Hello! I am the God-Emperor of the Glorious Empire of Tyguria (disclaimer, is a protectorate of the Nationalist Socialist
Empire of /pol/ynesia hence the cool technocratic flag). We are looking to find interested fellows to take part in the
construction and maintenence of our country through the recruitment of fighters, workers, and academics of all kinds.
Server is: mc.civcraft.vg it is running version 1.8

Question: What is Tyguria?
Tyguria was founded by me (Bob Nignog) and several cohorts from Bay12 due to the amount of potential that could come from
a /tg/ town being on a server that supports roleplay and creative hilarity. We are a vassal state currently of /pol/'s
country, one of the oldest and the most successful Chan board states on the server, this version of its map having been
running for 3 years, and /pol/ for 1 and some months. The settlers of Tyguria first struck the Earth in early August and
since then the city has been growing at a decent pace, yet we are in dire need of helping hands to sustain the population
and grow it to new heights.

Question: What is Civcraft?
"civcraft is a unique minecraft server with several mods in place that practically make it another game all together.
It is a server for political ideologies and nation-building. Due to resource scarcity and changed growth mechanics, living
as a lone wolf is near impossible. Civcraft has really only 2 rules; No doxing, no hacking (includes x-ray). Everything
else from legal matters to a method of banishment called 'prison pearl' is done by the playerbase in game. This has
created huge conflicts standoffs and even world wars in the past, resulting in the loss of ten of thousands of diamonds
and accounts being banished to the end for considerable amounts of time. Unlike most servers, civcraft does not reset
making resource harvesting and reinforced builds a permanent fixture."

About Citadel: This is a mod used to reinforce your e-legos. At the cost of 1 smoothstone,
iron or diamond you can reinforce a block which will not be removed until it breaks 25, 250 and 1800 times
respectively.

About Prison pearl: When you kill somebody with an enderpearl in your hotbar they are effectively banished
to the end. You can take this pearl and put it in a chest with coal inside to keep them in the end at the cost
of 8 coal per day. These chests are usually surrounded by diamond reinforced obsidian, referred to as vaults.
A player can be freed of course, but this typically requires negotiating terms of repayment or a vault break. If you
commit crimes on the way to /pol/ynesia (griefing, murder, taking crops without replanting) expect to find yourself
'pearled'.

About realistic biomes: simply put -certain crops only grows in certain biomes and makes crops grow at augmented
rates.

About Jukealert: reinforced jukeboxes and noteblocks act as both CCTVS and recording devices, logging actions
of players in the area. Referred to as snitches, they prevent people from getting away with grief and theft and
allow you to keep an eye on your property without actually being there.

They're meme faction servers with no perminence. Civcraft has only reset once, this allows for sustained cultures and
more well permeated communities and ideologies that thusly make the game more fun and interesting.

This is a community/board project that is not in anyway promoting Minecraft (Fuck Mojang). In fact this is essentially
a glorified "Hey guys come play DND in Teamspeak with me" thread if anything and is thusly on-topic and within the rules.

I'd suggest a minimap mod (Journeymap and Voxelmap being the most frequently used) and Optifine as essential modifications.
I'd suggest using the Forge version of them.

The action did not go without catching a TON of flack mind you. It was enough so that the admins stepped back and would hardly even discuss community issues for a good year after.

Also, I hadn't heard anything about any articles being written about it. I know Daily Dot wrote a hilariously inaccurate article much later about rape in civcraft, but the community just pointed and laughed at it. If doxxing did occur, I'm fairly certain the people in question were also banned for it, considering that is EXPLICITLY against the rules.

There's /v/, which is dead and revived way far away. /v/ is now called Tazmily and is the head of a country called the Lux Federation comprising of irrelevent territories to /pol/'s south east. North of us are a whole mess of Redditors, we don't like interacting with a lot of them. To our east are a bunch of Redditor and miscellaneous forum countries some of which are our allies. We're also allied with the biggest city on the server called Mt Augusta which has a lot of Redditors but they're the faggy cross-siter kind.

