>"Can I borrow a couple of dice?"
>"No"

This constitutes a minor betrayal that demands rectification via proportional punishment right?
>>
>>43829286
That depends entirely on how any times you have failed to return their dice in the past.
>>
>>43829286
See that incomplete set? That's why. No way I'd let someone handle my dice after losing some from a set like that.
>>
>that picture
Every time I begin to wonder if autism is real, I can always turn to /tg/
>>
>This is a reminder that if you are hosting the gathering, the hallowed principles of hospitality compel you to lend dice. These principles cannot be suspended--even if the reciprocality is not expected.
>>
I've had people lose my dice before - entire boxes of d6 vanished into thin air. It's just one of the hazards of tossing around small objects as a hobby.
>>
>>43829461
Probably a Staff Sergeant.
Things not being dress right dress can cause those guys to suffer an acute myocardial infarction.
>>

>vanished into thin air

It is not the air they vanished into
>>
>>43829680
Not really related but the best punishment I ever saw in the military was someone being forced to mop the grass while it was raining.

I dont have a clue what they did.

Not Op, but you need to get your eyes checked son. Every single row is unique.
>>

I once saw a guy assigned to guard a side door into the barracks from COB to 2300 in full kit (0800 to 2300 on weekends, DONSAs, et cetera) for two weeks after he got caught trying to sneak a girl in through said door after all guests were supposed to be gone.
>>
>>43830231
I can't really tell the difference between the third and fourth row from the right - the two kinda-transparent white ones.

It's probably easier to see any differences in person, though.
>>
>>43829949
I once saw a guy carrying a potted plant around with him.

Reason?

"To replace the air I waste when I speak"
>>
>>43829983
I want a set of Gamescience dice, but I really can't stand plain opaque dice, and they don't seem to have many gem/translucent options. What do?
>>
>>43830557
id say you have to compromise, or stay hunting online for a translucent set.

I liked these because I got to haphazardly color them myself, and being opaque makes me feel like im playing some sort of old school hobby

I think your best bet is looking at it from a different angle and finding an opaque color set you like.. you can pick the inking color if you want them preinked, and thats nice
>>
>>43829286
Yes.
And the proportional punishment is being a bit annoyed with the other person.

How expensive are those dice?
And if you spend your entire rent do you brought a golden die or live in a shithole?
>>
I once borrowed someone elses dice, we both felt dirty and agreed to never do it again. The next time I forgot my dice I bought a new set.

Borrowing dice is just something you don't do else you threaten to steal their luck.
>>
>>43829286
Return my marbled green d12 and d20 first. I'm the last guy in the group who trusted you and I have come to regret it like the others. And NOW you're being a cunt about it, like I owed you something.
Why'd we invite the millennial again?

You think so, because you've been lied to. Ya been hoodwinked. Flim-flammed. BamBOOzled!

tl;dr: They're shit.

I'm never going to say no, but people taking my dice and not returning them pisses me off.

>>
>>43833086
I wonder if there are any air bubbles in them.

We need personal, highly accurate CNC machines to machine our dice.
>>
>>43829949
dude i would have loved that
i'd buy get a super soaker, or some kind of large squirting apparatus and fill it with soap, hijack one of those floor polishers, (if its ride-able even better) then drive it across the grass in the rain while squirting soap in front of me.
cause thousands in damages for the grass and possibly destroy the polisher in the process. laughing my ass off the entire time.
>>
>>43829286
You also mad he didn't loan you his girlfriend? Maybe he just didn't want your orange cheese puff fingers all over his stuff?
>>
Whenever I host I always have a big ass bin of shitty dice on the table. I bought 3 pounds a few years ago. I keep the nice sets in separate little containers, but those are for me to use.
>>
>>43829471
This. Though any experienced player should carry loaner dice to lend to other people.

I want to smack a bitch when somebody just reaches over and rolls my dice though.
>>
>>43833086
Is that old Gamescience or new?

I understand Zocchi recently bought the company back and rejiggered production to have better quality control

he didn't spend his rent. He rented a die from the die bucket.

I got so annoyed at my fellow players for constantly borrowing my dice that I made them a dice bag each with enough dice to play the systems we play.

The fuckers aren't touching my dice ever again.

no
>>
This thread makes me so grateful that my players are all filthy casuals who couldn't give two shits about dice autism.
>>
>>43829286
You don't. Ever. Touch another persons. Dice.
>>
My GM has that same playmat and I do the same thing, except I only have two matching sets so I put the percentiles next to the d10s.

>>
Here's an unpopular truth: The difference in "accuracy" between things like gamescience dice and normal shitty dice you find in any FLGS is completely negligible.
>>
>>43829286
Technically no, being angry over someone not doing something you want is stupid.

Asking for a favor is ok.
Expecting the favor as it was a right is not.

Unless there was a previous agreement over the use of the dice, of course.
>>
>>43838426
>dices
Fine, I don't play with filthy Skaven anyways.
>>
>>43829286

how can you borrow dice from someone? our group has only one set that we use when we play, dices are no one's bitch.
>>
My group has a rule that if you're going to borrow dice of any sort, you're GOING to keep them. Then again, each person in the group also owns a bag of dice that weighs around 10 pounds.
>>
>>43838671

I just have a "guest" dice bucket full of ok dice. if they don't return my dice they don't get invited back. best part is others in the group use the same set up and rules. Haven't "lost" a die in years.

Thats just gonna get you killed by squadmates AND the instructor. Punishment thats not being taken seriously usually leads to squad punishment which means you're gonna get lynched for making others suffer your fuck ups. That aside i've seen idiots willingly and knowingly do worse knowing what kind of shit they're gonna be in just to end the boredom. Its like fun suicide.
>>
>>43838671
Call it autism but, I buy dice and roll them 100 times each to get an average, they then go into 3 piles, below the bell curve, within the bell curve, and above the bell curve. For heroclix I use dice within the bell curve, for d&d or palladium I use the dice above and below the bell curve.

i own a shit ton of dice
>pic related, and not all dice are there...

and i do not loan dice.
socialism and dice are nada, because of reasons posted in all the glorious ubermensch posts listed above.

those Anons are fine examples of Anonymoushood and should be given a beer and a wench!

this is why RPG group are ass: you always get 0-2 whiny sniveling freeloaders cunt fucktartds who fuck up your precious game tools

oh, and shit-anons who stole / chetto'd the dice: CLEAN AND RETURN!!!!

thank you.
>>

>>
>>43839270
Your need to do more than 100 trials each to get a good idea of their bias.
Also, they'd not fall into a bell curve, it would be a uniform distribution.
>>
>>43839270
Okay, it's autism. Your sample size is miniscule and you're intentionally trying to fudge dice rolls with what you think are imbalanced dice.

Just roll your fucking dice, man.
