You know, thinking about it now, I don't think Jewish folklore has any stories about classical heroic characters after the biblical period. Like, they had all those warrior heroes and kings and such back in the day (though weirdly the bible has very little if any monsters, which are normally a staple of mythology), but later Jewish folklore all the way up to the 18th century is just penniless tinkers, merchants and scholars running into horrific demons in the woods and barely managing to use their wits to escape with their lives and the clothes on their backs.

Holy shit, Jewish folklore is pessimistic. No wonder they don't go adventuring.

But those boots look worn down. I could sell you a new pair, friend. Or how about some buttons? A new buckle for that belt?
>>
>>43590683
That's what you get. Most people only remember the rich Jews of Western and Southern Europe (who have become practically assimilated entirely into the local culture and thus have no folklore of their own after the bible) and forget that in Eastern Europe where most of it was invented Jews were poor fucks who barely sustained themselves fishing in the shittiest of rivers and mining coal in the remote-fuckest, coldest regions of Ruritania in the hopes cossacks wouldn't get to them and rape everyone. You'd be pessimistic too.

>>
>>43592629
She had a nun's gown before she set off on the adventure but that dickass thief sold most of the cloth off to perverted dwarfs. She's been making do ever since.

Also I think if you want to get technical what the Sorceress' got is macromastia, not gigantomastia. Boobs are big, but she doesn't look like there's more than 2.5 kilograms of hypertrophied tissue, which is the condition for gigantomastia. We also don't know if she was ever pregnant, which is relevant to almost all of the cases.
>>
>>43592698
Yeah, but the breasts nearly always return to their previous size once lactation has ceased. Besides, a gown might cover, but it doesn't support.

Can't she cast a couple of lightening spells on them or something?
>>
>>43592748
I'm referring to gigantomastia, not the swelling which accompanies pregnancy. It results from a hormonal imbalance in certain women which causes the breasts to grow extremely abnormally - actually grow, with a large amount of tissue being created, not just swell with milk - eventually resulting in hypertrophy which in extreme cases might lead to some really gruesome injuries. Some women just get that during puberty or some other hormonal crisis, but that normally results in the milder form called macromastia (less than 2.5 kg of hypertrophied tissue).
>>
>>43592783
Ah, right. So, is that what she has, or is it just artistic bias as usual?
>>
>>43589991
In the north you get
>Beef Brisket in honey sauce

>Pasta Soup
>Bacon on Rye
>Salted Peanuts
>More wine than you can shake a lance at
>>
>>43592808
She doesn't have macromastia, it's a joke. It's a part of the game's art style. It made it the target of numerous feminist organizations and generally of people who take offense to that kind of blatant sexualization literally years before coming out, but they went along with it anyway (in their defense, their male characters look just as deformed, so it could be argued to really be just a matter of "art style" rather than a particular fixation on breasts, although that sounds a bit weak). The artist himself said that he specifically wanted to emphasize the Sorceress' breasts in order to give her a figure "recalling a fertility idols" and connect her with the idea of "raw pagan femininity" or something like that, because she's a witch and so on.

Let's not lie to ourselves here, the guy was just horny.

>>

>Vegetables for the spiritual classes.

Druids and many clerics and paladins often have rules requiring them to eat certain meats, or not eat certain meats - a horrible feature of the D&D paladin is that they are legitimately in danger of falling if they aren't super careful about what they eats.

At the same time the necromancer's player would argue that the consumption of dead animal flesh is always evil and aids the death gods/principle.

That is neither the definition of peer pressure nor stockholm syndrome. I've been drinking beer for years because I actually like the taste of beer, it IS an acquired taste and you only realize it after you've become acclimated to it.

If you took this attitude seriously you would never be able to penetrate meaningfully into any form of cuisine or drink. Being able to identify flavors in beer is no different than being able to look through how much sugar or salt your food has in it to address complex flavors. It's like complaining that your steak doesn't have enough ketchup on it and then, when someone tells you that you probably shouldn't put ketchup on your sirloin steak, you accuse him of trying to reduce your enjoyment of it.

The idea that you don't have to put any effort into developing your sense of taste, and that doing so is somehow a sign of weakness of character, THAT is what this generation will be remembered for. Holding effort and dedication in contempt because you actually believe that laziness and pedantry are morally superior.

>ordering
You'll have the stew that's been on the fire all week and stop acting like you're lords, assholes
>>
>>43597731
Still, in this case it's in relation to folklore where the gender literally defines what name of creature it is - if it's female, it succubus, if male - incubus. Sexual preferences, or behavior befitting traditional or nontraditional gender stereotypes are unimportant in this case.
>>
>>43597887
folklore changes, it isn't set in stone

get over it
>>
>>43597887
Except in folklore, succubus and incubus are one and the same demon.
>>
>>43597887
At the same time, succubus means "to lie under" and incubus "to lie upon" and our brown little slut isn't exactly the top in this relationship.

Also, applying rigid definitions to folklore is autismal hypercorrection. It's like getting mad when you see a clock with IIII instead of IV, historically no one would have given one iota of shit.
>>
>>43597919
If it does, it does organically and often - it actually doesn't. Different cultures may adapt folklore but usually it's the original take on things that's seriously considered. That's why you have fairies in pop culture, but actual fae of folklore are not considered happy, giggly, tiny people with butterfly wings even nowadays.

>>43597932
Don't know if the same demon, but at least the same type - still whether it's incubus or succubus depends directly on their gender.
>>
>>43597887
Actually no. The fiend's identity is defined by the choice of their victims. Succubi prey on men. But they're not bound to one shape, instead they will take whatever form is best suited for the job - mature woman, little girl or even a boy.

The issue is that it tastes like shit to begin with and only tastes good after you get super used to it. It's like black coffee. To most people, beer and black coffee are basically shit in their cup, even if it's literally the best example of either beverage.

Sirloin steak is good even without any adjustment period, even if your appreciation grows over time.

A shitty sirloin steak is also generally edible, whereas a shitty beer is basically piss. Or you know, one of those beers with lots of hops that basically requires you to be super used to beer if you want to get it down.

Heineken is undrinkable but you take another step down into Bud Light and now it's completely flavourless and therefore tolerable.

>>
>>43604155
In Metal Gear everyone gets a convoluted back story. I personally find Quiet amusing because Kojima acted so smug about her, like he came up with something truly clever.

So is Kojima That Gm and Quiet his DMPC/Magical Realm insert?
