We send he who carries our gift to the outsiders, our greatest general in life and death. General Dorian. He will bring us our meat and then... Our loyal soldiers.

I harvest peoples souls and turn their corpses into undead husks that serve me.

-1 Warlord
-25 Recruiters
-50 Soldiers
-5 Psionics
>>
>>37207473
Oh come on. Please tell me I get to reroll anything that's a 5 or less, there should be a rule with a force that size.. I doubt it matters really since I tend to attack small villages and towns
>>
>>37207419
>2.What system (If any.) are you using to determine the success of our rolls?

>3.Can we attack or make hostile actions towards other players?

This.

This is why Magical Realm when to shit. No real system, and without that, interacting with other players was really shitty, if not impossible.
>>
>>37207419
>1.What counts as a non-player based action?
Any action that doesn't involve a player. Example: dealing with complications, exploring, neighbouring kingdoms, etc.

>2.What system (If any.) are you using to determine the success of our rolls?
1-9 is critical fail. 90-100 is critical win. Anything in between are weighed with any relevant affinities, minion skill level, minion amount, complications, etc. That and personal (and hopefully) unbiased experience.

3.Can we attack or make hostile actions towards other players?
Ask if it's okay first. Then interact with eachother, and I will judge your actions. Please play fair or I will intervene.

>>37207473
Oh, my. Not a good start.

After a long trek and a seemingly hopeless effort, whispers seem to have taken a great toll on your general. He's currently on a rampage on your own minions. You lose 10 minions of your choice (I'll be lenient with this, and please keep track of this yourself). You can restore his sanity send another party or you can order a quick retreat of your minions and abandon your General.
>>
>>37207677
But... Everyone is insane in my kingdom... He's supposed to be insane. Honestly I don't even know why I was even rolling for that because I was just explaining the basic gist of what I do. I figured the amount of troops I sent would have some effect on my outcome

There is so little I do not know and so much to fathom.

Two pair of eyes is insufficient, more are required.
Eyes that see sight beyond sight, to imagine and image. Eyes that grace the air and the between spaces like birds, glimmering with the brilliant sheen of quicksilver crowned with sapphire iris.

My heralds of hartshorn, prodigies in spellcraft will assist me in this endeavor.

>1. Construct scrying eyes (7 Archmages).

>>37207748
Okay, I didn't know the lore of your domain.

I will alter my reply. However, the fact remains that you have critically failed your exploration/recruitment roll.

You send your party away lead by your general. However the trek is a seemingly hopeless effort. Through your perception prowess, you notice angelic outsiders have come and intercepted your party. They are well prepared against your undead and monstrous general with holy magic. Your soldiers and general are barely able to save some of your other minions. You lose 10 minions of your choice. It's still going though, come up with a solution quick.

All that is light is not good.

Do you want to see behind the veil? Do you want to glimpse the blinding light of trackless eternities of the void? Do not worry, you will be sought out. The master sends his tendrils out into society even now, searching for those with the right minds to comprehend his greatness. His agents will find you and show you the way back to the hidden gates to his realm. He is grooming and training his disciples for the return of his yet greater masters and progenitors, they cannot be disappointed by us as they have been with the rest of the world. We will perfect ourselves for them and to allow their transcendent return to reality.

A word of warning, however, to those who would attempt to usurp the Masters realm from him for it is a place of shifting glass and crystallized light.

You have set a your group of archmages onto creating a set of Scrying Eyes for yourself I presume?. However, powerful things always come at a price. Your archmages inform you that they are nearly completed but need one invaluable ingredient: a set of oracle eyes. You can choose to either take one from your own minions or try to find someone outside of your realm. Being that it's seperate realm, doing the latter is more difficult.

And if that's not the worst, your scrying eyes can expire too (if you ever roll <20). Do you still wish to continue?

I lorenth, am the archmage of the Darshim, god of music. As the lord of music and beauty he forged a court whos purpose was to keep this world pure. Despite demons, liches, and old ones we made sure this world didnt become utterly decrepit. For millenia i fought for my lord until one of the ancient evils rose. This evil, known only as The Silent Mouth rose to destroy this world. In a great battle to keep the world truly beautiful my lord took all his angels, clerics, and paladins and met this evil head on. The ensuing battle killed the both the Evil and my lord, along with most of his court and worshippers. I and few others still remained, corrupted by the fight and asleep for millenia. We have awoken to purify this world.

The Undermines. The gigantic, rocky shafts house the Etta are growing. They constantly change of their own will, with physics changing randomly where it suits itself. The land itself is alive and is filled with treasure and adventure, but it is out to kill you and everything that dares tread within it. If the Undermines doesn't kill you on its own, the Etta surely will do the job. They patrol the shafts, shaking the earth around their steps. They are near indestructible, but a couple were killed in the Undermine's past.

However, fear the Itta. Many have seen it, yet only one has escaped from it's wrath. As far as everyone can tell, the Itta is invincible, and will destroy all who would try to enter his domain.

After the initial surprise attack, your soldiers now easily overpower your enemies. You easily replendished your ranks, and you gain 1 minion token of mooks.

