Simple map game. You are the ruler of a kingdom in an island nation.

Pick a number, and your main assets will be revealed. You can go forward as you choose. Cultivate trade, make war, etc.

Year is 1469.

Mountainous and full of ore. Being on a shore gives fish. Good defense.
>>44040612
Full of coves for many harbors, it has land for crop farming, fishing, and raising animals. It is sure to be a major exporter.
>>44040632
Very marshy, its people have the defensive advantage of having no neighbors. You also get the extra two islands.

Okey doke - I'd like to focus primarily on being a maritime power rather than one with the best land forces. Primarily interested in trade though, and particularly in stopping any piracy that jepordises the naval trade between the two large islands (names?) and the Lathe Islands in the center.
>>
>>44040714
newfag here, looked interesting so I took a number. How do we go about this? I'll proba bly wait for others to take numbers and post more before doing much.
>>
>>44040714
Neat, seems like 13 is a lucky number !

The newly founded Republic of Treize begins to build a flotilla of boats able to handle longer trips than the tiny fishing vessel they use. These boats are used to map the island where Treize is located.

The cartographs see another, bigger island from far away, and decide to explore it once they know more about their own island.

Treize is dotted with tiny farming communities, and most taxes are paid in food. The capital city of Treize is a trading hub, Cornucopia.

Beautiful shores, beautiful women, and beautifully brewed booze, you will surely be a hot vacation spot for the wealthy.
>>44040771
Huge forests cover the border with 9, and you better not be planning on using that coastline, for it is craggy, cliffy, and generally not a very good coastline. Your supreme defense on both sides mean that you will never be raided, but will have a hard time exporting your large amount of ore, and importing a large amount of food.
>>44040778
Your shores have many coral reefs, making it a prime fishing spot, but a terrible dock. You also have a small forest.
>>44040839
Great coasts, and farmland inland. you also have a rare species of tusked animal, which is held in high value by the other nations, though if you do not lay off the hunting for a while, it will go extinct.
>>44040945
You have a huge forest all the way to the shores. You also having a good harbor with places to fish.

Kingdom of Fingolia will start building a wall to keep those dirty foreigners out of our lands(red on map)

A capital city will be build on the blue spot. It's called Spurdola.

For now, our main source of food and income will be from fishing, and almost all of our workers who are not builders or soldiers are fishermen.

Every man and woman aged 18 will enroll in the military for 1 year.

Carrying a knife is everyman's right.
>>
>>44040913
I assume the world is round? in which case we are also neighbors! The Ministry of tourism invites you to come see our beautiful shorelines and sample our women! Also the minister of trade would like to start a route between us exchanging amazing beers and liquors for grain and animal products

The Kingdom of the Lathe Islands is comprised of three individual territories: the dominant Lathe Island, and the two smaller islands, North Gelen and South Gelen. The capital, Keat, lies on the northern shore of Lathe.

As stated in >>44040841 it has historically been a maritime nation. The Lathe Islands have few valuable natural resources, but have good quality wood and pitch from the marshes in supply. The poor quality of the land for farming, as well as the fact that the kingdom's lands are separated by sea, have both necessitated the country's naval focus. Much of the food - especially livestock - must be imported, although the Islanders are naturally keen fisherman.

Whilst the Islanders are brave and hardy, they do not have a very advanced or well equipped army. Should they ever need one, good quality arms would have to be imported.

For the meantime however they are confident that their navy should be able to repel any would-be attackers; and that as they do not provoke larger nations the likelihood of large-scale conflict is small. For now, they want to trade.

>>44041128
>>44041113
Replying.

>>44041208
Gracious Alderman, your generous gift is gratefully accepted. Whilst all trade routes are important to the Islanders, your people can rest assured that our ships will go the extra mile to help protect your shipping lanes.

