So looking at Kaleb Daark's stats and profile. I'm wondering where I can find the information on what the runes on his armor do since the Warhammer Battle Magic pdf on Megaupload appears to be from a different edition.
>It's useless because it's literally a third of the available data.
No, one-third of available data is something we don't know. We know it is 1/3 sources of data, but the sample size for another one of the sources is minute because there are relatively few Games Workshop stores in comparison to FLGS.
The only legitimate skew is online sales from GW.
>They're not GWs competitors you turd, it's star wars merchandise selling well around the release of the only decent star wars sequel. Of course it's going to do well, stocks in a company that produced nothing but silicon casts of mark hamiltons ball sack would perform better than most companies on the market at this point.
That's nice. But literally every major Games Workshop competitor on the miniature market has their stocks on the rise, not just FFG (who produce a lot more than Star Wars anyway). By contrast, Games Workshop value only slides. When stock market experts are calling Games Workshop stock toxic (meaning "you will not see a return on your investment no matter what they do, we bet our reputation on it"), you know they are failing.
>>47574980
Who has called it toxic?
Regardless, I still plan to buy enough to net myself a board of directors seat if I ever win the lotto.
>>47574868
>Is that an intentional joke on the old lady who called "Mark Hamilton" hot while Mark Hamill was disguised as a neoTrooper interviewing her?
I knew I got the meme from somewhere but couldn't place it.
>>47574980
>The only legitimate skew is online sales from GW.
As well as online sales from brick and mortar GW stores, who deal in bits. It is still but a third of the data and is almost useless because there's no way to draw a conclusion from it.
>you know they are failing.
Gw failing does not equate to 40k no longer being the top game in murica, gw was failing long before x-wing hit the scene and will be failing long after it collapses. Using it as evidence is this case makes it seem like you just hate GW.
>>47574946
That page was published in 1986 (http://realmofchaos80s.blog (common dog name).com/2013/01/the-malignancy-of-malal-solving-mystery.html?m=1) so you're looking for second edition which was released in 1985. Third came out in 1987, so that's too late.
Don't know where to find that, sorry. But I can let you know what you're looking for.
>>47575079
Considering that's the only data we will ever have your insistence that we just always assume Games Workshop is top dog and 40k the top game is just as stupid as someone saying it for sure isn't.
The only true statement is "We don't know, but the only data that will ever be available indicates X-Wing is on top."
>>47574909
That shadow texture makes it look like her tits were covered in mud at some point.
>>47575073
The best time to invest would have been in 2010, pre apocalypse. At some point GW is going to get smart and begin whoring out fantasys IP to other video game companies (they can make vermintide variants every year for the next sixteen years for example) and the stock might actually be worth something.
>>47575125
My insistence is that you not assume a woman is thin just because the head shot she provided isn't particularly chubby.
>The only true statement is "We don't know, but the only data that will ever be available indicates X-Wing is on top in terms of sales for north america in brick and mortar friendly local gaming stores."
Fixed that for you.
>>47575199
>That shadow texture makes it look like her tits were covered in mud at some point.
Well, Dracula slept in a coffin filled with transylvanian soil.
So it's not far fetched.
>>47575301
I have no problem with some dirty vampire tits.
>>47575199
I think that's mottled flesh and veiny boobs.
Pale people look like that when they get flushed. Pic semi related, can't find a decent example but you can kind of see it here.
