Which army do you play the most?

Zvezda's Tiger is here...
>weekly check of Forces
>go to German listings
>see vehicles that are only available in MW
Can't wait to see how little they've changed.
Any news on Digital lists bundles?
>assault the houses, they said
>no guts no glory, they said
>>43460800
it's....beautiful....
>>43461138
as in, waiting for Mid War?
i can't wait to see how much they invalidated the precious hardbacks....
hey, guys...

they have a vid...
>>43461548
Good lord, what was in those houses?
>>43461548
What idiot told you that?
>>43463149
>Good lord, what was in those houses?
My guess... A lot of anti-tank rockets. Or way too many Fearless Veteran infantry. Or both.
>>43463612
The could have bogged down and just died because of failed morale checks. Assaulting in buildings usually requires skill tests for every round and if those T34s are conscript then they are screwed.
>>43463149
>>43463612Romanians
>>43463693
They were trained, and the guy forgot his wide tracks so lost like 7 of them on the first round. Also the LL M3 Lees did a number on him.
By the end of that match he'd run out of wreck markers for his 31 tank battalion.
In Team Yankee News it appears that BF has changed the contents of the starter boxes.
There some sort of production hang up means that the BMP's and M113 variants originally listed in the box sets will not be in them. So the box sets will only come with the tanks, helicopters and the other misc stuff. The list price will be lower as a result of this.
<< Note the changed box image.
Delivery came in to LGS so I've picked up an Audie Murphy to paint. It's a nice display piece
>>43464984
mfw I hate the m113 but love the Abrams and cobra
Is there a date for the Team Yankee release? Can't wait to build some based mid 80s Soviets.
>>43466451
Late November/Early December is what I've seen floating around the net, but no official announcement yet.
>>43466451
>>43466887
I believe Breakthrough Assault mentioned Nov 27/28.
>>43464984
Interesting, but probably the correct choice.
Product delays are always nasty, but this way we at least get some of our toys on time.
In the Early War, the French get Renault UE Supply Carriers. They are bought with the HQ unit, and attached out to platoons. They are listed as transports, but don't have anybody they're supposed to carry.
My question, if any of you know, is this: Can Renaults be sent to the rear and retrieved (other than by using it)? Also, can Renaults transport teams like a normal transport team?
>>43470935
Pretty sure they follow the same rules as PSVs in this regard where they may be sent to the rear if you wish and where they cannot transport anyone.
>>43464984
weird...i am now more likely to buy the Americans...
since BMP / Hind rush was my soviet fetish...
sad-face...
anyone know why not more historical companies make 1/100 scale shit?
how come zvezda only makes 1/100 vehicles? seems like free money to make stuff fow players would eat up
>>43475818
You might have more luck searching for 15mm scale instead of 1/100.
It's the same size, but more miniatures companies seem to refer to it as 15mm.
And pretty much every company that makes 15mm miniatures has 15mm WWII.
>>43475390
The BMPs are coming. Just not at the same time as the T-72s and Hinds.
Besides, you can find other BMPs. Cold War minis in 15mm are easy to find from other companies.
>>43475818
know your scales.
15mm = 1/100
6mm = 1/285
28mm = 1/56
32mm = 1/48
etc.
>>43464984
Damn, I so wanted to get my hands on those niiiice BMP-2s....
Any infos on the new prices?
>go to flgs
>flames of war is 40% off.
>still have everything I want for my krauts and slavs
>and a shit ton of terrain
>joke that once I get my first paycheck I'm gonna buy $300 worth of stuff
>flgs owner says he'll give me a bigger discount
>mfw it won't be enough to sate the addiction
Goddammit I don't even know where to start, they have fucking EVERYTHINF
>>43478616
40% discount probably means they want to liquidate the inventory because it's not selling and you won't have any opponents to fight with your new figures. ;_;
BF confirms the 27th November as launch date for Team Yankee.
Prices for the starter boxes are 50GBP/65€/90 Dollars for the US box and 75GBP/90€/120 Dollars for the USSR box.
http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=5030
>>43478978
First impression of the starter boxes: No rulebook, not that many minis, no APCs and quite a salty price (atleast for the EU). That´s kinda dampening my anticipation...
>>43477288
Except, of course, when the 6mm figures are 1:300 or when the 28mm models are "heroic" (as most are) and are closer in size to 1:48 vehicles and so on.
>>43479296
>(as most are)
If you play scifi/fantasy stuff exclusively, maybe.
The historicals keep themselves pretty tightly to the actual scale.
Since this is the main WWII Wargaming place, and Bolt Action is allowed here, I want to ask about Rubicon Miniatures. They make 28mm Hard Plastic vehicles, and I wanted to ask how they compare to the normal Warlord Games ones.
>>43463612
Knowing the Germans, they probably ran into a wall of Panzerfausts.
>>43464391
I laughed.
Also, does anybody know any good late-war Italian lists? I have the Fortress Italy books and their infantry looks decent, but how about armor?
>>43480091
They have no LW Armour lists - everything they have in LW is in Fortress Italy.
The Gruppo Esplorante is damn strong, though.
>>43479687
I'm talking about Warlord Games' Bolt Action here, FWIW.
>>43480091
That's not a joke. The houses were full of Romanians, and the tanks bogged to shit and got captured.
>>43479941
You may want to ask in the Historical Wargaming General too, but just briefly I would say that Rubicon's plastic kits are easily superior to WG's. You get a bunch of neat options and they're easy to build in such a way that you can swap between them. For example, I've got a T-34/85 kit which has hull MG or hull flamethrower and 85mm turret or 76mm turret that gives me four different tank options out the one box.
>I can't describe the vibe I get
>when I drive into a field
>and five I bog
>>43480590
Can describe the feel I get when I ram 3 BT-42s into a building, thus allowing them to provide defensive fire, and thus route the filthy americans.
The feel is awesome.
Some more rules clarifications wrt Team Yankee. I think this gives us all the stats and rules for full army lists?
>>43480173
>no LW Armour lists
>everything they have in LW is in Fortress Italy
Well that's unfortunate.
>The Gruppo Esplorante is damn strong, though.
Yeah, looking through it now I can see that they have a lot at their disposal, including Panzerfaust SMG teams, Semovente 75s, PaK 40s and 43s, and German howitzers.