>>44041224
Noble leader, our people hunger for food other than the salted fish and mushrooms that are their staple. May we offer you some fine timber or pitch in exchange for cured meat and bread? We may even build you a small number of ships if long-term trade is established.
>>
>>44040871
Because of mountains Macademia is somewhat isolated from other kingdoms, focus on trading by sea. Locals are fine with trading, but generally dislike/distrust outsiders that wander out of main port city. Macademia can sustain itself with fishing but focuses more on importing/exporting. Has a unique way of metalworking, as well as a rare ore that is valued for making weapons/armor.
>>
>>44041273
Your people hold a slight grudge on the monarchy for forcing them to work for nothing, but keep it to themselves. This is strike one. You can erase it by being successful. You are now in a small amount of debt. Better start harvesting some wood.

Dear King of Macademia, The Grand Alderman of Won sends his humble regards, I propose an open door treaty between our two nations, though my people view your distrustful view of outsiders and backwards we have much to gain from each other, I propose trade of a rare and unique vintage of wine for small shipments of ore. I'm sure your people would like to visit the legendary brothels of Won

After the diplomats had sealed the trade agreement, the first Lathean trade ship arrives in La Republique. The sailors are baffled by the realm's lack of a monarch; they ask residents of a coastal town how the land is governed if not by kings and queens?

>>44041303
After the Lathean court sampled your beautiful booze, interest in the Nation of Won has doubled in the realm. Expect more Lathean visitors to your coastal towns.
>>
>>44041511
No problem, 2 then
>>
>>44041503
Great Alderman,
Macademia accepts your proposal, and looks hopes that this will be the beginning of a long and prosperous trade partnership.
>>
>>44041533
You are small, but powerful. On the top are many fields, but underneath, is a vast cave system. No other kingdom knows of this, and so you will be underestimated in a fight.

By the way, wars, sports games, natural disasters, and other things will be rolled by me.
>>
>>44041613
The cave system is full of ore, I forgot to mention.
>>
>>44041529
The people of Treize explain that a representative is elected for each region of the country. These representatives are closer to the people, and as such, know what theur communities need.

It is actually a pretty recent development, as the former monarch was ousted after abusing its priviledges one too many times. Now, he probably exiled somewhere. The people of Treize don't know about the former king's whereabouts, and really don't care, as they are pretty happy under this system.
>>
I increase the taxes on imort and exports by 1%.
The capital from doing so is put towards a better road system and a larger port near the northern boarder.

I also send diplomats to both République Insulaire de Treize and Kingdom of Fingolia.
>>
>>44041493
>>44041493
To the mighty god-king of The 10th Empire:

We would like to trade with you, we can give you fish and oysters, clams, and cockles if you gave us ore.

>>44041342
We will of course give the people what we owe them. We start giving them pay for their hard work. And as a token of good will, they will get a day off from work once in a week.

We will also start harvesting wood.

We use some of the wood to make longbows. People are taught how to use them in the army.

We reach out for the people across the pond for possible alliances.

>>
>>44041564
Noble King, I fear we do not have much in the way of resources to offer you - but I hope we may have cordial relations however as two maritime nations in close proximity. Perhaps however a friendly rowing race could be organised between our peoples? It would be a good opportunity for our respective royal courts to meet one another.

>>44041613
OP, can you roll this up if Macademia accepts the invitation?

>>44041670
The sailors return home with tales of this novel form of government. Time and possibly OP will tell if the people of The Lathe Islands begin to yearn for the same system.

Macadamia has two major cities. The port city of Cashew (marked in red), and the glorious capital of Pecan (marked in purple). Foreigners are welcome in coastal cities, but few have visited Pecan. Occasionally, Macadamia will invite a foreign ruler to the capitol to improve relations. Macadamia is well known for its smiths and metalworking techniques.
>>
>>44041701
The 10th Empire would be pleased to begin trade with our oversea neighbors.
Although you should be aware, our cliffed coastline will make for very slow trading.
>>

Excellent, six of the stronger Lathean rowers are selected, and a boat specially constructed for the race. The royal family: King, Queen, heir (married to a Keatean noble), his infant brother, and two unmarried daughters are in attendance, as well as numerous courtiers and nobles. Their attire is rugged (by the usual standards of nobility), but their manner is warm. They even bring the last of the Beautiful Booze gifted to them by the Grand Alderman of Won as a guest gift.

