I plan on running a Pokémon game for a few friends, but find myself running short on ideas and art for trainers and their pokémon. Do you all have any ideas/images I could use for inspiration?
Is this shit allowed on /tg/?

my fallback fanfic-y poke character is a Ruins Maniac named Archie who uses Unown, Baltoy, Nosepass, Bronzor, Sigilyph and Yamask lines. Sometimes he has a brother named Leo who uses all fossil pokemon.
I played a pokemon RP once a loooong time ago where my character was a surfer chick who used a Starmie as a board.
Unfortunately it never really ended up going anywhere.

Honestly, I dunno. I thought so, since I'm running PTU, which is a tabletop game, that I would post here.

Fisherman/swimming nigga who is totally not stoned I swear and spends most if not all his time lazing around on a riverbank with his team of 6 Slowpokes.
Anemic-looking bad guy. Motivations and team are irrelevant, except that he has a hidden 7th pokemon, a Gengar that lurks in his shadow.

A serial killer who collects ghost Pokémon that used to be his victims.

I always thought that using a Dark specialist typeshifter (Do they still have those?) would be a great villian because they could create the ultimate pokemon! Darkshifted Shedinja to be Dark/Ghost! Then wonderguard would make it immune to all direct damage!
Then fairy type came out and ruined the "Dark/Ghost no weakness" thing. I guess you could still put wonderguard on pure electric types holding air baloons, but that doesn't sound as evil.

Shedninja would still die in one hit to damaging status/weather effects/entry hazard moves, skill swapping wonder guard to spiritomb or saybleye is the superior option.
Though the ultimate option is normalize+skill shuffling:

I always wanted to play a cool bug trainer he would ware a hybrid fencing/ bee keeper's outfit.
The team would have a
Scolipede
Galvantula
Volcarona
Crustle
Parasect
and a shiny Scizor names Epee.
A Steve Irwin expy with:
Kangaskhan
Arbok
Tododile
Sandipe andMantine

The thing is, my players (at the time) didn't know enough about pokemon to know to use weather moves, etc. and would have pokemon based on using hyperbeam and other "cool" damage moves.
That normalize strategy is cool as hell. Reminds me of the Entrainment Durant/Dugtrio/Gothitelle combo. Durant entrains Truant onto the enemy, then you switch into Arena Trap Dugtrio/Shadow Tag Gothitelle as appropriate, use protect to free set up, and sweep the other team.