>>47575346
Oh I know what it was supposed to be it just seemed like it missed the mark.
Pale goth tits with that single blue vein are hot as fuck by the way, more so if she's got the red lipstick to match.
What's the best way to put together a 9th Age VC army?
Unbound or a specific bloodline?
What models are not worth taking now?
https://youtu.be/0DkfMc3mpwQ
Lore in a minute on Warhammer.
Outriders or pistoliers for my Empire lads? I'm leaning towards outriders for aesthetic and BS4 reasons.
How is Total Warhammer?
>>47577076
Bretty good, I've been failing repeatedly at the campaign and had to set it on ezmodo to learn more, but it's still fun.
(My first Total War ever.)
>>47577076
Single player is fun. Still waiting on my friends to pick it up for MP.
>>47577076
I've been playing TW since Med2 (2006), and think this is the best one they've ever produced.
>>47577076
>>47577901
>>47577926
Also, Karl Franz on Deathclaw with a bound fireball ring is fucking amazing.
Between him and my bright wizard it made the Blackfire Pass 2: Orclectric Boogaloo mission for Ghal Maraz surprisingly simple.
(Also having a shitton of spearmen and halberdiers helped against the giant and spider.)
Enjoy the new Bretonnia models
>>47577901
>>47577926
Speaking of which, do the goblin cavalry units count as "Larger Units" for the bonus of spears and Halberds?
Or is it just cavalry, trolls, mega crypt-ghouls, and giants etc?
>>47578007
Is it viable to have an Empire army with mostly hand-gunners and artillery? I think I can do melee-mulcher armies with most races, but the Empire has the artillery and gunners, so I'd like to use that.
If only our other Legendary Lord was a Master Engineer...
>>47577926
We'll have to see how MP goes. Currently top two spots are held by Medieval 2 and Napoleon. I can't really factor Medieval 1 in because its a bitch to get going. Other than that, I'm liking this way more than any of the other ones.
>>47578110
Depends what you mean by that. If you mean over 50% ranged, no way. Fast cavalry will wreck you. If you mean sitting back with Hellfires and siege tanks, some handguns and a strong line in front of them, then yes, that's my normal strat. You can smash many armies bad before they even reach you.
>>47578010
Best girl. Well, almost.
Excuse me /tg/. If Valkia is a Daemon Princess then why does she function like a Chaos Lord instead of a Daemon Prince?
>>47578058
Hell if I know. I can't imagine spears don't do better against any type of cavalry, but I haven't figured out the intricacies yet.
Goblin cavalry definitely won't beat a spear unit from the front, though, so there's that.
>>47578285
Nero is nice too
>>47578312
Probably because she isn't a daemon princess, she just got a makeover from Khorne.
>>47578110
Replying sorta to the wrong person but my noobish ass uses maybe just under 1/4 to 1/3rd ranged on empire and dwarfs.
Generally you'll want to protect ranged with a mix of different types of Melee.
Usually at least Shielded Spearmen or (Unshielded) Halberdiers to keep cavalry off of them.
Halberdiers being better against shock and "Stuck in" Melee cavalry and shilded spearmen doing better against shooty skirmish cavalry. (Keep some Handgunners or Crossbowmen around your artillery too to make sure you don't have to chase down the missile cavalry with said spearmen.
Otherwise keep ranged up front but switch the lines so melee is up front when the enemy gets too close.
>>47578312
Are there daemon prince rules in Fantasy? I don't really focus on Chaos too much.
>>47578410
Obviously. The original Daemon Prince model was a fantasy one.
>>47578312
She's technically not a Daemon.
Khorne screamed her back to life and mutated her head, legs, and back.
Can anyone with a Gnoblar and a goblin model in a similar posture post them next to each other for scale?
>>47578395
What game is she from?
>>47578539
>Khorne screamed her back to life and mutated her head, legs, and back.
Pregnant Khorne?

