So this is kind of like the storythread, but different. Someone posts a picture, and then another anon creates a mission that goes with that picture

Example:
Anon 1: posts pic related
Anon 2: A man in red robes approaches the party. He introduces himself as a Paladin of Nicholaus and asks the party to aid him in hunting a powerful monster. After the party agrees they enter the man's sled pulled by reindeer and travel for a few days in the frozen forests of the northern lands. Eventually they enter a cavern, where they'll be forced to fight a goat-like demon called Krampus.

City guards contact you to deal with a huge problem. A giant has fallen asleep in the middle of a trade route and the city is getting dangerously close to starvation. Once you reach the sleeping giant, you discover that he isn't sleeping, but he's actually paralyzed from a very rare venom. Tracing it down, you find the rogue that did it, emptying the giant's treasure room with entire carts.

A local lord asks the party a humble request. The rememberance festival is closing in, a retrospective lament for all who have fallen in battle protecting the land. His daughter's betrothed had been lost in battle a few years ago fighting an invading nation now crushed and he wants you to try locating his remains and/or posessions to present them to his daughter in an attempt to make her have peace with the fact that he is gone.

Once you reach the site of the battle, you find some warriors trying to enlist you on the "war effort", despite the no wars happening currently. Further investigations provide you with the truth: They are part of the fallen soldiers of both sides, raised by a necromancer that wants to attack during the festival, when everyobody's guard and spirit is down. The man you're looking for is somewhere along the raised.

A few weeks ago, a psychic anomaly near the coast of an important trade port seriously affected the capabilities of psionic users. The city wizards, with the help of the town cartographers, managed to pinpoint the exact location of the anomaly, a low-depth reef.

The navy was sent to investigate, but nothing was found. No psychic sea monsters nor magical maelstorms, there was nothing on the surface.

Baffled by this, the psionics guilds decides to offer a reward for the adventurer party that uncovers the reaons of the anomaly and solves it.

Once the PCs get to the reef, they discover that at the epicentre of the anomaly there's a chained man, surrounded by pillars disposed hexagonally and covered in runes. If examined, these would turn out to be explosive runes rigged to activate if the captive were killed.

A recent report of the Exoplanet Location Agency (ELA) has reported the detection of a new mysterious world orbiting a gas giant, that just got discovered by the agency's local space telescopes stationed over a local colonised planet a few AUs away. Even thoigh planets of this size should have no problem being detected by Interestellar telescopes, this one didnĀ“t. Moreover, it looks like the trajectory of the celestial body wildly swings each year, never following the same pattern twice.

You and your party have been recruited by ELA in the colonised planet mentioned above to land in the newplanet and try to get as many geological and astronomical samples as possible.

To be continued
>>
>>43889002

When you were entering orbit, a bunch of asteroids were detected heading towards your ship. You manage to succesfully outmaneuver them, but you can't help but to wonder why, in the vastness of space, all these asteroids happened to be on collision course with you.
>>
>>43889022
>>43889002
...is that it?
Why are you spacing this out in the first place, pun not intended?
>>
>>43889022
Your ship is now on stable orbit and you proceed to make a preliminary analysis of the planet before landing. The high density of oxygen and nitrogen in the atmosphere, suggesting earth-like life. You ship's camera also discovers massive water lakes, dense clouds and green lush jungle spreading everywhere. You excitedly send this promising data to the ELA, but the distance means that there will be a few hours of delay. After a topological analysis of the planetary surface, you decide to land on a peninsula that lies in one of the greatest lakes of the planet.

After you land, you are inmediatly greeted by the planet's wildlife. The existence of 6m-tall fire-breathing quadruped behemoths on this remote planet almost makes you forget that it just blew part of the fuel deposits. A brief but intense battle with the beast is fought amid the blasted rocket-fuel-scented remains of the forests.

that really doesn't answer why you're doing it when you could most likely have fit this all in one post so far. You do know that you're not running even close to the character limit, right?

The story I'm making is quite long, so I've decided to break it down into smaller posts so to not create an unreadable walltext. Also, it bumps the thread, so it might attract more writefags.

First, it'll still be a walltext. A lot of text all stuck together in one post is more readable than multiple posts of barely a paragraph each.

Second, you're bumping every few minutes, giving this thread the time to fall to page 2, maybe 3. /tg/ is not that fast. If anything you're just pushing the thread to bump limit faster.

Once the dust of the battle is settled, your team tries to fix the ship but to no avail. You'll have to wait for an ELA recue mission that may come up weeks or months in advance. Fortunately, you have supplies for a few weeks, and chemical analysis of the dead colossus indicates a carbon-based biochemistry, so you might as well live off the planetary wildlife.

The days pass, and as you explore the forest and fight off local fauna you finf out something strange. The reddish, rib-like structures spread underground forming 1m-wide mycelia that spread everywere, connecting the ribshroooms (the nickname your team gave to tha aforementioned structures) with eachother and with other trees. You analyse them and send the data to biologists from your home planet, as you don't have any in your team. After some days, a reply is given. While they can't exactly can't identify the type of cells the mycelium is amde of, the biologists have an hypothesis that they may serve to regulate the ecosystem through pheromone release to benefit the ribshroom. With each day, the wildlife attack's frequency and intensity increase. You lose some men and your ship is in an even worse state and you're running out of ammo. Your team writes daily reports to the ELA, begging for rescue from this green hell.