After a few expeditions to Lathe, some sailors from Treize think about the problems their allies face.

One of the sailors speaks of it to his cousin, a farmer. When the farmer hears about the damp marshlands, he seems puzzled. "Why don't they just drain some of the water into the ocean ?", he says to his cousin.

When the sailor returns, he tells the citizens of Lathe about the ideas he heard : By digging ditches, it is actually possible to drain enough water to have some arable land.

Macadamia congratulates the Latheans on their victory, and escorts the royal family to the capitol. The Macadamian royality, consisting of the King, Queen, and young son, mingle. Macadamia would like to make an annual rowing contest a new tradition as a sign of friendship. We will best you next time! The King would also like to orchestrate a meeting and discuss the details of more trade between countries.
>>
>>44041982
The trade proposal is accepted warmly. Latheans - used to a rugged life of sailing and living off whatever the land and sea will give them - have grown a taste for the gentle wine, and the even gentler caresses of the whores of Won.

>>44041929
>>44041849
The competition goes strongly in the favour of the Lathean rowers, but they are remarkably humble at the feast. The feast is warmly received, and the King personally expresses his desires for closer ties and cooperation between our peoples.

>>44042005
The citizens share this advice to the local count at a town gathering, who in turn shares it with the King. The King seems keen to try this, but will need to find tools of sufficient quality for the operation, and the right expertise to teach the Latheans to better manage the land.

>>
>>44042297
We send diplomats looking to arrange a trade agreement that will offer grain in return for lumber.
>>
>>44042447
It's a mystery.
Trips work like this: NAME##PASSWORD
>>44042408
Bows look good, construction is taking a lot of time, but coming along well.
>>
Taking a short break. Back in less than an hour.
>>
>>44042292
Macadamia is potentially willing to forge arms and armor for your nation instead of raw ore, but will need compensation to do so in large amounts. We would also like to send diplomats to your nation for discussion of a potential peace treaty, as we will be arming our neighbors.
>>
Also taking a short break, should be back within the hour. might as well take care of stuff I have to do now instead of later. Good thread, looking forward to more
>>
>>44042408
The 10th empire graciously accepts your coral gifts.
Some of our smiths have taken an interest in the medium and may wish to trade for lager pieces to be carved in the future.
>>
>>44042493
Your nations scenery is very popular with our people. They have one complaint and that is the lack of places to worship the Emperor. A few of the richer nobles have offered to pay for the construction of a temple in your capital. (Unbeknownst to the officials that the Emperor himself will reimburse the nobles)
>>
>>44042493
Absolutely, an ambassador will come bearing gifts from our country to yours. Some of our most beautiful cattle, both for you to keep, and to have a great feast.
>>
>>44042512
We graciously accept the diplomats trade agreement but ask that they don't send missionaries anymore as we are firm believers in the one true religion of Patriarchat
>>
>>44042489
Noble king of Fingolia, We see your coral jewelry, and envy it. The Whores of Won would like to wear it. The Grand Alderman, gracious be his name, would like to trade you tasty vodkas made in Brewston for the coral jewelry.

>>44042458
Oh Fallen Star Emperor. Your faith intrigues us. All faiths are welcome in Won, For many gods can be seen in the heavens by a whore on their back, as they say. You may build 3 Temples to your faith in Won, at your expense. However for that we would like a better exchange rate for your iron
>>
>>44042663
We Thank you for the Cattle, We have mostly open fields and would like to start breeding them, Would you teach us how? For Coupons?