CIAn I haven't checked on in a while, the leader there shitposts on the /civ/ board.
/a/ recruitment threads get deleted within 5 minutes every time they're posted for some fucking reason.
/int/is was too close and too connected to /v/iridian, another dead town, eventually internal politics caused it to dwindle.
Viridian and its sister town Versailles could have lived but their population fizzled out as well due to neglect.

Well, lets see:

Titan died due to slow decay of its playerbase as they lost interest in bringing in new people, and instead focused on what community they already had. Before this decay though, Titan had managed to conquer massive amounts of territory and were the primary innovators of what is now standard defensive practice for world-power nations: ringed vaults. This became a point of contest though, and with Titan's leadership allowing invaders from a different server to set up shop in their city, a large coalition of other states formed together and declared war. For 3 months there was literally non-stop fighting and sieges. Titan was holding out and looking to be on the way to a victory until its leader, HanTzu, was pearled by an infiltrator and taken away deep behind enemy lines. At that point, the invaders that remained moved to a new location and began to form their own nation independent of Titan: Libertas (later to become Nox). Most of the remaining true citizens of Titan either fled into exile or were taken into slavery by the interventionist coalition referred to as the "World Police."

/int/is died for a number of reasons, but the two main ones being poor leadership and an eventual annexation by neighboring /v/iridian (the /v/ town of its time). They had something of a last hurrah trying to fight back against the annexing forces, but eventually failed. Some submitted to the new rule, but most fled to distant parts of the map. There are talks of a revival by a new generation of /int/ goers who are looking to do with more raiding-like activity (which is what /int/is was mostly doing anyways), but directed against foreign nations more than other Chan towns.

/a/kihabara, while previously having been among the most industrious of any of the Chan nations, encountered major problems recruiting. The mods on /a/ are far more strict when it comes to community project threads like this, so bringing in new people for them was almost entirely reliant on those from other nation’s recruitment that decided they fit more among weebs than wherever they were actually coming from. It still has some members that are focused on certain ongoing builds.

/k/ompound was one of the first nations to be born into what was at the time a major confederacy of Chan nations known collectively as Chanada. Prior to their arrival, certain rules had been set so as to determine voting power based on a nation being able to meet certain requirements (wealth, population, and defenses). They took a very long time (mostly out of their own incompetence mind you) to meet these requirements for full representation, and grew spiteful of the union. Additionally, there was consistent conflict between them and Spainland (capital being New Madrid) to their north, as well as /v/ersailles (second /v/ town) and later Tazmilly (the successor state of /v/ersailles after it moved east). Eventually they decided they had enough and went nuclear. Planted TNT under their city and under Spainland to blow it all to hell. Travelled then to Tazmilly and attempted to raze it as well, but were nearly all pearled in the process. They then retreated from the community and cursed anyone who would remain. There are a few people still left from that nation, but most have moved into /pol/ proper by now.

/cia/n never really got off the ground in the first place, largely because the guy who founded it didn’t know what he wanted to make of it. /cia/ and /bane/ were not really conducive boards for national communities, thus he began to turn to less desirable sources for new players. Eventually the town was griefed to hell and back, and few wanted to take the time to salvage it. The leader still is around to shitpost regularly though.

The admins are very hands-off, events are held by players for players. Usually the major events that happen around the world are wars or festivals, not much has gone on recently.
A few weeks back in preparation for sharding the server (which they didn't go through with) the admins held an event for the first time since before the end of the first map where special mobs were set to spawn and it was eternal night but that's about it for admin events.

Most of the projects right now are devoted towards getting infrastructure and resources into shape so we can focus on bigger fish. One thing that is currently being discussed is expanding a major underground fortress for our assorted dwarven needs. We'll be in discussion with the other board towns soon enough too and we'll see if there are plans for how we'll handle some of the ongoing political problems, specifically a few less-than-favorable characters setting up shop on our borders.
