Conflicted,
Angry,
Fractured.
Not much else could describe the state of the universe. Centuries have passed since the last Galactic war, and the result was simply a void of chaos. Individual Planet-States rose and fell daily, regimes took power and lost it, entire civilizations were lost without so much as a glance to their downfall. No great power holds the sectors together, Hutt Cartels rule the space lanes, and ‘war’ is no longer regarded as anything but daily life to the lower classes.
-
You are Tylus Adriaanse. A force sensitive human from the Outer-Rim planet of Drascent – A militaristic Hutt planet that gains its fortunes from the scavenging of deserted planets: Making you quite valuable to Doja Bogga Grella, reigning patriarch, as your nascent recognition of the force allows you to recognize force-imbued relics, often some of the most valuable treasures.

In exchange for relative freedom from the usual slavery the huts place upon your kind, you’ve been conscripted into the Treasury Expedition Force, composed of 20 soldiers of various races with you at the commanding helm.
-
“Approximately 5 minutes until we impact the surface of Moraband. Ready your gear.” The Ship’s AI cut to static. Running a hand over your helm, a simple black ceramic wrap with an in-built air filter, you contemplate the sight before you. Moraband was little more than a bright red wasteland, dotted by mountains and expansive calderas, pitch black rocks and crimson sand abundant. As the ship neared the surface, claxons screamed as the target was found – massive worn monoliths nestled in a valley between two massive mountain ranges – The fabled Valley of the Si’Tan.

The light thud of the ship’s landing knocked you out of your thoughts, your subordinates scrambled to get organized as the cargo bay opens, streaming out in 4 lines of 5 the soldiers jog out, you following behind with an ominous knot in your gut. Before you is a seemingly endless line of ruined stone edifices, designs apparently etched into their surfaces but worn to the point of being indecipherable.
But what truly peaked your interests are the three monoliths the ship originally located, previously unregistered tombs. The three stood in a triangular formation, each on standing at a slight angle as to look over the valley. Behind each rose ornate entrances into the mountains, large steps leading to the sealed entrances, with the exception of one whos doors seemed to have cracked open along one side.
Your soldiers stand at the ready, shifting uncomfortably in the dry heat of the desert
Votes are a simple majority, no true way to prevent same-fagging but please attempt to refrain from it. Votes will be decided 5-10 minutes after each vote, and I’ll update as soon as possible.

On another note, questions won’t be considered actions, if you have a question just ask it and I’ll answer if I can.

You click on the intercom on your helmet, "Move forward, get to the base of the monoliths." Your voice crackles to your regiment.

They march forward, the twisting sands obscuring much of the valley around you in a constant gust of wind, sand grits in the nooks of your armor.

The statues before you are as ruined by sand as anything you see, though much of it seems much newer than the rest. The first statue, on your immediate left, is a very tall figure in ancient armor, elongated spikes stand on large shoulder pads, and something resembling a slotted piece of stone sits as a mask on the strangely lanky humanoid's length.

The next, towards your front, stands in a much more grandiose fashion, long flowing robes of stone cascade downwards, a wrinkled and pocked face sits underneath the hood.

And finally on the right, a simpler but far more imposing figure stands. The hilt of an ancient light saber hangs from an armored grip, a body covered head and toe with onyx stone, clearly representing armor that must have been several inches thick.

Tie Breaker needed
>>
>>43814764

Could we get an inventory list? Rough list of our own abilities, that of our platoon etc?

Ill change to force

>>43814762
>>
>>43814825
What are our skills or is that chosen as we progress in this thread? Also tie breaker?
>>
>>43814875
The dice didn't come through, please don't think I don't know what a tie breaker is.
>>
>>43814843
Sure.

You, and your unit are equipped in basic combat gear. Blasters good for mid-ranged combat, light medical gear meant for sustaining rather than healing, radio-based communication for short-range contact, and longer range contact through hyper-coms.

You are combat trained, moreso than your crew due to your position, and your force sensitivity is untrained, so at best it may give you an advantage in overly fatal situations.
>>
>>43814875
Skills will be decided later on, currently you're on par with an lightly experienced military commander for all intents and purposes.

