Not a single civ game running today, what's wrong with teegee?

You know the rules: first to three is race, first to three is location

Is there a pastebin for the rules to this?

>Not a single civ game running today, what's wrong with teegee?
Civ games seem to have faded out because of CM exhaustion and general trolling.

>>43807852
Seconding this in hope to get the game started faster!

Rolled 38, 44, 40, 19, 30 = 171 (5d45)

Don't mind the rolls, they're deciding our neighbours

>>43807888
Not really, which is one of the many charms of civ games. It'll basically explain itself whilst you play

Insects in the forest

Or lizardfolk in the jungle

I'm thinking start with a bee base if we do insects
>>
>>43808168
op maybe you could namefag up please?
>>
Insects forest locked in!
First, let's pick our base:
A: Bees and/or bumblebees
B: Ants and/or wasps
C: Butterfly and/or moth
D: Centipede and/or millipede
E: Other (specify)
>>
>>43808254
Wasp

How insane can our evolutions get, and do we have to consume something with that adaptation before we can evolve it?
>>
>>43808254
>>43808287
Seconding Wasp! I suppose that counts as the major mutation.

What size are we? Human sized or pixie sized?
>>
>>43808254

Moth people
>>
>>43808254
D because how badass are centipedes
>>
>>43808287
First evolution(s) will be free, other mutations will require consumption by the queen (current insects will not mutate, new young will)

Mutations will be pretty mundane at first. Larger wings, larger size etc, but eventually with stronger prey come stronger mutations, such as telepathy and the likes.

The base size is that of a large cat, size can increase.

After the species has locked in I will publish a list with possible starting mutations.

Votes:
Wasp: 2
Moth: 1
Centipedes: 1
>>
>>43808383

See, cat-sized moths are qt as fuck. Cat-sized wasps are fucking nightmare realm.

Centipede up in this bitch

Centipede
>>
Centipede is locked, hope you're not samefagging
Pick your starting mutation(s):

A) Pick one:
A1): Human-like size
A2): Incredible venom (instantly kills anything up to dog size, paralyzes anything between dog and human)
A3): Telepathy between your insects
A4): Incredible speed
A5): Chameleon-like camouflage

or
B) Pick two:
B1): Increased size (labrador-like dog size)
B2): Paralyzing venom (Paralyzes things up to human size)
B3): Basic pheromone based communication
B4): Increased speed
B5): Basic camouflage
>>
>>43808583
Telepathy will be infinitely useful I think
>>
>>43808583
I vote B2,B4 speed and venom

If there's no replies in five minutes, This die roll will decide which of the two mentioned mutations we pick.

1 is A3, 2 is B2+B4

Turn One:
>After being banished from her original colony for being, your queen has settled in this forest you now call home. She has dug a small tunnel, where she now lays her eggs. Her first hatchlings have just matured. They are faster and more venomous than those of her former colony, and will make for fine hunters.
Population: 1 Queen, 5 First Generation drones, 5 First Generation eggs
Food: 3 (Enough to last X amount of turns)
Construction: Small tunnel, Queen's room

DNA: None. (DNA is needed to pay for new mutations)
Mutations:
Larger size: [3] (DNA cost)
Blueprints: http://pastebin.com/5FSKvcQF
Tech: None yet
Magic: None yet (Can not be research without help from non-insects)

What will you do? (1 action per turn, roll a d20 for success)
A) Hunt for food, DNA and mutations
B) Scout the area (specify direction)
C) Construct/dig buildings
D) Discover tech
E) Other (Specify)

OP, I have a request/suggestion for combat mechanic. If you know the Daikon DBZ quest, that OP uses 1d100 RNG best of 3 with an announced bar for success, like so:

>Have your drones charge the enemy line (75)
>Have your drones break into two groups and flank the enemy (50)
>Have half your drones borrow underground and burst under the enemy while the rest charge (30)

And rolling further away from the bar gives even better results. Likewise losing units, or the enemy responding to the same tactic, would lower the chances, while hitting the enemy harder and harder would lower the bar further. Speed mutations would help with flee/charge attacks, borrow mutations and camo would help with ambush options, etc.

Thought it was pretty engaging and fun.

Turn two:
>The queen sends her drones out, ordering them to gather prey to feed her. Your drones head out, and try to gather as much prey as they can (18). It's a lovely day for hunting, and prey is plentiful in your new habitat. Your drones catch a whole array of species, but the most noticable ones are several rat-sized spiders. These spiders don't use webs to catch their prey, but rather use their incredibly sharp mandibles, made for tearing apart chitin. A few bunnies are cought too.
Food gathered: 4
DNA gathered: 4
Mutations gained:
Sharp, ragged mandibles [3]
Increased speed [2]

Population: 1 Queen, 10 First Generation drones, 5 First Generation eggs
Food: 7 (Enough to last X amount of turns)
Construction: Small tunnel, Queen's room

DNA: 4
Mutations:
Larger size [3] (DNA cost)
Sharp, ragged mandibles [3]
Increased speed [2]

[MINI-QUEST]
>Most of the drones get sent to the north, with the objective to explore their territory. Most of the area is still heavily forested, with small creeks and ponds littering the surface. Not soon after you've departed, you find tracks. Big tracks. They seem to be human, but an entire drone could fit in them easily. After continuing your journey northward, the amount of tracks seem to increase, and eventually you find a small settlement, with a wooden pallisade surrounding it.

[MINI-QUEST]
Some of your drones crawl over the palisade. Behind the palisade lies a tiny village, with no more that 15 inhabitants. The inhabitants however, are giants. They seem to be keeping tame deer in small pens and have a few acres of tilled soil, filled with a variety of plants.

Your drones do not remain unspotted however. One of the giant children sees a drone on top of the palisade. Instead of being curious or aggressive, as you might expect, she starts crying and screaming as hard as she can. Soon, an old looking giant with the skull of a large, tusked creature over its head and an odd staff that seems to be imbued with some kind of primal magic, speeds towards the child. He follows the child's pointing finger, and spots your drone. He screams something very loudly, and the panic can be seen on his face. A bright flash shoots out of his staff, and your drone crumbles to cinders

Yes, you are not able to use magic on your own, but, let's say the giants, make you some magical artifacts or inscribe your exoskeletons etc, you might be able to utilize the enchantments and/or artifacts

A simple underground hive (Queen room, egg room, tunnels and drone rooms) would take 4 turns to complete. This will be faded to black and only affects the food and amount of drones in the colony. Still okay?
