I'm good to run this for the next hour to hour and a half then I have a Christmas Function on, should there still be demand I'll continue where I left off when I get back, I plan on running this for a long time to come!

It's been fourteen years since the downfall of society as we knew it. Poor allocation of resources, namely fuel, reduced us all into anarchy. Those that could fight did, and many died. The first few days were filled with rioting, pillaging, raping, and bloody well any crime you could imagine, soon some of the fires started going out. That's when the shelling started, and with it the Petroleum Wars. May call these Wars World War III, but not the whole world was involved, only the parts that could be, nothing has been heard from the rest since power went out, God bless their souls. I sit here writing this journal entry in the margins of this book as I want to set myself and the survivors here with me onto a new path, to rebuild and to make mankind good once more.

Signed, __________

>Depending upon your choice, the civ will have different bonuses and the book will have different content.
>Jonathan Hodges: Survivalist, Ranged Capability.
>Lachlan McAlistar: Economist, Silver Tongued.
>Noah Wells: Tinkerer, Knowledgeable
>Jake Babosa: Labourer, Good with hands
>Taylor Blake: Domestically Capable, Manipulative

or
>Noah Wells: Tinkerer, Knowledgeable

Being an economist in a post-apoc civ has zero use lmfao.

There are other groups of survivors as well as bandits and such.

So you've got a 50/50 vote, if you're willing to could you be a name fag for the civ? Makes everything easier on me.

>>43995065
Sure, I guess. Now that I really think about it, I think Hodges would a better fit for a leader. So I guess I'm going with him.

>>43995152
Alright, this is going rather slow, I'll just wait for one more "player" and I'll use dice rolls to settle ties. If no one comes I'll start with you ahah
>>
>>43995152
I'll second that
>>
>>43995186
I'd have preferred Jake, but this Hodge guy is ok too

Totaled up Hodge wins, with what appears to be Noah as a Runner Up.

Writing now.

Signed, Jonathan Hodges

We sit here, remainders of a people once great, on the floor of an abandoned warehouse, that's nearly been picked clean. Put few resources stacked on the shelves we hadn't turned into defenses. We number 27. 12 men, 11 women, and 4 children, none of these four remember the world that was, I haven't decided on whether to see this as a blessing or a curse.

The sun is rising, and with it the new age of man, so what do I do... The people are with me, they just need orders.

Establish a perimeter. Start building a fence, assuming we have the materials. If not, then we should probably acquire such materials. Are we in an urban environment?

I also agree.

Assuming we know the local area if we have been here a while? So perimeter and guard rotation.

Also as a survivability, may wet knew the area closest by that I'd likely to be safe? Foot hills of mountain, underground cave system, certain areas of a city? Something with fresh water and semi natural protection.

1) Nominate a security team, I want patrols of our immediate area. (suggest 6 men and 2 of the toughest women/ 6 hour shifts in pairs)
2) Begin work on setting up area fencing (4 men an 2 women)
3) us and the last 2 men go recon the immediate area.
4) Remaining women take care of thee kids and ensue food is available.

Dammit, right as I'm leaving for the weekend. I hate December...

1) Full inventory of everything we have
2) Secure perimeter. Equip and organise patrols with orders to go no further than shouting distance and to stay hidden
3) Food and water. Look at what can be grown or caught and figure out if we have enough resources to make a rain trap. If it's irradiated or whatever... Well if it is, we're fucked anyway
4) Scavenger teams to pick up what we don't have. Focus on the safest locations first. Priorities are i-Food and bottled water ii-weapons (especially melee or reusable ranged) iii-building materials like sheet metal, tarps, tape, nails, canvas, etc. iv-power. batteries, copper wire/magnets, solar pannels from houses etc. v-more specialist materials like electrics and so on.

Yes we are in an urban environment.
Resources are as follows, one food and one water is used per day per person.
Food 45
Water 12
Power 5
Medical 3
Mechanical 13
Electrical 7
Construction 24
Junk 40

>>43996444
We have a good idea of the area however we've been holed up in the warehouse for some time.

>>43996485
All are feasible, but we are included as one of the Males and as far as ensuring food is available we only have canned goods and some killed rodents, as it is we have no way of gaining new food.

>>43997268
Inventory is the resources as previously mentioned, a basic rain water collector (plus 10 water per day), a simple cooking range (-1 power per day), and a small solar generator (+2 power per day), and a small battery (max of 10 power stored). This is in addition to lots of shelves and other equipment found within a distrobution center of a small to medium size (pic attached is warehouse. It is two stories entire first being storage and then all the rooms shown that are not storage are on the second floor)

I shall resolve the first resolution of our action with new votes the next time I run this, should be around lunch time in the (+10 GMT) Time zone. Sorry about the delays, had that family thing come up but once I come back from the range I should get this up and going.
