Well, not exactly. The orchid need to be fucked by the bee because the bee will be covered in pollen from another orchid, thus transferring the "sperm" from the first orchid to the "ovaries" of the second (remember that many plants are hermaphrodites, so it dosent matter which plant is visited first or last). A dryad analogue would be a male/hermaphoriditic dryad tree that in some way got their equivalent of seed onto a human, who then in turn wanted to fuck the female tree nymph plant, and in the act would transfer the male dryads seed to the female dryad (and whoosh! dryad kids!)
An idea coming to mind could be a complex life cycle where the "male" dryad was living parasitic in humans, maybe transferred via air as spores to the lungs, and then lived in the male humans testicles. When the carrier gets aroused by the tree, he'll fuck it and not only his own seed, but the dryad seed gets transferred as well, and gets the female dryad pregnant.

Is this extinction? Hard to say, I mean, in that scenario humans would evovle into elves rather than die off.
