Yes, someone made a mess of them a while ago with proper statblocks. I'd like to have the full list myself, though, I can't remember where I last saw them.

should do a lot more damage than 4d4. This thing became a meme because of its lethality.

Also it's attack should be a trample or spring attack so it can just roll through the enemy.

new special attack:
Trample 5d10 slashing
Special: Bonewheel Skeleton counts as being one size category larger than it's actual size for determining creatures that can be trampled by this attack. Any creature struck by this attack is paralyzed until the end of their next turn.

>This thing became a meme because of its lethality
It's not really that fucking lethal if you have, you know.
Armor or a shield.
Also they're easy as fuck to deal with.

Dark souls babies can't play for shit
>>
>>43979353
> a shield.
Nigga the last thing you want to do is block them. Have them grind your stamina down then break your poise so all of their attacks deal counter damage. You never block a wheel skeleton, you dodge or fucking eat the hit.
>>
>>43979534
I finished Dark Souls 1 twice and Dark Souls 2 once without ever learning how dodging actually works. Blocking wheeletons works just fine.
>>

What crappy shields are you using?

My main way to deal with them was blocking them to a stop and then kill them. It always worked, and had only an ordinary kite shield
>>
>>43979534

I literally only started playing DS last week and I've been doing nothing but block them. I've yet to encounter any skeletons in the game that have given me any trouble at all so far, the ones that reform are kind of irritating but you can just run past them and stab the necromancer so it's not really a big deal.
>>
>>43979873
Same, but I used the spear or rapier's "block while stabbing" move to deal with them. Never had any trouble with them at all. The only time I had to dodge was when I caught the attention of more than one at a time, and even then it wasn't an issue.

Servants of a long forgotten god. Many believed his power faded, with time, into antiquity. This could not be further from the truth. As worshippers faltered and died, they were not whisked away by another, more relevant god. Their souls were forfeit the very second they praised the foul name of Pythomedias. He is the bearer of wheel of time that crushes all things. He is the end of all things. Now, with his whe>>43977768

Those that were powerful in life, kings, warriors, rich men, all lashed to wheels and given grim instructions. Destroy all. Armed with an unending hatred of the living and a nigh indestructible form, they roll across the countryside, salting fields, slaughtering villages, and bringing more souls to their liege of death and destruction.

Meme wars aside Dark Souls was neither hard nor complicated, and these guys are only an issue when they jump you. You stand near a wall, they run into a wall, you kill them in one or two hits before their stun wears off. You can even tank them with a good medium shield, and laugh at them if you can use anything heavier.

Of course, most DaS 'connoisseurs' run around in zero poise pajamas and relied on ninjaflips and backstabs to kill anything, and so naturally got massacred by a fast enemy that chains a fuckload of small attacks if it ever hits you.

A lot are found in the painted world, which is theorised to be the domain of Velka, the goddess of sin, who's probably lawful seeing as she's responsible for forgiveness and retribution.
>>
>>43988091
I thought it was just where Gwyn stuck all the shit he found profane and didn't want people getting his hands on.
>>
>>43977768
Wow OP that picture is WHEELY spooky
>>
>>43988221
That's also possible, the other theory is going by finding both the vow of silence, which is pretty profane granted, but also the pardoner set + rapier.

The crows might be connected to Velka as they share the look, but no link is stated in the game, which makes this even more tenuous than the other pieces of evidence.

Both readings are definitely possible.

Oh, I forgot they drop a souvenir of reprisal which is the advancement item in the Blades of the Darkmoon covenant, which she is connected to.

The wheel was typically a large wooden wagon wheel with many radial spokes. The condemned were lashed to the wheel and their limbs were beaten with a club or iron cudgel, with the gaps in the wheel allowing the limbs to give way and break.

Alternatively, the condemned were spreadeagled and broken on a saltire, a cross consisting of two wooden beams nailed in an "X" shape,[1][2] after which the victim's mangled body might be displayed on the wheel.[3]

A wheel was sometimes used for the actual bludgeoning. During the execution for parricide of Franz Seuboldt in Nuremberg on 22 September 1589, a wheel was used as a cudgel. The executioner used wooden blocks to raise Seuboldt's limbs, then broke them by slamming a wagon wheel down onto the limb.[4]

The survival time after being "broken" could be extensive. Accounts exist of a 14th-century murderer who lived for three days after undergoing the punishment.[5] In 1348, during the time of the Black Death, a Jew named Bona Dies underwent the punishment. The authorities stated he lived for four days and nights afterwards.[6]

>Four days and nights

God damn.
>>
>>43988221
>>43988453
You are both correct. The painted world is both a prison and a monastery. It's where Gwyn would shove all the shit that he didn't want to deal with, and the servants of Velka who lived there served as the wardens. Evidently, that system failed at some point, since all the cages are broken open and the monastery itself is in ruins.

He was probably part of the sect of people who were trying to kill the Gods. The same sect Havel could have been a part of.

If he was petrified before or afterwards, it's unknown. I don't know how he could get petrified in Ariamis.

Maybe he was cursed by Seath, since a Moonlight Butterfly is near the Divine Blacksmith, and he's also petrified.