>>43481859
Cheeky cunt.
>>43466021
You hate the m113, but do you love the Bradley? This is the important question.
>>43483903
I think its more that I prefer the BMP, that and it reminds me of a SM rhino so I think it looks a bit silly
>>43484908
Other way around.
The Rhino in 40K is pretty much exactly just a M113 IN SPAAAACE!
Same thing with the BMP and the Chimera.
>>43485146
>The Rhino in 40K is pretty much exactly just a M113 IN SPAAAACE!
Except of course it also has the Cullen hedgerow cutter present in IRL Rhino tanks.
Happy bonfire night, /fowg/!
Seeing the display has given me the motivation to finally finish of my Panzerwerfers.
>>43487041
Isn't that only on the old kits? I don't think i've seen it on the newer ones.
>>43487041
That's literrally the only non-M113 bit about it, though, and it's optional.
>>43487402
The important part about it though is that's why it's called a Rhino.
>>43487522
...as opposed to the fact that every other aspect of the vehicle is much closer to an actual M113 than an obscure nickname for a bit of WW2 tank equipment?
I'm not even sure what you're trying to argue here.
>>43487670
>argue
What?
I'm pointing out the interesting fact that the 40k vehicle is named after a piece of IRL WWII equipment.
>>43487773
Except it's not.
It's an unusual coincidence at best.
>>43483903
>>43485146
>>43487041
after looking at some M113 pictures/ videos I've changed my mid and am now sad that it's gone
Looking at grabbing a few Zvezda Shilkas and 2S1s for my TY Soviet forces.
Do any of you know of reasonably priced and reliable webstores that ship to western Europe for that?
In particular, the Netherlands.
>>43489671
Do PSC ship to you?
>>43489739
Looks like they don't have the Shilka and 2S1 in their range (at least yet).