>>44042642
Thats funny we made the same offer to each other. You may Build three Temples, one in each major city. But Know We are a land of many faiths.
>>
>>44042752
We inquire as to whether or not we can erect temples in your capitol?
>>
>>44042669
We will offer you terms of 2 carts of grain for 1 car of lumber IF you allow us to build temples as our merchants require a place to worship when travelling.

>>44042752
We accept the offer. The temple is constructed of primarily stone with orange and yellow tapestries to be hung in as many spots as possible. The temples quite large and the ceiling is a full three stories high coming to a point.
>>
>>44042608
I believe we could do some arrangements.

>>44042670
To the Grand Alderman. We accept your offer. Fingolians are very excited to try your spirits.
>>
>>44042752
I'm sure we can arrange an exchange of knowledge. We'll send some farmers to tell you more about how to properly care for the cattle if you send some brewers to teach our people how to make fine liquor.

Does it sounds fair to you ? If you are alright, we can start the trade as soon as you want.
>>
>>44042558
>>44042558
>>44042558

How strong is Fingolian military?
>>
>>44042663
>>44042493
Gentlemen, though we three realms are governed by different means, it seems our interests are very much aligned. I would like to formally invite the highest members of society to Lathe - roughly midway between you two. Supposing we both aren't too badly damaged by the storm, I will also be inviting the king of Macadamia and as many of his family as he can bring - Macadamia is a proud nation, and should be a welcome partner for our alliance. There I hope we may formalise our brotherhood together, and agree help one another as brothers should and increase our mutual prosperity.

Alderman of Won, your offer >>44042292 is accepted. Your embassy and your people are always welcome in the Islands - I only regret they are not as beautiful in your homelands. All we ask in return for helping garner tourists for Won is that you use your mainland presence to procure more wood for our ships, that we might continue serve as a safe trade link and scourge of piracy between our alliance.
>>
>>44042945
Not as beautiful AS, my apologies.
>>
>>44042945
We send an diplomat to your shores with the intention of building relations. Accompanying him is a missionary. We also bring a gift of 6 well bred horses trained to run long distances across our plains.
>>
This started in spring, and now winter is upon you. How do you prepare?
>>44042592
You are badly damaged by the storm, will anyone aid your people?
>>
>>44042863
We refuse this deal absolutely, if those are the terms than we shall accept one cart of grain for one cart of lumber.
>>
>>44043009
We stop building the wall during winter and continue in spring.

Do we have enough fish to survive the winter?

Fingolia will also send some scouts to [14]
>>
>>44043009
I assume trade is restricted in the winter?
>>
>>44043009
We send people to Macadamia trained in the healing arts to both spread the faith and help the wounded.

We gather our grain stockpiles and move them underground. If it is extremely cold we will move our farm animals to the warmer coasts.

>>44043037
We grudgingly accept the 1 for 1 deal.

We turn 40% the lumber we acquire from trade into bows and arrows. The rest is stockpiled.
>>
>>44043009
The 10th Empire will gather along the coast for the winter, where the temperature is warmer, and the cliffs protect us against flooding storms.
>>
>>44043009
Were my lands also severely damaged?

To prepare for winter we gather marsh mushrooms to be dried, and begin to stockpile the food sent to us by the Republic as well as our own salted fish.

>>44043002
The missionary is welcomed less for his religious fervour and more for his learning; Islanders are not naturally religious, and those that are pray to the Sea, the Land, and their child the Marsh.

Any gift is welcomed in the Islands, however Islanders make no use of horses as mounts or beasts of burden. The duke who received them in the kings absence had the horses killed and their meat cured; meat is the more precious commodity, especially when winter is drawing in. Still, despite its purpose being confused, the gift is appreciated and the Islanders view the empire more fondly. The diplomat is given an exquisitely crafted model ship as a sign of goodwill.
>>
>>44043067
Yep. You'll want to stockpile.
>>44043064
No. You'll want to trade.

