What book is this in?
>>43648933
It's from the 4e Draconomicon, the one with Metallic dragons.
Probably why it doesn't get as much attention as other types.

So it's snakes made of acid or acid in the shape of snakes?
>>43649438
It's a cloud of acid that condenses into a magically animate snake made of acid.

How is Humanity a monster?
>>43650274
>>43648554
What level is humanity? Is it worth a lot of XP?
>>43650274
>>43650291
Humanity starts at a value of 200 souls.
Luckily, they come in hordes.
>>43648554
damn...
>>43650394
>Humanity starts at a value of 200 souls.
What's worth a single soul?
>>43650411
a tenth of the most cheap and basic arrow
200 souls is the cost of a pile of dung
>>43650411
3 souls gets you 1 shit-tier arrow which is 5 copper pieces.
Wait, why am I calculating and converting Dark Souls currency to D&D/Pathfinder values?
...Do we have any homebrews for a Lordran campaign? Suddenly my Fighter would be exceptionally fun to play if he was actually the Chosen Undead.

I've never understood why beasts like to use trees as weapons. Is it something they've evolved to do?
>>43651267
You insane mother fucker
>>43651297
When you are this big what else can you grab?
>>43651297
Actually, apparently they just tear up trees and rip them apart. It's like a territory marking thing.
>>43650783
damn so my soul is worth less than a shitty arrow?

>>43651313
That's true.
>>43651321
I see. That makes a lot of sense. Maybe, huge animals just tear up cities to mark territory. It makes too much sense that it hurts.

I am so pleased that the first post /threaded the thread.
Because yeah, in all honesty, I appreciate casts of all humans. There's plenty of alienness to be had in different races of man with assorted cultures amongst them.

Well considering the math that I implied back on >>43650808 this idea means that it takes 3 souls for a regular ass Wooden Arrow.
So let's break this down. Dark Souls is about 8 fold over what we would expect to see at level 1 in most of our tabletops. I say this based off of damage scaling where a short bow or longbow is normally 31 damage or 36 damage, then the arrows scale too. Divide the whole lot and add the sums, round down and we get damage based off of a d6.
By extension if I can prove this with damage scaling to work off of a d6, I should be able to account for currency exchange.
If a wooden arrow, the most basic of basic, costs 3 souls, then we look at the costs from Pathfinder in this case. 1 gold for a bundle of 20 arrows, crunching the numbers, is 5 copper per arrow, getting me the result that each one of us is basically worth less that a d6 roll.
tl;dr It is easier to make money in Lordran since you murderhobo infinite enemies through Undead Burg and farm demon babies for humanity in the room before you fight Gravelord Nito.

I've seen those monsters before: didn't they just gather up all the civilians into a bag and then shove a blender into it to make human puree? That's the .gif i've seen at least. The plot summary reads like one of those Surprise! rug-pull anime series where the tone shifts radically from the first episode to the finale.
>>43654757
That's the one. I don't know if I'd say it's a surprise tone shift in the final episode though, since the number of horrible deaths steadily increases every episode after the first few. The retarded plot reveal comes in the last two episodes though, for sure.