Finally, at the seventeenth day, an ELA rescue probe lands on the same spot as you, crewed with a commando team to fight off any hostile. The little men you have left hurriedly try to get to the probe, but they're surprised by an ambush of a magnitude never seen. Thus, the ELA commandos and your team wrestle in a final struggle to escape from the planet and reach safety.

The End

A distress call has been received. It comes from planet Ahura, currently being terraformed via experimental methods from one of the most brilliant science teams in known space. Your team makes planetfall into a lucious jungle, filled with vegetation and wildlife that while familiar, is nothing like anything you've seen, almost immitations of old mother Earth's chlora and fauna.

On your way towards the location of the labs, you find many mutilated animals possessing mechanical components onto various limbs. Some seem to enhance strangth, others agility and even gastric systems. A few steps further, a gigantic Tyranosaurus appears, wearing a vision and intelligence enhancing module on its head.

This bird is the last piece of a dead gods shattered soul. An insane wizard has been trying to find the shards and recreate the god once more. Once reborn and with a blank slate, it can be manipulated to one mans whim. This bird roams freely, unsuspecting in the world, and witnesses acts of heroism and good, but also tyranny and evil. In the wrong hands, the god could be reborn as armageddon. The only thing you and your party have to go on, is it was last scryed on a fringe village of the kingdom. A roving band of blood thirst mercenaries closes in. Will you get there and show the protective nature of man? Or will it witness the rape and pillage your species is capable of?

A little campy but sometimes your typical ADVENTURE is just what the group ordered.

A decaying hero has wished to last beyond the end of time, so that he may protect the world till there is nothing left. His comrade, foreseeing the an inevitable fall from grace, has asked of the party to prevent the olden hero from accomplishing the 'trial of ascendence'. The trial itself set up by gods of a world long dead. If the broken saviour is to succeed he will see for the world to gain everlasting peace, while the world will see its light fade, as the hero of old attempts to separate fiction from reality. Only to sever the border between. Now do hurry! For we too await open our eyes. To witness the reminder of our existence, test the fiery heart of mortals, one last time.

A recent earthquake has opened the path to an ancient ruin of immense arcane power, not far from the player's present location. They must now defending it from threats both external (Looters, Evil wizards, Evil Wizard looters) and Internal (Biff the understudy just opened a chest he REALLY shouldn't have, and is now a slavering beast with far more teeth, eyes, and limbs than you are comfortable with).

A meteor touched down in farmland near the castle your party is staying in and the lord orders you to investigate, when your merry band arrives you discover that the wildlife is acting strangely and are avoiding the general area around the crash site.
When you push further into the area around the crater you notice that the insects are swarming the point of impact, with a large number of rare and thought-extinct species being spotted, all of them heading in the same direction and moving in relative peace.

In the center of the crater you find a young girl who the group may or may not recognize from one of the local farms, except this time she's sprouted horns and has a glowing chunk of the meteorite floating above her head. It would seem she has some form of telepathic communication with the insects and that they've determined her to be their new leader.

It's up to the party to a) help the young girl cope with her new abilities and keep the thousands of new voices from driving her insane, b) find a way to remove her from the gem's influence and bring both the girl and the gem back to the castle, or c) kill the girl and take the gem, leaving it up to the party if they should take the gem back to the lord, or keep it for themselves.

The players find a pirate's pub in the corner of a bustling port-city or a sleepy island haven. The bar-tender is famous for his juice smoothies. Unfortunately he is out of a special kind of pineapple. The pineapple is special because it is in fact part animal. All the pirates are thirsty and want this drink bad (the bartender's famous for it, you know) so they pay the party to go and find some pineanimals. Following clues, the party discovers that there was a ship of 'em due to arrive a week ago, but it mysteriously disappeared. The party rents or otherwise obtains a boat (if they do not already have one) and sets sail across the sea to find this ship, encountering such horrors as Giant Olivepusses, meddling Mandarin Monkeys and islands that turn out to be peninsulas. When they eventually track down the ship, they find to their dismay that only the scuttled hull remains. All clues point towards the Dread Captain Depravosa and his barbary crew. When the players track his ship down, they discover something surprising; the crew originally decided to take the pineanimals so they could make the smoothie themselves, but realised that they were far too cute to kill. Unfortunately their newfound vegetarianism had not been accounted for in their quartermaster budgets, so they resorted to foul necromancy and dark sacrifice to survive (well, those that weren't sacrificed or turned into skellingtons, anyway). After slaying the foul Dread Captain Depravosa, the players must make a deadly moral dillemma; do they take the cute pineanimals back to be blended by the bartender that they now know to be a vile animal rights abuser, or do they turn him and set the cute buggers free once and for all?

The juice smoothie *is* famous world wide, after all.