All kingdoms not claimed start to stockpile.
>>
The Glorious Nation or Ztenky will mainly gather in the middle of the country and stockpile all the food and lumber
>>
>>44043131
Not as damaged.
>>
>>44042861
Please explain your religion, and yes you can build three major temples, one in each major city if you trade us lumber, in exchange for a rare type of absinthe, to suit your peoples.

>>44042863
Did you agree to the increase rate of exchange for iron, one barrel of whiskey for say, 3 iron bars?

>>44042875
We believe the coral jewelry is great, the Royal Whore has even been seen wearing many fine pieces. This is sure to create a fashion craze and hopefully will increase the price of your jewelry. Of course that means more taxes for us.

>>44042925
Okay, you may pick one type of alcohol and we will train 10 Brewers in our Universities to brew that drink! in exchange for the ability to raise a mighty cattle herd. We also welcome the young nobles and scholars to come study at North Point, one of the leading centers of research in the land.
>>
>>44043106
The 10th Empire will also salt what food it has to prepare for the winter
>>
>>44043009
The people of Treize are as usual prepared for winter. The harvest were bountiful, and the stockpiles are filled to the brim with the products of the year.

The citizens of Treize concentrate their attention on the animals, and fish to complement their diets. Some of the sturdier plants, such as cabbages, even keep growing under the snow.

>>44042945
The coucil will send representatives with their arms filled with food. We are eager to cement our alliance formally.

While we are at it, we're willing to help any of you should winter be especially harsh.
>>
>>44043131
Upon seeing how you treat the horses for meat the diplomat is initially shocked. He then informs you that if you lack for food we are a land of plenty, food is something we never go without even the poorest of the poor can find a meal at the temples.

The missionary is frustrated with the peoples lack of understanding but refuses to give up on the poor souls who don't understand the glory of the Emperor.

>>44043176
These terms are acceptable for the Emperor always comes first in the hearts of our people.
>>
>>44043162
Ok we continue to stockpile then, as winter draws on Lathe ships return to their harbours to avoid the winter storms. Some ships however harbour in the lands of Won and Treize.

While the storm has meant our capacities to aid Macadamia are more limited, a shipload of marshwood is sent from the king's own purse to help the rebuilding effort.>>44042592
>>
Would like to claim 3 if you have room
>>
>>44043162
Is [6] dead? an anon claimed it way back in the beginning. It would be nice to trade with.
>>
>>44043140
Fingolia will send poachers to [14]

We will also send a message to Republic of Treize, and ask crops in exchange of a military alliance.
>>
>>44042592
We will send aid in the form of financial bailouts to help you rebuild,

>>44042945
We also will send you financial aid packages to recover from the summer storm, but winter is almost upon us. In the spring we would love to meet you and the representatives of the major kingdoms on top of the world, I was thinking that myself. But before We even get that fat The Grand Alderman wishes to sign a 25 year non aggression pact,

>>44043009
For Winter THe Nation State of Won, will stockpile [15] fish and use the timber we are getting from [5] to house the cattle from [13]. Salted fish and beef will last us the winter. We also use coin from trade taxes to prepare anything needed for winter. We will also use our new leather to make stylish yet functional winter clothing for the Royal Brothel Guard,
>>
We send two carts of lumber to the Kingdom of Macadamia

>>44043176
We believe that many years ago a man born with the essence of God was born and showed people the proper way of worship and performed miracles such as healing, however he was martyred and will come again. This deal seems appropriate

>>44043131
We ask for a trade of lumber for pitch
>>
>>44043176
After a long debate, the council chose to ask to be taught the art of making whiskey. However, most of the council isn't pleased to be limited to one kind of alcohol, and believes the kingdom of Won is trying to shortchange Treize.
>>
>>44043249
Any Latheian ship crews wintering in Won will receive discounts at any Royal Brothel, their beds are warmer then any ship
>>
>>44043218
>>44043332
Agreed. For now we accept your aid, and in the spring we shall convene on Lathe to discuss the terms of our arrangement. The King signs the non-aggression pact, and as your emissary returns home for winter he even sends a decree of formal alliance for those 25 years with his signature upon it to the Alderman. All it requires is the Alderman's signature to be binding.

