You are Ur'shal, Chieftain of the Stonetusk Clan and Warlord of the Wastes. Your plan to ambush the shifter camp, genius though it was, had to undergo a pretty major alteration once you arrived at your destination, discovering the shifter camp in shambles and its survivors driven back to higher ground by a wave of insectile mutants, all that remains of the elves who lived in the abyss-corrupted lands to the west.
You managed to make the best of things, coordinating a plan to strike the mutants from both sides with the very force you came her to conquer, knowing full well that there's nothing different races can agree on so readily as a hatred of the Abyss. The mutants are gone now, dead or scattering back into the jungle after the example made of their sorcerer by Bra'kur, and despite a few losses, all told it was an easy enough fight.
Now though, you find yourself in a tense stand-off with your allies of convenience. The shifters are weakened, bloodied, reduced to half their numbers by the mutants, you've no doubt that your war pack could overwhelm what's left of them. Unfortunately, with how resilient the shifters' regeneration and shapechanging powers make them, you've also no doubt that in the pitched battle you'd be waging if you assaulted them now, you'd lose a lot of warriors, and you don't have a vast number to spare.

That's not really supported by the options provided.
They are very clearly differentiated by:
1. Be agressive.
2. Be defensive.
3. Use trickery.
Defensive means as it says in the option going in slow and steady trying to feel out what things look like and so on.
False openings and pretending to overextend slightly are far more at home with the third option provided.
As things stand, I simply don't think an opponent with such good regen and presumably a correspondingly brutal combat style is going to give us the opportunity to "feel her out" without making us pay dearly for it, which is why I can't support trying to open up defensively.

You've seen well enough already how tough the shifters' regenerative abilities make them, and if this is their leader, it stands to reason that she would be even more hardy than the rest, despite her lithe elven frame. On the plus side, with her regeneration being what it is, it means you don't have to go easy on her either, she'll walk off a few smacks with your axe, provided you don't take her head off or something.
Besides, you're sure your warriors will appreciate the show.
You bellow out a roar, closing the distance to the shifter alpha in seconds. Even if she was expecting you to make the first move, you can tell with some satisfaction from the way her eyes widen a fraction that she was not expecting you to make it this fast. She tries to twist out of the way of your swing, bringing her arm up at the last moment as she realizes that her body isn't moving fast enough. The enchanted steel slices deep into the flesh, the force of the strike as her arm is crushed back against her body sending her sprawling to the gore-soaked earth.
The shifter rolls as she hits the ground, springing back to her feet, the arm you struck hanging on by a thread of muscle and cracked bone, already you can see the useless limb starting to knit itself back together, but even with her power she can't recover a wound that serious so quickly. You follow up your attack, the shifter barely leaping to the side as your axe buries itself in the dirt, sending up a spray of red-tinted mud as you bring it around, slashing at the retreating shifter.
She snarls, the sound swallowed up with your triumphant roar as you step straight through her clumsy attempts at a counterattack, a glancing blow knocking her leg out from under her and sending her spinning through the dirt once again.

You surge in again, the shifter scrambling back, trying to put some more distance between the two of you so her body has time to recover from your earlier attacks. You're not about to give her breathing room however, pressing your assault, your axe just barely missing her as she ducks and weaves, her recovering leg almost giving out beneath her on more than one occasion.
You come in for another swing, the shifter's leg recovering just in time to allow her to spring to the side, a swipe of her leg sending sharp toenails raking along your thigh as she goes. A superficial wound, but the first blood she's shed since the fight started, which seems to put a bit more confidence back in the growls and cheers of the shifters.
Speaking of the shifters, it seems that your push has driven the alpha all the way back to her side of the arena, which in turn has made you wind up very close to her warriors. You could continue to press the attack from here, especially since the alpha has yet to recover her momentum from your aggressive push, but that does risk her followers getting ideas.

You charge forward, the snarling wall of shifters barely an arm's length from you as you close in on the alpha, catching her breath as her injuries, now little more than flesh wounds, seal up.
You catch a glimpse of movement from the shifter ranks just in time, blocking a swiping claw on your vambraces as one of the spectators lunges for you. You half-turn, driving your fist into his jaw, hearing the satisfying crunch of shattered bone beneath your knuckles and sending the shifter tumbling back into the crowd.
The other shifters start to snarl and howl for blood, riled up by the flash of violence, and your own warriors in turn sound none too happy, hammering weapons on shields and roaring for vengeance, looking ready to rush the shifter ranks right now for interrupting the duel. Ignoring it, you press your advantage, best to get both sides' minds back on the fight than on thoughts of attacking each other.
The shifter ducks to the side as you swing, away from her pack, back towards the centre of the makeshift arena. Perhaps she's respecting your duel, or perhaps she simply made a poor decision, because you know she's quick enough to have dodged away in another, more advantageous direction. You follow as she backs away, the blade of your axe opening a shallow gash along her forehead, already sealing itself even as you ready your next swing, twisting your body to let a swipe of her claws glance off your breastplate.
You land some good hits, as the two of you exchange blows once more in the centre, taking only a few shallow cuts in turn, but you know well enough that you need a more decisive strike to finish this off. You'll get tired, your wounds will mount up, hers won't.

