683
>>44074715
The very fact that the Damocles Squad that was led by Captain Saur Damocles of the Ultramarines is more than enough to confirm they are Ultramarine successors.

Unconventional tactics and divergent organization aren't a point in the legion's favor, since the Ultramarine's successors are quite well varied in their tactics and level of adherence to the good book.

>>
>>44074934

>>
>>44075033