>>44043218
The food is gratefully received, and - pending the gathering in Spring, the same signed treaties are sent to your leaders.

>>44043338
We will begin trading in spring. May I suggest we use the Kingdom of Macadamia as our land link?
>>
>>44043360

And diplomat and missionary are sent during the winter. We bring 6 of our horses as gifts. We would like to inquire for news as to the political situation of those on your isle. The men sent are amused on your system of rule and this it's 'interesting'.
>>
>>44043301
Your people are savage in the eyes of others. You will have a hard time trading. Your people are just misunderstood, though, and are really quite smart. You have enough ore, timber, and farmland to not need to import anything. You also have the only knowledge of gunpowder in the land, and will not share it with others. You only have basic fireworks, which would be enough to terrify and burn your enemies. If a war starts, it's likely to stem from you.
>>
>>44043360
The royal breweries must protect their craft, after all, however The Grand Alderman, as merciful as he is has agreed that anyone elected by your peoples to the position of Brewmaster, a long honored position in Won will be able to learn to brew any alcohol as long as you agree never to trade it to another land. We would like to request grain be added to our trade route, we will buy it with coin.
>>
>>44043233
>>44043233
The duke of North Keat (where your emissary is received) is offended at the suggestion that the Emperor is a better provider than the Sea, but the missionary is still granted the hospitality Islanders always feel they owe to those who have travelled to their lands.
>>
>>44043301

We would like to know the state of our diplomat and missionaries.
>>
>>44043516
The council is pleased with this new developement, and swears that the secrets of Won will be kept religiously. As a gesture of goodwill, a shipment of grain of the highest quality is sent as a taste of what's to come.
>>
>>44043482
Also, as Winter approaches the Royal Brothel Guard will begin building earthwork walls around the villages in the south to help protect against wind and snow, also to protect against raids from the south lands, as the whores have been hearing strange tales of late
>>
>>44043482
Cool.

The Wahequan Tribes are led by a group consisting of two representatives of each of the seven tribes. They convene once a month to consult.

Our burning powder, which we previously used only in reverence to the great spirits, must be researched for more purposes, perhaps to send messages across vast distances. We are surrounded by enemies, and must be prepared to defend ourselves at any time.

>>44043525
They have been sent away whence they came. We will not have outsiders invade our land to sway our people from the will of the great spirits.
>>
>>44043360
To the great Republic of Treize:

Fingolia is in need of food. We ask you to provide us food for the winter, in exchange of a military alliance. We will protect you if you are attacked. For our men are strong and trained.

If this is not enough, I will give you one of my sons as a hostage.

Signed: King of Fingolia.
>>
>>44043176
It is a great honor doing business with you. We would ask you a small favor.

We have never been in the best term with Republic of Treize. You will get the next batch of jewelry for free, if you speak good words of us to their leaders..
>>
>>44043613
Our they sent away by the council or an individual member?
>>
>>44043706
They were held in prison until the council next gathered, when it was decided that they would be sent back.

Be grateful for the lenience, outsiders. There were many that wished to kill them and be done with the matter.
>>
>>44043634
Fingolia, once spring has broken the King of the Lathe Islands will be sending a diplomat to you to inquire about trade and bringing with him many documentation about the splendour and glamour of the Won coast.
>>
Can I claim 12? I think that is still open
>>
>>44043797
We welcome your diplomats to our lands. We will gift them with finest coral jewelry.
>>
>>44043482

We attempt to get our local currency widely adopted. Each unit is a 0.5 cm cube made of iron, copper, or gold. To prevent forgery each bit is engraved with a star and must weigh within a 2% tolerance to be considered legal tender. The coins are only minted in the capital.
>>
>>44043212
The People of Won Would like to know more about your god king
>>
>>44043910
This weird currency cannot be accepted! We believe that coins made of coral is the future!
>>
>>44043941
Err we don't have any influence on your isle yet we've only contacted The Republique so far and have yet to see a response.
>>
>>44043634
You seem to be in good terms with both Lathe and Won. The people of Treize won't put our past clashes against you, and start sending some food.