>>47581037
No problem, I have to get around to playing it myself.
>>47578010
New rumors?
Right now I'm trying to decide on some Orcs.
The guy is offering 81 of the cool hand weapon and shield boys and 59 of the crappy old monopose arrer boys for $180.
Thoughts?
I get that that's really cheap compared to buying new, but these are mostly older models.
I could likely get them cheaper individually but I'm not likely to find them for the price I want in as large of a lot as he's got.
And I love green tides.
>>47586264
Hard to say. I'd say you should only buy them if you think it's likely you'll paint them.
>>47577076
Pretty good.
Trying to decide on an army to start for 9th Age. Either O&G, Beastmen or Vampire Covens. Anyone got a good breakdown of the factions? I'm totally new to WHFB.
>>47586433
Know any of the lore?
OnG are basically Orks from 40k but easier to deal with in that they regularly make deals and fight as mercenaries and most of them are afraid to die.
They're like an entire faction of roid raging dick as thieves.
There's enough in the early fluff to suggest females/mating and enough in the later fluff to suggest spores.
So you can have Orc cities with little orc babies in your own personal head canon if you'd like.
Beastmen are gross humans mutated by chaos powers into goat people that smear shit on everything, hate normies (REEEEEEEEEE), and will kill/rape anyone stepping 10 feet into the woods.
Vampire Counts are essentially what you play if you like your heroes being self inserts.
The majority of your soldiers are mindless skeletons and zombies that are controlled by your little vampire lord or necromancer alone.
You can be anything from an old world aristocrat that wants to live in relative peace with humans to a life-hating bat-monster.
>>47586264
I wouldn't buy the monopose guys. But that's just me.
>>47586433
Of the 3, greenskins are the more varied and with more shooting and artillery, still rely on numbers despite their strength and toughness due to leadership and generally low armour saves.
Beastmen are primitive, relatively poorly armored, like orcs, but more than sheer numbers they can make use of monsters, minotaurs and ambushing tactics to hammer the enemy. Little shooting.
Vampires rely more than anyone else on their heroes, undead troops in general, even the elites, can prove incapable of dealing the needed amount of damage to come out of combat not simply victorious, but in combat shape for more, monsters, ethereal and flying units on top of strong magic provide additional threats and tactical flexibility. Practically no shooting.
>>47586103
We're not going to get warhammer fantasy rumors for a very long time, if not forever; if you want generally fantasy rumors, GW will soon release elves-dryads hybrid models and a goddess of life riding a giant beetle.
>>47586103
Old World is going to be brought back as a setting within one of the realms.
>>47586503
Just the basics, but since I'm getting into 9th Age and not WHFB specifically, I don't really care about the lore just yet. I'm more about how the models look and how fun they are to play on the table.
>>47586581
Cool thanks, O&G sound pretty fun. Plus I hate painting normal flesh, so that helps.
>>47586637
Fake and gay
What was the slann great plan?
>>47589484
The Old Ones plan. Which was their To Do list and notes on the recipes that made the various races.
>>47590014
I thought they were trying to close polar gates or something.
Need the last Army Book FAQs/Erratas, no luck searching the links in op
>>47589484
Where can I get high quality Araby and Cathay style miniatures?
>>47589484
Personally I think the plan was to buy the Old Ones time while they fled to a dimension far from Chaos. That's why the had to create various races of varying abilities in an attempt to find one that could hold back the tide.
>>47575346
>>47576093
>it just seemed like it missed the mark.
Actually, they hit the mark for bloodless corpse-flesh quite well.
Vampires are corpses after all.
>>47574843
>you will never suckle on her ice cold titties
>>47590389
Nope.
Their plan regarding that was helping the Elves make the Vortex. Lileath's full-retard plan to destroy it made them realize that the Old Ones plan was unachievable.
https://youtu.be/SaW-chEUoLs
Yatzee jokes about Warhammer.
>>47590987
Vampires have blood, and don't count as corpses. Just undead.
They even have heartbeats.
>>47591100
Liber Necris and several army books says they can create the illusion of life, but that it takes concentration.
I assume that the blood she's using is better spent to power herself for combat over looking pretty.
Quick question from a WHFB newb:
In WHFB 8e (and also 9e, if it uses the same movement setup), how much would break if wheeling were removed and you just said "you can pivot around the center once during your movement" - fast cav and skirmishers and whatnot would be able to pivot as much as they want, more or less?
I ask because I play on Roll20 and wheeling is way slower and more obnoxious than simply pivoting, but I don't want to make such a change without asking people who actually know shit about the game.
>>47591384
The purpose of wheeling is to give a more realistic version of movement, and to punish large units (in theory) by making them REALLY have to pay attention to where the terrain is and what going near it will do to limit their actions (you don't march 10,000 men into town, you fight mostly in the field nearby).
But its not game breaking to change it. In 9th even less so because there is a max unit size, unlike 8e where you can have two small units and a single fuckmassive horde.