The last thing you want here is a straightforward exchange of blows with the alpha. Small though she is, she can shrug off a lot more punishment than you thanks to her regeneration. If you're going to finish this, you're going to need to put her down hard.
You wait for her to make her move, ducking under a short swing of your axe, claws lashing at the less armoured chain beneath the breastplate. You don't duck, stepping into the swipe, roaring as the shifter's claws tear through the metal rings of the old chain, gouging into your flesh. There's a fierce snarl of triumph from the shifter as she finally lands a serious blow, and one you cut off short as you sweep your axe around to the side, slamming it full force up under her ribs.
The alpha is lifted off her feet, cast to the ground in a crumpled heap, belly split open and bottom ribs damn near obliterated by the force of the blow, thrashing on the ground as she struggles in vain to stand, her body still reeling from the shock, one hand, no longer a claw, gripped to her middle to keep her innards from spilling. It's a gory sight, and seems to have finally been enough to put the shifter down for long enough to claim victory.
You grin, stepping in on the downed alpha, her body struggling to repair the brutal damage done to it.
“Do you submit?” you growl, levelling your axe at her.
The alpha's eyes narrow, baring her bloodied teeth into a snarl, her fingertips digging into her ruined belly.

Snorting, you bring your axe around for another strike, maybe with a few more broken bones she'll finally admit defeat. You catch sight of the changes just in time, stepping back as a massive claw swings through the air where your throat was just moments before, the massive black-furred limb looking comically oversized compared to the rest of the elf's frame.
The change isn't just the limb though, it's spreading, fast. The elf's healing process growing faster yet, her stomach wound sealing itself, the blood lost within a spreading mass of dark hair as her whole body ripples and warps. This isn't the transformation you've seen from the other shifters, there's no way you'd mistake it for that. The elf staggers back up to her feet, swelling muscle tearing apart her meagre clothing as she grows, until you find yourself face to face not with an elf, but with a two-legged panther-thing, just barely shorter than you are. The alpha lets out a low snarl as her bones pop, adjusting to the transformation, her tail flicking back and forth behind her.

You've got no idea what this new form is capable of, and you can't be so sure that you can overpower the alpha anymore, large as she's grown with her transformation. You growl, hefting your axe as you wait, seeing what she'll do next.
What you weren't expecting was for her to do exactly what you did when this fight started. She lunges straight for you, her harsh shriek ringing in your ears as she barrels into you. You just barely fend off a blow to your throat, another swipe tearing four long, bloody scratches along your jaw. You grunt, wincing as you bring your axe up to fend off the rabid assault of the shifter alpha, managing to knock aside her jaws with a blow from the haft of your axe, staggering to keep your footing as she lays into you.
She's fast, far stronger than she was before, and seems to be even more fearless than she was before with her new power. A complete change of pace from the more cautious and calculating opponent she was in her elven form.

Anyways, since I'm not sure we should actually vote before Lordy is back, some general thoughts.
On the one hand I'm realtively certain that this isn't something she can keep up very long, which makes fighting defensively a lot more viable than it seems.
On the other this is pretty much the best opportunity to go berserker on her, given that she has the most regen right now and might be suffering from debuffs to her cunning herself.

Save it for our attack
At this rate, the alpha's newfound strength and ferocity is going to overwhelm you before you can find your feet, the shifter's hulking form threatening to bear you down to the ground and rip you apart. Grunting as another swipe of her claws tears through the flesh of your arm, you ram the haft of the axe into her stomach. It doesn't do much to force the alpha back, but it at least gives you enough leverage to put distance between the two of you, stepping back and shifting your grip.
“Weak,” the alpha growls, her voice rough and clumsy, her hybrid form's tongue ill-suited for speech.
You snort, brushing off the insult as she lunges forward again, catching her pounce on your axe and using it to sidestep the brunt of the attack, her claws glancing off the flat of the blade as she passes. She skids to a halt, turning and launching herself again without a moment's hesitation, and again you manage to redirect the force just enough to avoid a fatal blow. It's working for now, but the weight behind her swings is starting to take its toll on your muscles as you parry and deflect, your arms starting to burn with the strain.
You spot it however, as you skid to one knee under the force of a leaping swipe, grunting with exertion as you rise back to your feet in time to dodge the follow up. She's getting overconfident, her early pounces were tighter, more controlled, but with every exchange they grow more sloppy and overconfident. She's toying with you.

The dazed shifter stops her frenzied scrabbling as you rise up, feeling the sting of half a tooth still lodged in the skin of your scalp, revelling in the burn.
The shifter tries to turn onto her belly, to scramble away, and you bring your axe down on her leg, sheering straight through the bone, leaving your prey dragging along the useless limb behind her by little more than a string of sinew. With a howl you raise your axe up once more, slamming it down into the alpha's back, her arms giving way beneath her as you drive the blade into the spine.
