The gnome is a bookish wizard type with glasses and a magnificent mustache played like a super-nerd.
The kobold was the survivor of a raid that was sprung on the adventurers. The gnome tried for a charisma check to see if he could information out of the kobold about where the main bad guy was at for the current quest and he rolled a nat 20 so the DM decided to make the kobold REALLY like the gnome and it has been tagging along with us ever since.
The gnome doesn't like it, but since it poses no threat the players being all good aligned won't outright kill it and it has proven to be useful by steering wagons and guiding boats and just being an overall pack-mule. Plus it is a good source of amusement to have the gnome get all flustered when the kobold tries to cuddle up to him and shit. The bard gives him no end of shit about the whole thing.
So, typical kobold design I guess with an eager to help expression in general. Too bad her stats means that she is total canon fodder on the whole. Really don't know how she hasn't died in combat yet (probably because she doesn't actually do combat and just hides or stays back at the camp to keep the action focused on the PCs).
Still kind of funny when she managed to track us down when we got caught up in an adventure that caused us to leave her behind on the other side of continent once. She was pissed at every player at the table until the gnome showed back up, he was out taking a leak, and proceeded to get all giddy and shit on the spot.
Gnome has game for a dork, got to give him that. He has pretty shitty Charisma too. Like a -2 but son of bitch playing him rolls high as hell pretty constant when trying to be diplomatic. Combining that with bardic inspiration and he drops more panties than the bard does.

2142 was my favorite shooter of all time.
I loved smashing into someone's head with an APC pod, killing them so hard they couldn't be rezzed.
I loved the satisfying BRRRRT of the Bianchi LMG.
I loved the squat, boxy, but suprisingly maneuverable Battlewalkers.
I loved killing them by running up to them and shooting them right in the nuts with an anti-tank rifle.
Gods, I played the FUCK out of that game.

3DS Max. I've been using it for a while now but I'm really looking to branch into something that supports character modelling or at least that kind of workflow a little better - say Maya or Blender. I'm not really sure what Max is 'meant' for, but it seems to do a little of just about everything.
Once this animation's done I'd love to do some more Bolds for a little practice in something that's not Max, most of what I do is illustration but 3D is just another outlet once you get to grips with actually using the software.

I play my kobolds as being technically proficient with a slightly higher tech level than the rest of the setting.
So kind of like a dwarf city, but with higher tech and lower craftsmanship. No lovely stonework or magnificent halls, but they have a better grasp of alchemy and primitive firearms as well as a magical tradition somewhere between regular wizardry and druidism.
At least that's how I play them, very technical with lots of experimentation and looking for ways to compensate for lower strength using high technology.

A kobold delve is a massive, intricate network of small tunnels, purposefully not laid out in any grid or regular pattern to make navigation hard for trespassers. Numerous passages go nowhere, loop back on themselves, or are just stuffed to the gills with traps. Young kobolds are taught to memorize the layout, sort of like London taxi drivers. If you don't learn it and end up impaled in a spike trap, well, your stupid self was probably a liability anyway.
Many access passages are too small even for kobolds to fit comfortably, on the theory that anything which even a kobold has to squeeze through is certainly impossible for a bigger creature to enter. These narrow passages are often disguised and can be used to flank intruders. Many major passages are rigged for collapse in order to isolate intruders, while still allowing kobold counterattacks through the narrow access passages.
Everything is fairly well-made but unadorned and spartan, kobolds being true utilitarians in all regards. There is not a single chair to be found in the entire delve, but simple cushions are often used when eating or enjoying the brief rest periods that kobolds very occasionally enjoy (kobolds are strangers to idleness, and get nervous and fidgety when they aren't doing anything). Dim magical lighting is used, particularly in living areas (as darkvision lacks color definition), but deployed in such a way that the delve can be "blacked out" quickly in an emergency.
As a side note, kobold craftsmanship is considered inferior to dwarven simply because individual dwarves have much longer lifespans in which to practice their art, but the size and dexterity of kobolds makes them ideal gem-cutters, and kobold-cut gemstones have no equal. As they adorn almost nothing, however, you'd be hard-pressed to see any gems when vising a kobold delve, aside from the roughly polished ornamental stones like bloodstones and agates which kobolds use as an internal currency.

Personally, I say no natural tits.
But body transformation and cross breeds that should be impossible are common enough in a lot of fantasy settings that I don't get that upset about it.
If you want your kobold to have tits just say it's a family trait and you had a human in your ancestry due to magically assisted crossbreeding or it was a magical transformation that passed on to children.
I personally don't like it but I wouldn't make a big deal out of it if a player wanted to have them.

Yes, but not obvious onesunless it's the sort of game they should have obvious ones, and even then they don't have big ones, it'd look odd on a quadruped if nothing else, and dragons don't take that big of a role in raising their young so it's actually largely vestigial, (in my setting dragons have a symbiotic thing with kobolds based in newly hatched dragons looking near identical to kobolds for the first 6 or so decades of their life, I can go into more detail if you like) but dragon milk is a thing

In my novels, the kobolds absolutely do not have breasts (and the very concept confuses the female protagonist), but on the cover, they do have them.
The reason why is that when you have a semi-realistic art style, without secondary sexual characteristics it's really hard to signal to the viewer that it's a female kobold.

Mine is non-standard as my Kobolds.
They live in largely concentrated populations in cities they made themselves. These cities are usually located in jungle swamps or rivers.
Their cities are underground, yet have their own water network that they use to travel between certain parts of their underground cities. They are also fortified to the point that no Psychopathic Cannibal Pygmy Gnome will enter unscathed, since Kobold traps are lethal devices, some even being ridiculously powerful curses that will slowly drain your vitality and leave you a shriveled husk.
The center of theirs is something that acts as both city center and central temple. Both are where decisions are made that concern the city itself, as well as various rituals that are linked with their ancestor and draconic god worship.

The Japanese were influenced by Wizardry, an ancient dungeon crawler for PC that came out in the 80's and pretty much inspired the entire jrpg genre and heavily influenced Japanese fantasy.
Its sort of like how LoTR influenced western fantasy.