>>43814825

Also, Force Communion wins so writing that up now.
>>
>>43814933
Your unit spreads out in a protective formation as you sit yourself down on one of the smoother surfaces beneath the monoliths. Hoping that some kind of indication of what lies in the tomb will be revealed by communing with the force, you start to pull on the one strange edge of your mind that has linked your senses to the energies around you.

What usually comes as a simple intuition or hunch, comes as a flood of sensation as you breach the barrier of the force. Coldness sears through your veins, a bizarre sensation of anger arises. A vision of hundreds of figures battling with scarlet lightsabers, falling to eachother's blade till nothing is left besides one hooded, solitary figure.

The scene shifts, a man standing on a floating platform, regal. He raises his aged hands, the lights shut off, screams are heard, a cackle emanates form the once kind ruler.

Another change - a man, padded in the armor of the monolith - an angry muffled scream of rage as he attempts to move in his new form.

The vision crumbles, all that's left is an expansive darkness, the armored man standing before you. He gestures to look behind him, a teeming city appears, he moves his arm, the city is in ruins. "Go." A single muffled command emanates from his helmet.

...

"Sir, sir!" One of your soldiers is shaking you, sweat beads your face underneath your helm, your body sprawled on the stone. You stand, shaking off the feelings, calming your subordinate down.

The statue on your right seems much clearer now, after seeing the man in the flesh the worn details jump to your mind, you shiver slightly but stand resolved in your mission.

B.) Enter the tomb with your soldiers.
C.) Explore surrounding entrances.

"Men, move forward." You command over the communication network. Still fuzzy from the prior visions, you shake your head. Beginning the march from the base of the monoliths your regiment follows you up the steps to the central tomb, that of the hooded monolith.

Oddly enough, it seems that the steps leading up to the entrance are completely void of the sand, their brownish red brilliance making them seem as if they were carved out of the mountain only months ago rather than the centuries since it was built. You place a hand on the cracked hole in the doorway, the edges seem smooth, rather than the beaten rough edges of an explosion or forced entry, it seems cut through, like a diamond knife through glass.

One by one you and your soldiers press through, inside the tomb is a pitch darkness, illuminated only by the lights on the ends of your respective blasters. The air is moist unlike that of the desert outside, You focus your light down the tunnel ahead of you, statues matching that of the monolith outside sit at either side of the tunnel, torch holders with coals sit in their grasps.

it is clear someone has been in here, very recently by the slight redness of the coals. You alert your regiment to that fact, an almost palpable sense of tension spreads, the information you were given about these tombs made them sound like you'd be the first to enter - clearly the Hutts were misinformed. Steadily your group marches in a double file line down the corridor, the light of the entrance fading quickly till it is no longer in sight. Your senses feel alive, an odd sense of exhilaration courses through you, you feel powerful in an odd way.

The corridors widens suddenly, opening into a circular atrium with 4 doorways. One of which is crowded with rubble, the others seemingly nondescript from one another. Light echoes emanate from the center passageway, too far away to accurately understand their origins.

"Split into five groups of four." The soldiers rush to follow your command, you signal the closest group to stay with you, one group attempts to clear away the rubble of the blocked passageway, and the rest journey down the other passages.

You examine the murals on the walls around you, not very elaborate at heart they seems to be more akin to hieroglyphics than actual art, long sprawling script in a brutal looking language stretches across the small tiles, several depictions of the hooded man appear near the doorways. In different states of dress. On the left, he wears a regal blue robe, denoting you'd assume some sort of royalty or class. The right passageway depicted him in a standard grey suit, something the political humans on your homeworld often wore, and in the center, the same hooded black cloak you were quickly becoming accustomed to.

Reports began ringing in from the groups sent to investigate.

"Left mos tunnel reporting - Nothing here but bones, unidentified species of origin, some human, some twilek, seems to be a trash ground, over." The microphone hissed off

"Rightmost tunnel reporting sir, some kind of storage for food, some of it is fresh. Water supply runs through, over."

You patiently awaited a response as the teams were called back, still no response form the center.

The others returned, static awaited your calls to the central group.

A.) Move forward to the central tunnel witht he remaining 16 soldiers.
B.) Focus manpower on clearing the rubble from the fourth tunnel.
C.) GO to the supplies room and rest,
D.) Other (write-in)
