Has LARP gone too far?

I don't think they've gone too far enough.
I work in a restaurant, and as such frequently injure myself. I play around with my injuries, but I wouldn't let someone else do the same.
Why don't these wounds bleed, or are there pumps within them to stimulate said occurrence. Another issue would be that taking the time to put those on would reduce immersion, and they also look a bit heavy so putting them on ahead of time would impede your movement, making you more likely to get hit. In other words, it needs a lot more refinement before it is usable.

There is no such thing as LARP going too far.
Who doesn't want to LARP and carry a "wounded" comrade to a tent for amputation and slow deatg from gangrene? We must larp the aftermatch too

In the grimdark present day of the Boy Scout reservation we use in the off-seasons for fantasy LARP games, war is hell.
