Age of Sigmar fucked a lot of things up, but one thing I'll say for it is that an AoS RPG would probably be more focused on playing a hero or lord tier char instead of a criminally incompetent camp follower or dung shoveller.

For 40k, Traveller might work (especially for rogue trader, obviously). You'd need to find some other way to do character generation, as I don't think the career term system works very well for 40k, but other than that you have pretty much everything you need.

Well OP, what is wrong with the systems that you don't like? And what aspects of the game would you like to focus on in play?
I mean, you could make another WFRP game with a high-lethality system, or you could play a hero with a high fantasy system.
