When will they release Italian States ground forces?
>>43822228
You got a problem with freedom?
>>43822228
...that seems like something DW France WOULD do to be honest.
>We have decided to build you a statue et libertay!
>Well, that's really good of you France... is that thing FLYING?
>Oui? Of course she is hovering! 'Ow do you have your grande statues in America? On le terre? How pedestrianne!
>>43822228
For those times you gotta bring liberty to a motherfucker right? I can dig it

>Italy
>Ground forces
I know DW is alt-history, but steady on, there are limits.
How are the other spartan products? Im interested in the Firestorm: Armada line and 90 quid seems OK for a 2 player starter kit. Does it hold up to other table top games? Same with DW, looks neat but is it popular and more importantly, fun?
>>43822228
French or US?
>>43822585
France, since in this universe them and the US are enemies. So no statue of liberty for Americans
Please no

Those flying robots are godawful. The ground ones are cool
Better than the flying man robots. At least the legs appear to be decorative.

I own this model and I love it
God, this game is sliding down the slippery slope into completely fucking absurd, and I love it.

>Dystopian Wars
Fucking Absurd. It's a good laugh as long as you don't mind keeping track of tokens, because there are fucking hundreds. Mines, HP damage, loss of marines, critical effects, fires, height level... But if that doesn't bother you, it's a really good game.
>Firestorm Armada
Haven't played, but have a fleet on the way. Very similar to DW. What I've got so far is the following: Less focus on prizing ships than DW, boarding can still be pretty strong. Longer range combat in general. Jump drives mean you can potentially drop reserves into the middle of the battlefield, and damaged/prized ships can warp out. Tiny starfighters have to stay close to their carrier and move with it, while the DW equivalent fighter planes can buzz all over the board and are independent from carriers. Seems to be regarded as the better ruleset.
Popularity for either varies wildly based on your local community. Look into which one is played in your area- around here, it's mainly DW, but in other places it's all Firestorm.

I don't like the rules for the new robots (bigger is better, almost unstoppable monsters), but a couple of the models are fucking awesome in their stupidity. >>43822228 and the Britannian Windsor are best. I don't know if I love or hate them yet.
>>43822228
They did it. They went full retard. Even fuller than with the chinese RealDragon.
>>43823158
Cool. Thanks man. Was looking in getting into a new wargame now that GW is shitting the bed. Anyone around the Annapolis, MD region? Would love to find a good haunt since I've just moved to the area.
>>43822304
That's actually a french unit. Designed to fight US models.
>>43823325
Nah, that would be pic related. >>43822228 has some redeeming qualities.

Firestorm armada is perhaps the best product Spartan has. Basic background, but they managed to keep the derp permeating the DW line at bay. Balanced forces..aside from aquans and directorate, both easymodo as fuck. The rules give you enough tactical variety to not be boring. Fighters and bombers are some of the best way i've seen to handle small craft in a naval game- devastating, but short-ranged and easy to counter by just blowing the carriers up or using your own screen of fighters.
