Your emissaries return to the cave after a few short days walking. The field of rich soil is just now showing signs of growth, small green nubs in neat little lines. A testament to the Homunculi's teachings. In return you have agreed to offer their village protection, 2 Giants remain with them as guards and protectors.
The threat of The Green still remains, your tribe is still sore from the loss of your hunters. Every eye is turned to the shadows, every watching for a hint of the beast.

Welcome back to Giants on Ice!

Spring is a season for many things.

Good enough to start.

Your storeroom is still slim on food, the Homunculi's offering of vegetables spent to make the farm, many of your hunter voice concern about hunting near the mountains to the east. They have grown wary of The Green.

Hateblade is an Ice Quartz sword made from Giants blood. It was made at the end of the last thread.
>>37494123
>>37494186
Your hunters set out while some of the remaining giants set out fixing the lobster traps.
Your Hunters stray close to the grove of white trees to the east while stalking a herd of mammoth. Closer now than before they hear the strange rattling of the ivory leafs. While this serves as a temporary distraction your Hunters return to their hunt. A short and brutal hunt later and your hunters return with 2 Mammoth bodies.
The lobster traps are finished being repaired, not as masterfully as before the traps will need to be repaired regularly.
Meanwhile at the Homunculi compound your Giants spend most of their time patrolling the outskirts of their village, always shadowed by the small form of a Homunculi.

Your Giants set about learning how to fire clay. They spend hours beside the icewash, wetting clay and burying it in brush and wood, burning it with intense heat. Their progress is notable, in the first week they show a finger sized nugget of clay as hard as stones.

>>37494451
Your Giants switch Guard. The new protectors ask the Homunculi about mining tools. The Homunculi seem a little confused, "We havnt used tools for mining in over 80 years. Maybe we can come to an agreement for further trade?"

When questioned the Giants sent to guard the Homunculi recall days spent patrolling the towns boarders, Their nights spent in lonely silence, they missed the tribes music. Almost as an afterthought they explain how during their whole time in the village, not a word was spoken aside from when they spoke to the Homunculi.

Your Hunters go out with their clubs, heading south for buffalo. It takes longer than expected but they return with 6 Live buffalo slung over their shoulders. A pen will be needed to keep them from running rampant.

Your Craftsmen once again prove their prowess for quick learning, no sooner had they finished learning to make ceramics than they started making crude casts for iron tools and thick pots to melt the iron in.

Your Giants on guard notice smoke on the horizon, when asked the Homunculi seem unsure but also unwilling to look into it. The humans seem be preparing for harvest, tall golden wheat waves in the cool breeze and plump red tomatoes hang heavy on vines. The smoke concerns your Giants but without any reason to focus on it they go back to their patrols.

Your Giants set about Building a pen for the Buffalo, taking hardwood from the surrounding tundra they have a small but nice pen hammered just outside the Deep Cave. The Buffalo are about as unhappy as anyone might imagine, huffing and charging the fence when your Giants walk by. The Hardwood shakes with their impact but, aside from that the pen shows no sign of holding its agitated habitants.

Your Scouts are sent out to look for The Child, accompanied by Jyoti and a few hunters the search party tear across the tundra. Occasionally poking into the mountainsides, after several days of searching your party finds itself before the White Wood. Its pale trunks thin and dense, their leafs twisting and rustling in an unusual melody. When they push inside the wood the sound of rushing water can be heard.

Your party spreads out, keeping eachother in eyeshot as they move towards the source of water. One of yours scouts offhandedly remark how clear the forest floor is, bare of both fallen leaf and brush. Axes are stowed after several clack against pale trunks. Passing through another veil of white leafs your Giants pull up short. A wide pool of deep blue water shimmers, its far side a pounding waterfall spews from a sheer mountainside. The pools waters look inviting to your thirsty search party.