Your perception prowess tells you that this was just a scouting group, and that you're lucky none of them escaped, or you would've been in big trouble. The whispers tell you it's best to recall your party, unless you want to stir the hornet's nest. (You reached the limit of recruiting right now, but you can force another, with increased risk.)

Might as well post lore to avoid future confusion

Gurza is king of land. King forever. We were king even when he was a soft-skin. Now we are strong. The stone has made us strong! IN THE MINES WHERE MEN TOIL IN SWEAT OUR BIRTHRIGHT WAS WORN. So beautiful was this gem… It was ours… Only a king should be worthy of such a magnificent gem. MINE! MINE! MINE! MINE!

We took the gem, fell in love with the gem. We stopped seeing anyone else, even our queen. FILTHY BITCH! ROTTEN FUCKING WHORE! Then the gem spoke to us, much to our delight. It told us to feed it and it will make us perfect, and we shall reign forever. SOULS! FEED ME THEIR SOULS! And so we did. Army and lieutenants understood, once I showed them the beauty of the gem they too would do my bidding. After our kingdom was drained we set their empty husks to good use, the gem made it so. Their lifeless bodies animated again yet completely bending to my will. Next set our focus on nearby kingdoms we called “allies”. They were easily taken over. WEAK! Our body started to change, as did that of those close to us. The light was no longer a welcome sight, so we dug to make a new kingdom. One where we could protect the precious stone and all of our other treasures.

New kingdom safe. Can't be found. We send Husks to find more soldiers to protect the precious stone. OURS! OURS!

>Flavor Text

Gift from a god of Music and Light to a faithful servant with the power of the Storm, Åskargård was crafted from a fragment of the halls of paradise. The realm boasts several temples and small settlements, terraced and fertile farmland and ancient forests scattered across a dozen floating islands, themselves filled with precious metals. The air around the realm is filled nearly perpetually with raging storms and contains a curious magic, bending light to make the sky appear empty from an outside view.

Entering into Åskargård is not an easy task when not invited; situated over a small range of mountains resembling spears more than hills, a river flows into the base of one and straight up though the spire to the highest of the islands. The realm itself is infused with a peculiar magic of song - infuse your voice with a touch of magic and sing or hum to find wings of acoustic magic sprouting from your back. Even those with little magical ability may find stones and small artifacts scattered which will provide the magic, if not the song.

The realm has spent many a prosperous year under the care of the Stormlord, but those days are long past even if their memories live on in the hearts and tales of the surrounding peoples. Almost two decades ago, he fell. But finally, his successor has arisen - Ivarr. The time has come to restore the glory of the realm, to scour the lands of bandits, and to exact revenge on the Stormlord's killers.

Though seemingly out of the way, the Fuchsia Isles are very fond of dabbling in the politics and world events, operating almost as a neutral state reliant on the odd natural resource of others to keep us nice and busy, offering a variety of services and being almost uninvadable, the Fuchsia Isles operates very well as almost a mercenary Kingdom, not necessarily quite as fickle or unprofessional but never the less, occasionally prone to bargain. While it has no standing army, it does all of its fighting with small crack teams in well planned operations rather than outright war, which seems to work all the better for the nation.
Between chained islands, well patrolled borders, black-ops aero/hydromancers and warriors, intensely high quality metalwork, and a lovely extended claw to the international scene, the floating and forever rainy Fuchsia islands welcome your ambassadors and hope to hear from you soon,
Yours Sincerely, the King in the pink clouds.

Little is known of Arcadia; most of the descriptions of the place are yarns spun by merchants who claimed to have traveled there. The common thread is the image of paradise, islands floating above a shimmering sea, plentiful food and drink, and a population that occupies its time with luxury and merriment. It would be difficult to believe were it not for the wares that are brought back which bear a very distinctive magical signature. Strangely, no one who had left there remembered how to get back, though they do recall a strong feeling of being watched from the movement of their arrival.

The apparent ruler is a modest man, so it seems, and the accounts of him are likewise consistent. He favors the robes of a mage, generally described as varying shades of blue, and his eyes flicker between a number of different colors. He is occasionally accompanied by a woman whp dresses to hide most of her body; one report claims that she is possessed of terrible and corrupting power, but this is unconfirmed.

We have always stood here. We have always obeyed the last command of the ancients. For countless ages, we have stood at the boundary of sanity, holding the strange back from reality. For just as long we have taken the most promising of the garden in order to hold back the strange. He-Who-Sees tells me that the fruits consider us folk tales, boogeymen that take children in the night. They are not far wrong.

I wonder what they would say if they knew that the Hive was the lesser Evil.

The moving mountain, Rhydar, has always brought trade and prosperity to the places it settles. For with it brings the nomads that live on its peaks and the flourishing markets deep in it's bowels. Travellers say that deep into the wastes of the Northern Sands, a tribe of Nomads thrives. Slender beasts of human and animal lineage, their origin buried by dunes a thousand times shifted, walk endlessly through wadis and oasis alike, never thinking of destination, only of travel and lore and philosophy. Masters of Illusions, the Delauziir look to stars, gods and boundless horizons alike, gathering knowledge and keeping it alive through will and sheer joy. Their arrival is heralded by sandstorms and shimmering mirages, and their trade is of tales and whispered secrets.
Never have they struck first in a fight, but time and time again they had to defend their secrets and freedom from others, but new aeons call for change, and they're moving towards the border of the Wasteland as we speak, their course traced by stars and the chants of the Council, their purpose unknown, maybe even to them. The tribes and kingdoms in their path are readying themselves, for battle against these heathens will be inevitable.

