Alright lads, listen up and listen good! Seems the fine job we done with that Heretical tosser has earned us some attention, of the most worrying kind.
Get your gear together for returning to the ship! If these Necrons don't stop spazzing out, we'll need to go meet the new boss.
>>
>Gear is all blackened and smouldering with the odd electrical discharge, skull mask is heavily cracked but you can still make out his signature smile
>Still not sure if his mission is complete
>Goes round to everyone holding a picture of Virmanthras and shrugging his shoulders ignoring all the necrons.
>>
>Still disguised as a praetorian guardswoman, the only thing that could give her away as a callidus is that she's keeping her ponytail.

I thought you had already met the commanding crew of the ship you jumped off from, captain.
>>
>>43926752
>gestures to the picture then points to the Virmanthras' remains.

Yeah, we got him alright. That's one more Traitor that won't be bothering anyone again.
>>
>>43926770
>types something into a data slate
>Wave's to you
>Autoinjectors start flooding his blood stream
>Collapses onto the floor
>>
>>43926766
I did, I think Greely did too, I'm not sure if the Inquisitor I met was his or a different one, but the rest of the guy's haven't.
And given that we all witnessed and then killed a partially transformed Daemon Prince -nice work there by the way-, we'll be getting 'seconded' to the Inquisition. It beats getting executed that's for sure.
>>
>>43926802
Also I'm surprised they sent him to do my job too, it's not like a space marine was that dangerous...

>>43926810
Hmm yes I do believe it's your regiment's best option, I've seen inquisitors execute whole populations for much less, hope the inquisitor you meet is in good mood.
>>
>>43926822
>>43926802
Hey, more scarily efficient assassins to kill the guy, the more likely it is that we -all- get to come home, so I can't really complain. Will he be okay? I'm nowhere near experienced enough to attempt to treat an Eversor's wounds.

Oh just so you know, it might been one of these louts that gave that Traitor the artefact, but I couldn't say as I've never seen it before. My sister Alice might have though, if it's the same one.
>>
>>43926875
>>43926822
>A Inquisitorial Thunderhawk Land's
>Stormtroopers clear the landing zone
>Saharduin now wearing some sort of helmet and imperial looking clothes run's out kicks Omicrons body.
>Shrugs
>Picks up the lifeless Eversor
>Collar around helmet glows and in gravelly voices with the odd bubble sound announces

"You any help needed?"
>>
>>43926875
As for the Eversor, calm down he's just shut himself down. They're not suppossed to even be awake outside asignements, the drugs in their system are too lethal for them to bear 24/7.

As for the artifact thing, that's treachery of the first level, did the perpetrator get executed?
>>
>>43926918
*picks up the Eversor, carries him to Thunderhawk*

Least all our gear is about the Inquisition ship. Know what it's name is, Delta?
>>
>>43926906
Not for the moment mate, but if you could leave a few Stormtroopers to watch over these Necrons it'd be appreciated.

>>43926918
>actually looks annoyed at the mention of the execution.

He most certainly did not. Despite the fact that giving the damned thing -assuming it's the same thing- to a Heretic isn't his only crime against the Emperor, nor even the only case of Heresy, he still lives. Much to our annoyance.
>>
>>43926958
That could be arranged quite easily actually.

>>43926950
The Eversor? He might have a dogtag over his neck.
>>
>>43926958
>>43926950

>Collar glows again
"Troopers stay ship"
>points at the thunder hawk
>Fins up at gary

"You skull man friend"

He's not in command of them so they'll go wherever the ship goes
>>
*appears from a bush* me head... Did I take too much fungus juice or something...? *looks around* I'll just... Sit here and be quiet...
>>
>>43926990
No, not him, the ship. Ah whatever, as long as my stuff is up there and I don't have to build a new still.
>>
>>43927027
I don't know. I was dropped at Cadia to infiltrate the sorcerer's ship, after that I was supposed to return by myself. The inquisitor ship up here is... certainly a benefit to speed things up on my end
>>
>>43926990
>grins slightly at that.

Well, we Praetorians will be indebted to you if you make it happen. And a Praetorian always pays his debts, of that you have my word.

>>43926997
Roger that, lets just hope things stay calm down here then.

>>43927027
It is, don't worry. By the way, how do you think we'll do with the I?

