No, Slaanesh would counter that fairly easily. Also. Have you seen GW lawyers? they sue for pitiful reasons.

Disney's a lot easier on the fan base, but with the amount of financial thump the mouse has... they'd do bad, bad things to a business.

>>

>>
>>43821349
GW also does their best to pick on companies/people who lack the money to have an extended legal battle. This lets them sue without having to worry about how solid their grounds to do so are because people like that will just capitulate rather than go bankrupt paying legal fees.

Disney is uh, not one of these types. They would crush GW like a bug.
>>
>>43821262

I would imagine it has something to do with anything walking on more than two limbs being heretical

Shhhhh no, shutup. You disagreeing with me makes you a filthy heretic. Off you go.
>>
>>43821372
I would use updated WW1 tank chassis in WW1, and updated WW2 Tank Chassis in WW2.

Walkers aren't a thing because they just aren't as easy to build as a tank. They lack the speed of an aircraft, they dont have the low profile of a tank, nor the armor protection. They're more complex, and probably require more parts and specialist skills. They'd be like German Tiger and Panther tanks in WW2: breaking down constantly, difficult to get to the parts you need to repair, and fuel guzzlers.
>>
>>43821262
Because tracked vehicles can do the same job 99% of the time and are easier to build and maintain.

True, but you could argue that those don't belong to the guard, but the Collegia Titanica instead. The largest walkers the IG have is, as far as we know, the Sentinel.
That being said, who needs walkers when you have a gorillion tank variants of all shapes, functions and sizes? For everything that exists there is probably a dedicated Leman Russ pattern to kill it.

Sentinels are basically AT-STs.

No wait. It's in the Skitarii timeline.

>748.M41
>Rain of Fire
>After the battle of Macragge, a splinter fleet of Hive Fleet Behemoth winds its way into the Skitarii-held Daugel Helix. Using the knowledge recovered from the Tyran data-codex, the Skitarii fight back. The Cohort commander Alpha 9-Thyrre turns the tide by saturating a stratum of the atmosphere with the gas from the planet's promethium refineries. After his Onager's neutron lasers sets the spies aflame, each new rain of Tyranid spores incinierates those xenos planetside instead of reinforcing them. A thriumphalist data-codex is compiled and sent to the nearby forgeworld of Accatran, where it is swiftly filed away in the Archive Anomalis and forgotten.

>your appeals to logic

Tanks do have their weaknesses, and there are some (albeit extremely specific) scenarios where a walker-type vehicle does have an advantage over a treaded one.

Sentinels are a pretty valid adaptation of a walker unit in the 40K setting, as they excel at fast recon in high-density terrain and in urban combat, both places where treaded tanks do a historically poor job. They have their niche.
>>
>>43821262
>Better

Dude the AT-TE is fucking horrible. It has a cockpit with a flimsy clear-metal shielding that can get one-shotted by a missile. Its gun are weaker than the plasma cannons you can mount on a Leman Russ too.

The only well designed walker in Star Wars is the AT-ST and its variants, and that's because it's a scout.

All Blaster weapons (which include Turbolasers, despite their name) use ionized Tibanna gas, which is plasma. Laser weapons are described as extremely weak in Star Wars (barring the Death Star, but that's because an entire fucking moons worth of power is behind it).

That said,

>>43825079
This is correct. AT-TE's weren't exactly horrible, but they did have some glaring weaknesses compared to the AT-AT (which, remember, is just a troop transport). While their guns were omnidirectional, the body itself was much weaker overall, and it was designed to be a jack-of-all-trades type of vehicle, versus the later AT-AT's full-frontal assault vehicle.
>>

So was H.P. Lovecraft, and he went over and married one. Disney hated Jews personally, but he was a businessman way before he was an antisemite. You cannot avoid dealing with Jews in the entertainment business, and Disney did. A lot. To this day, some of the most prominent figures in the company, management AND creative/production, are Jews.

That said, they still have one of the best legal departments in the world. To think that GW would even be a challenge to them is the kind of pathetic blabbering you'd expect to hear from a neckbeard so greasy he literally isn't aware of the fact that there exists a world outside his hobby, so he thinks of GW as some kind of big economic force just because within the tiny pond that is his world, they look it.

By the standards of large business companies, GW is a fucking smudge on the map. They don't hold a candle to the conglomerates that all but run modern society. In a legal battle, Disney would crush them so hard it'd be a miracle if Tom Kirby doesn't end up cleaning toilets in Orlando for the rest of his life when the trial is over (that is, two minutes after it starts).

>>
>>43829769

Have you even read them? The vast majority of their claims were found to be fair use. The entire point of them going into the lawsuit was to get Chapterhouse on their use of GW's intellectual IP and only stopped them from producing a few things. Hell, they were so fucking retarded in the way they approached it that they were essentially unable to prove their copyright claims for various things, and tried to bring a completely unrelated company (Paulson Games)'s models into the lawsuit despite having no connection with their claims.

Their damages were waived and their appeals were dismissed with prejudice. If you're honestly under the impression that GW came out of this without getting shit on, your a moron. The only reason Chapterhouse went out of business was because of the cost of legal fees to fight the legal battle. But the lawsuit has left a positive precedence for 3rd party bits producers and is why you never hear about GW sending C&D's willy nilly anymore.

Educate yourself before shitposting, anon.