The military protection is welcomed, but the council can't possibly separate a family, and won't accept your hostage. They believe you will hold your word, and hope this will be the beginning of a long relationship between our people.
>>
>>44043910
Sorry, ment to also include this in the above post, Your currency intrigues us, as your temples keep trying to pay their taxes in these strange cubes we offer your a proposal.
a loan of 4000 of your "coins" in exchange for brothel coupons, pieces of paper about 2 inches by 5 inches commonly used as a standard unit of trade in the land of Won.
>>
>>44043979
oh fugg, I got the idea from your post that you wanted to get it adopted world wide.
>>
>>44043985
We approve of your food aid to Fingolia

>>44043941
We also ask of you a loan of 4000 coral hunks, to be paid back in brothel coupons. Which are good for half off the finest whores. As they say. Trends set in Won quickly spread.
>>
>>44043985
I am deeply grateful of your words. I weep because of your kindness. My ancestors used to say that your people are dogs, clearly they are mistaken. You are good people.

We would like to hold a feast for this new friendship if it pleases you.

We also welcome this new currency, if the offer is available to our kingdom. It seems as if it would be a prosperous endeavor.
>>
>>44044045
We will loan them to you. But we ask alcohol instead of whores, my people have taken a liking to it.
>>
>>44044000
We do we just haven't met you yet. So how about we send our first ship to your shores we bring a a set of 3 bone bracelets inlaid with gold along with one of our horses. The diplomat seeks to know about your political situation and a missionary is also waiting aboard to go out and preach.

>>44043991
Whats the proposed exchange rate? Our currency is base 9. (That way you can make a cube out of the value to make the next)
>>
>>44043476
Your diplomats are welcomed warmly. The people of Treize marvel at the sight of such beautiful horses, and promise they will be cared for.

They inform your messengers that the only other nation they know of is the kingdom of Fingolia. They were pretty isolatinist at first, but the two nations are in the process of mending their relations.

>>44044079
Ah, in case you missed it, Won send you financial aid to help in your rebuilding before winter.

The god king is unparalleled in his craftsmanship, it is said he can handle and shape red hot iron and bronze with his bare hands.

Our currency can be exported to your nation.
Example costs are most everyday costs can be covered in iron (drinks, meals, simple tools), copper is used in trade commonly for small quantities of raw goods and specialty tools made of metal. Gold is for luxury and large trade.

We offer to stimulate your country with an initial influx of 10000 iron bits, 4000 copper, 500 gold.

Because you are interested in our currency we only require the raw materials that was put into making the batch in return or equivalent goods.

We are willing to pay you back an equal amount to your loan in coupons set at half the cost of the royal whore.

At their next council meeting, the Wahequan Tribes discuss rumors of men claiming to be gods in other countries. This disgusts them. For a man to claim to have sway over the domain of the great spirits is the greatest insult. Any who come to our nation with such claims will be forced to leave immediately. If they do not comply, then their lives are forfeit.

On the other hand, the council has decided to welcome anyone who wishes to stand in awe of the great spirits. If someone comes to our nation wishing to learn, we will show them the works of the spirits, and all their glory.

Our borders are regularly patrolled by our great cavalry, so do not expect anyone to sneak in unnoticed. Any outsider's intentions will be made come to light.

Brothers, when we gather at the Council of Lathe, my king will suggest we all sign formal alliances with one another. We will aid eachother should this land come to war, or any other misfortune. Any nation who breaks this accord will be considered an oathbreaker by others. Lathe will pledge her ships in defense against pirates and other hostile fleets.