>>43927009
You missed one hell of a fight mate! We finally got that Heretic!
>>
>>43927112
Ah, good. Well that all depends on what the boss will be like, and what Ordo they're from. Kinda hope it's Ordo Xenos, personally.

>>
>>43927147
Of course you want the boss to be Xenos. I don't even need to wonder why.....

>>43927179
We're needed here for a bit longer, take....what, Omi wasn't it, up to the ship and get him some medical attention. We'll head up later.

I'd say give it to 75-100 posts for Ny to show before we head up to orbit to deal with our new lords and masters?
>>
>>43927179
So uh, what's the deal with that thing?
>>
>>43927214
Heh heh heh heh... Cause heretics don't make for good ingredients.
>>

To be fair a radical Ordo Xenos inquisitor is probably your best option out of all of them right now, he or she might allow some of these...

Auxilliary troops.
>>
>>43927217
>Bubble noises, collar glows
"Skull man best my combat, I serve him now and him masters"

>You notice the Saharduin is wearing adjusted imperial clothing baring the inquisitorial I and has some sort of void helmet re purposed for water. A collar fitted with a vox unit is also round its neck
>>
>>43927269
We'll most of us are still alive, so that can only be a good omen right?

>>43927281
As long as our new boss'll let us be done with that damned Heretic in our midst then we'll serve them happily. You don't harm a Praetorian get away with it.

Hm...you want me to find you an actual Praetorian Uniform? It should be less taxing than actually forming one? Maybe? Don't know how all that even works.
>>
>>43927353
No, thank you. I'd rather keep it this way. It's more efficient.
>>
>>43927353
I'm sure Alice has a spare hanging all immaculate in your Chimera...
>>

>>
>>43927411
As you wish ma'am, might as well give yourself some NCO's stripes while you're at it. Pick anything you feel like. Excluding RSM, you only get one and Gary beat you to it.

>>43927430
Well we don't keep them in the Chimera's, but aye, our Dress Uniforms are all immaculate. We might need to wear them to meet the boss though.
>>
>>43927470
PANIC!
>>
>>43927485
I'll stick as a grunt, that way I can see how the regiment does really behave without kissing the ass of its higher rank officers
>>

*hands back brassard and starts tattooing the rank onto his arm*
>>
>>43927470
>Nyzart stirs and begins stretching out an arm. As this happens every necron moves the same arm in the same fashion.

Ah. Well.
>>
>>43927541
>looks around the battlefield
That certainly took longer than expected. Have we destroyed the sorcerer?
>>
>>43927515
Well, how I'm seeing it working is we Praetorians, yourself included if you wish, along with a few of the others who are reliable are going to have to be the responsible ones and make sure the Regiment runs, period.

>>43927521
>accepts the Brassard and tucks it into a pocket.

As you wish mate, although we will need to get you some new armo-

>>43927541
>Arthur and Alice both jump as all of the Necrons abruptly start moving, with a shared "Fuck me!" as they scramble to raise their weapons.
>>
>>43927585
>Drops the disguise and aims the C'tan Phase Sword at Nyzart's neck.

We certainly did. Now tell me why shouldn't I just end another enemy of the imperium and why where you infiltrating the regiment.
>>

>Being pretty much a shark you can't tell if he looks fazed or not

>Pilot start's getting twitchy
>>
>>43927629
Please proceed, as long as I can watch.
>>
>>43927629
Well I doubt it changes anything, but I suppose I should be the Arch-Traitors advocate and point out that this Necron has been at least 10 times more loyal than the 'Heretic Helper', who is also still alive.
>>
>>43927629
Because I can enter another body and you are surrounded by my soldiers? And the imperium is the least objectionable civilization to ally with.
>>
>>43927353
I need 'ta ask her why she visited me mind to know if this be her protection or yer strength. Considerin' the enemy was one who followed the boogeymen, I be not as sure as usual.
>>
>>43927674
I do not deny his usefulness nor that he's been helpful to an imperial cause. I'm only stating that he's a Xeno and his entire race have murdered entire world populations for the simple reason of "being there".

As for the other Heretic, he is at least human and thus may or may not deserve the right of a trial.
>>
>>43927686
> the metal frame of Ramothis slumps and falls over

And yes, they are MY soldiers.
>>
>>43927686
>>43927725
*finishes tattoo*
And you think we can't deal with these soldiers of yours?

