Seeing as I'm a Dutchmen myself I've got a Netherlandish nation in my setting. A mercantile republic with a few great trading cities / ports, the rest of the land is covered in swamps, rivers and forest. They got trading outposts in faraway lands, aren't too fond of war and are skilled sailors. Also cheese, windmills, Dutch folk costumes, klompen, rampant use of narcotics & alcohol, lots of brothels.