As a token of goodwill, accept this map and blueprint that the Lathean cartographers have drawn up.

When our feast starts, we will tell our friends and allies of our plans to start taking over [14] sometime during the spring. If they would aid us, we could pay them back very well, since [14] has a lot of wood and probably wild game as well.
>>
I'm going to sleep for the night soon. If you need anything, tell me now.

Much if your land consists of mountain terrain, making land trade possible, but somewhat taxing. Sea trade is welcome, and encouraged. Macadamia has become more welcoming of outsiders, but still holds its tradition dear, and dislikes any change and invasion of foreign customs. The Capitol city is off limits to foreigners except by invitation.

Resources/skills
Ore
Fish
Advanced Metalworking techniques known only by Macadamian smiths

Macadamia believes in a great spirit that lives under the largest mountain in the land 'Pechan Peak'. The spirit created all men, and his greatest gift to mankind is the ore beneath the earth.

The 10th empire hears of this gathering, and while rather disappointed at not being invited, sends decorative bronze masks to the festivities as a token of good will

The Wahequan Tribes wish to create roads all across their nation, allowing their horsemen to go to and from anywhere in a single day's travel.

They also wish to use gunpowder to create signal flares, a firework used exclusively to alert people far away of danger. They intend to set up a system denoting how to tell how much and what kind of aid is needed by the nature of the signal flare, i.e. how many explosions, what color, the duration of the burning.

In this way, they hope to be able to respond to any threat efficiently. Is this feasible?

Macadamia accepts this treaty. Let it be known that we should not be depended on to aid in an offensive war, though exceptions are possible. We will gladly help our allies in defense however, if the need arises.
>>44044735
We will gladly supply arms for a highway guard, as well as cover any extra cost that constructing a path through the mountains might add.
>>
>>44044670
I would also ask, that you invite >>44044777

Your land shares dense forests with [10], and small lakes, more than in any other kingdom, dot the landscape. You also house a minority of frog people. They are trusted among your people, but must be hidden to strangers. They make your forest grow faster, making you able to compete with 5 in the lumber industry.

Good news, now we must only wait for the Alderman's answer. What is your verdict on the matter of Fingolia and [14]?

>>44044849
Whilst the Godking was not invited, the King soon realises this oversight after persuasion by his peers. Documents ratifying the treaty are sent.

Can we get a more specific treaty contract? What resources each nation will provide, requirements of help in case of war, list of participating nations etc?

So far nations discussing terms are:

10th Empire
Macadamia
Won
Fingolia
Treize
Lathe

Lathe will offer pitch and fish produce as exports, as well as policing the sea and trade routes.

Lathe is willing to offer military defence, but is not willing to be obliged to give aid in offensive wars. She may stilldo so, but is under no obligation to.

What are everyone else's terms?
>>
>>44044992
And unless Lathe develops a proper land force she will predominantly give naval aid - though she will also offer her small land force.

Macadamian priests and philosophers feel that such a thing is certainly possible, though many in the nation oppose such a concept. However all can agree, that even if such an idea is misguided, good things can come from an ally whos god and religion focus so much on worship and use of sacred metals. We would like to build a temple devoted to our god and our similar philosophies in your capitol and are willing to accept one in ours as well.
>>44044992
We feel the same as Lathe in matters of war, and will aid in military defense in the form of weapons and armor as well as arming international highway patrols and offering men from our nation to patrol them.
>>
>>44044992
The 10th Empire desires to held accountable only for defense, like Lathe.
We can provide the highest quality in fine, complex, and luxury metalworking, as well as some timber.
>>
>>44044992
Won will provide Units of the Royal Brothel Guard to accompany on your ships guarding trade routes, Will aid financially any defensive war effort and offensive upon request.
>>
>>44045024
The diplomat is asked what the Empire could offer to the alliance and what terms she would be willing to sign?

>>44044735
>to construct a shrine to the sea, at their own cost.
During the talks, the King asks what this cost might be.