How many are there?
>>
>>43927694
Well I would attempt to offer advice, but I'm no preacher. All I can suggest is that you believe what you think is right

>>43927704
You likewose raise some good points, however one must give the rebuttal that like I said, this Necron specifically is guilty of.....nothing aside from the obvious, whereas the Heretic is guilty of at least two different kinds of Chaotic Heresy along with many other charges, most of which should had him shot by now.
>>

>Arthur gestures futiley to the area around them, while Alice scowls at the discussion.

I doubt you'd believe me if I told you that the reason is because something keeps coming up, but that's the truth. For example, few days ago we were just about to kill him, the guns were aimed and loaded, then that Sorceror did Sorceror-y things and moved a bunch of Noise Marines into the Tomb we were outside.
That's it. Ask anyone else and they'll tell you much the same.
>>
>>43927831
I suppose I should adopt a form more suiting of my new title.

>>43928064
Look at it this way Skelly: we the Imperium of Man have methods of punishment worse than death. And I'd see every blunter put to good use in some way or another...
>>
>>43928094
That would be the voice of the Xeno's whose burning carcass' on the floor belongs to.

Captain I'll just say it once, I do not deny his usefulness, but I'm not ok on having a Xeno inside an imperial ship for Emperor knows how much time running around analyzing it. Imagine if he uses this data to attack our fleets, he'd know where to hit to cause the greatest damage.
>>
>>43928044
Hey Rama, oh just so you know, you were in line for a Promotion, but I'm not entirely sure if it's fitting now....

>>43928086
Some Heretical porn book he nicked from that Sorceror's ship apparently. It's in the holy box that Enginseer Nine has.

>>43928094
Convict Ron Laroque ma'am. He's a Heretic most foul.

>Both Arthur and Alice bow.
>>
>>43928094
He's a blank, and the heretic in question here. Gets himself into a lot of trouble he could have avoided.

And that? It's the body that Necron just vacated.

Oh and by the way, I struck the killing blow against that chaos Sorceror. There's his body over there...
>>
>>43928134
You seem to suffer from the delusion that all necron dynasties serve things other than their own desires. The silent king is my one allegiance, but even he shows a modicum of sympathy for you humans.
>>
>>43928139
By the context of the last statement...

Are you saying one of your troops featured in... er... one of those... "magazines"?
>>
>>43928111
But we will make use of him Gary, as target practice of course. It's what he deserves.

>>43928134

>>43928139
I remember reading a troubling report from the Absentminded Techpriest at how this blank made a pass at the navigator. IT IS NO SURPRISE HE IS A HERETIC.

I SAY ENOUGH!
THE IMPERIUM HAS MANY USES FOR BLANKS, WE HAVE LITTLE OF THEM, BUT IF WE ALLOW HERESY TO PREVAIL, IF WE ALLOW OUR VALUES TO BE CORRUPTED OUT OF EASE AND UTILITY, WE ARE NO BETTER THAN THE FOUL ELDAR!
>>
>>43928172

>>
>>43928429
I was under the impression that the imperium had mastered cloning technology. Your quartermaster certainly possesses genes that are quite similar to several other guardsmen in this very regiment. nope. Sorry I don't remember. Give me your steam and I'll add you then when I finally log back in
>>
Very well Troopers, I'll call for our Transports. RSM, I trust you'll assemble the men?
>Arthur jogs off towards Battleaxe and climbs in through the rear hatch, while Alice climbs out of her foxhole and attempts to look 'small'.

So, we head topside and while we figure out how exactly to deal with Nyzart, promotions are given out in full da?
>>
>>43928691
Ah, there you are... Some of them, but not all...Take a seat right there.

>>43928743
I'm a heretic again? People need to tell me these things. So I can tell them it's impossible,

Oh. OH. Guess I'll wait for the judgement to be passed. Not like we're doing anything else.

I've also had a bit of a weird time since we last saw each other.

>>43928794

Jeez, that's a lotta leather. Intimidating, that.

>>43928835
Emperor, Rama, good to see you. What... Happened?
>>
>Alice shuffles over to LIX and points to Ron.
>"That's Laroque ma'am. Incase you wished to know...."

