If This Goes On uses Vibroblades, knife-like weapons primarily utilizing vibrations as a means for faster and more discreet kills as the organ trauma is said to be multiplied several times over that of a traditional weapon.
The main character in Vorkosigan saga carries his pet impulse blade wherever he goes, the effects are described as far more savage and more alike in purpose to the FF vibroblades.
Honorverse is similar to Vorkosigan, but to be honest it's been so long and I found the series tedious enough that I've got trouble remembering details.

There's actually an interesting question here. Do they? Because most Lightsaber forms seem to have quite a bit of force (hue) behind them, and going up against another user can easily mean you're toast if your strength isn't high enough to deadlock the obligatory shoving match.
TL;DR: I'd say there is at least SOME amount of resistance since Lightsaber blades are light but not immaterial.

Seriously, how do you use a Gunblade, anyway? Squall usually holds it like a longsword, but that hilt must make gripping awkward. More, Seifer holds his one like a pistol! It would make sense if you stabbed people with it, but this is apparently a slashing weapon.