So basically I tried to make Deleuze's nomads into a domain, with a side dish of Negarestani. Tell me what ya think

As a merchanty domain wouldn't problems with banditry be a given? As for demons, that would just place my alignment towards neutral/good and limit my trade with evil factions wouldn't it?
>>

Tired as in agitated and unfocused.

I wanted to warn you about your persistance, but you ignored it. This time, surprise, is a penalty. You don't just fail 2 times and get away with that by retrying.

After searching for a third time, the soldiers find a mining shaft. Inside there is a dark crude tunnel, roughly the size of a house. Pressing on, desperate on finding something, they stumble on an ancient rift. They examine it and recognize it quite easily. It's a rift from one of the Forgotten Ones, and when the realization kicks in, the closest soldiers (10) are dragged into it. The Rift grows in size, and part of the tunnel begins to collapse.

>>37222226
It was a good thing you didn't follow them, it was an obvious ambush. You simply send more minions to another task. They march towards a village. The village witnesses your coming with large and necrotic numbers, they do not fight and hastily retreat their numbers. Your warlord accounted for this and tried to box them in. Still though, most of them escape for you since you don't have very fast units.

You are left with a measily 20 in numbers. They cry why you are attacking them and beg you not to harm them.

>>37222281
You try to prepare a meal, but it seems constructs aren't very adept at cooking. They simply lack the tasting buds. However your servants try their best, and the bestials aren't very picky. The storm is heading your direction, and you're unable to rise again in such a short period of time. It seems you made a mistake by following in their tracks as you now endanger your whole domain. You can attempt to use magic to calm the storm, brace for it or both.

The tribe collects itself around the Great Fires, and a bellow, so deep it shifts the sands, is heard.

"Brothers! Tonight we draw our path forward, to the ends of the wasteland and beyond. So our Will decreed. Council! Look to the stars, and listen, and write. Ask them of lands and people and realms. Tomorrow, we travel."

Rolling to devise surroundings and neighbors via star-reading.

You remember there was something you meant to do, but your paranoia has a great toll.

Your thoughts are currently in a real mess right now. You and your minions forget everything going on right now.

>>37223691
You wish to fortify outside your domain at the village? Alright.

You, and your minions fortify the small village. However there aren't many materials, and you make due with whatever presents itself. In this state, you know it can be easily overrun, just as you did with your army. You have one more order you can give before they arrive.

Another portal closes. You are now down to 4 portals. But if it comes down to it, you can travel through a broken portal. It can have unexpected results.

The stars speak of disaster and tell you of great losses for whatever next action you shall take.

>>37224020
Your oracle senses your indecisiveness, and suggests you take to looking for more resources. Illusions and magic do not provide, and if you wish for your beasts to travel outside, they will need supplies.

She also suggests not to be too attached to the alliance between your domain and the bestials, for once the domain moves, they will stay.

>>37224021
Do you wish to convert your guards into soldiers? Or do you wish to create new soldiers?

As it stands, you can't take up people for training from nowhere. Same goes for your angels, do you wish to take other angels and screen them for psionic abilities? This process seems very difficult for you lack angel psionics in the first place.

Humanoids can breed, grow up and be trained but it won't be done any time soon. Choose whatever you wish, and try to make a more specific order next time.

It's a choice, not a roll. As it stands, they don't seem eligible for combat as from their lack of interest. Your benevolence prevents you from forcing them otherwise.

They do seem to take pride in their singing skills. To them it would mean a lot if you would take your time to listen. Because you mean to much to them. Pic related.
>>37225092
You listen and it sounds heavenly, it clearly shows why they prefer to sing. Your minions have gained Talent: Musician!

The peasants don't seem very talented, or healthy for that matter. The training is a waste of time.

>>37224975
You regained your memories and remembered the fishing village. I'll combine it with the 46 roll for the attack.

You succesfully begin your attack on the village. It goes smoothely and the village falls. A few stragglers escape. You are left with 30 prisoners.

But, after a while, a human army, at least triple the size of yours marches towards the village. It seems the escaped humans from the previous village you raided sent word to their king, and he has sent real armies to stop your minions.

>>37225019
You go toe to toe with their warriors, and they fight with superiority over yours. Luckily your numbers and initiative save you from casualties this time, but the next wave is prepared for your numbers.

They send 10 battle-mages and 10 warriors. You still haven't begun searching for the summoner.

>>37225051
There are no losses yet, but the sudden intrusion of the snow domain scared all of your recruiters. They all run off in different directions, and freeze solid. They're technically still alive, as they're constructs, but are lost and immobilized.

Your oracles eyes freeze solid in magic ice from gazing upon the realm. She loses her powers until someone can cure it.

>>37225091