>Meanwhile the Inquisitorial Thunderhawk and a pair of larger Troop Transports head towards the landing area, escorted by an abnormally high number of Vulture Gunships, in both Inquisitorial and Imperial Navy colours.
>The Thunderhawk and Transports land in the clearing and drop their ramps, while the Vultures start orbiting the area.
>Arthur climbs back out of the Chimera and marches over to the group.

Alright men! 1st Platoon on the Thunderhawk with the armour! Everyone else on the Transports!
>>
>>43928852
THRONE, NYZART! That's pretty awesome, if a bit heavy-handed. Since apparently I'm ONCE AGAIN in trouble, I can't really vouch for you.
>>
>>43928856
Sucked into the warp that time the Geller field broke, got vivesected and turned into a Thallax somehow, half-expierenced the Great Crusade and parts of the Heresy, regained consciousness a few days ago on board the inquisitorial ship in an old storage locker.

>>
>>43928864

>>43928954
Oh my, Sarge, cuffs? You know me better than that. If it makes you feel safer, I won't complain, but it's not necessary.
>>
>>43928953
Now I'm sure you have your own ship by this point... I may have some patience, but the Callidus appears to have much less...

It's so you don't wander off to get yourself in more trouble. I'm trying to help you here.
>>
>>43928989
>ponders this
Yeah, that's probably a good idea. Thanks.
>>
>Alice walks up the ramp of the Thunderhawk and attempts to hide herself in a corner, meanwhile Arthur is discussing something in hushed tones with one of the Stormtroopers that was onboard.
>Battleaxe and Crusader are driven up the ramp and locked down, with Metal Slug close behind, driven by a Praetorian who then climbs out and jogs over to Crusader.
>The rest of the Regiment has boarded their Transports, which appear to be preparing to takeoff.
>>
>>43929011

>Places the heresy box down on a table in the thunderhawk, before placing the other booby-trapped box filled with the magazines ontop of it and taping both of them together.

Fair enough. I'll gather my honor guard and board your cruiser.

>>
>>43929248
Y'know, the one good thing about this new body is that I can jump again. Nothing like soaring through the air on wings of fire. Makes me nostalgic of when I had a face to feel the wind on.

It's good to be back with the guard after all these years.

>>43929271
Heh heh heh... one has to be a man of action, to get farther than that. You gotta praise the Emprah, and murder the shit out of anything that opposes him.

It's not even the books that Ron directed 9 and the detective to. It's just seventeen magazines flinched from the pockets of random shady guardsmen.
>>
>>43929294
HEY. You're only partially right. I didn't extort anybody, it was so that Lim and I could find another way to boost morale while also making money. The deception part was for that very same reason. GOOD INTENTIONS!

>The Thunderhawk and Transports ease to a halt inside Cargobay Primaris onboard the Inquisitorial Vessel with the Imperial Navy Vultures RTBing and the Inquisitorial ones landing inside the hangar.
>The loading ramp of the Thunderhawk drops open showing a Cargobay with several squads of Inquisitorial Stormtroopers positioned to aim at the ships, mostly the Thunderhawk.
Arthur takes a megaphone from one of the Thunderhawk's Troopers and starts speaking.

"1st Platoon disembark the Thunderhawk and form up near the doors. Rest of the Regiment surrender your weapons and comply with the demands of the Inquisitorial Forces! This is for your own safety."

RSM, strip Convict Laroque of his equipment, along with the rest of em.

>Two squads of Troopers assemble near Nyzart and gesture towards the exit to the bay.

Cheers mate. Alice! Get out here!

"Don't really feel any better. Arthur might though."

>>43930052

There are areas I would not recommend of going, certainly. And persons with whom you would be wise not to associate, should you continue your travels with penal unit.

The paper is meant for the one who carries it so we can conduct discussions with a degree of formality as to the future of world - and how it was you came to kill for Emperor.
>>
>>43930112
Excellent! In exchange for this, I am willing to dedicate a percentage of my forces to your cause, and I will continue to serve with the penal regiment. I cannot say that I won't be called back to my home intermittently, however.

>>43930168
Ron is just Ron. He's going to do the things he does, and he does them for his own reasons. Though, he isn't even close to antagonistic, you just seem to focus on him too much. I need not remind you who has tried and failed to kill him on multiple occasions, while he tried to avoid conflict with anyone on his side.