Overall I'll have to go with Mark of Chaos (and the expansion's trailer), but any parts of WAR featuring orcs is a strong contender.
An orc just smashing into the rooftops in the background, the one repeatedly bashing the humie's head into the steps, the one hyping himself up for the catapult launch... it's pure love.
And that marauder made me roll one at launch.

How would you go about creating an Arabyan Mystic class for WFRP 2e?
I'm thinking a 3-tier career based somewhat on the Kislevite hag, at least as far as sharing its casting methods goes.
What about spells? Obviously you have flying carpets, summoning djinni to do combat, something sun-related to blind or burn a foe, maybe a mirage spell? Should there be a high level spell where you summon a dijinni to grant a wish (to the best of its abilities and benevolence - let's say it rolls on a chart as to how much of a dick it is)?
What about letting it be an alternate way to access the Dark Lore (Necromancy) path instead of Spirit Lore (Araby)?
>>47597355
>Arabyan Mystic
By using the Arabyian human stats and the Mystic, Occultist or Cultist career.
WHFRP is awesome like that.
>>47597289
short, Sweet, to the point. I like these kinds of comics, THanks for sharing Grope.
>>47597355
Howzabout this(disclaimer, know very little about araby)
Arabyan mystics aren't like normal magic users, in that they don't use traditional spells. Instead, they bind magic to objects. For example, they can infuse a magic carpet to allow it to fly, enchant a ring to give it's wearer herculean strength, ect.
On the flip side, modifying objects like this? Isn't permanent. A lamp with a genie in it can only be used once. A flying carpet might get three or four go's before it runs out of power. Rings might only work for a certain time span, ect.
This'd fit with actual arabic legend where, for the most part, it was the items that were magic, not the people.

>>47596361
Seraphon is malekith's dragoness name though, but I guess it's nice they at least tried to find a serpentine name that conveys an angelic theme.
I don't mind as long as that is one of the names the other races call them, rather than the one they use themselves.
I still prefer the fancreated name of itzatecah.

Everything you said is 100% accurate. Warhammer rocks because they take NOT!Arabia and NOT!Italy, etc, and build on it.

....But thats exactly Araby's schtick. Toeing the line and making deals.
There is tons of scattered fluff and rules throughout WHFRP, if you're willing to dig. Scimitar rules in the Armoury, A scattering of magic in the Realsm of sorcery, etc etc. You sadly just gotta dig. I once heard Araby and the southlands were the next book before 2nd got canned.

As an aside, I always thought it interesting that the college of Light uses a lot of 'Nehekharan' imagery. It might be fun to try to justify that within the background.
And given Hysh's ability to banish/bind daemons, perhaps an altered Light lore would be appropriate for some Arabyan mages.

Storm of magic suggests that a great deal of spells, rituals, titles and symbols come from the "great south" rather than ulthuan.
It may have to do with the nature of the wind: comparatively to the others it is very difficult to harness as it is more fleeting, it is for that reason that some spells of the lore of light require numerous mages or strenghten with the presence of other mages, you will also see, in fact, that in many concept arts light mages are shown with a retinue that could help prepare the ritual on top of the proper mage; this is one of the possible meanings of the light college rune meaning light is a resultant of cohoperation and a higher, more refined form of magic, but it could be just arrogance on the college's part.
returning on the subject anyway, since humans are differently capable at magic than the elvesm perhaps the last ones didn't have enough practice and experience to teach humans how to compensate with teamwork what the elves could do naturally so the order was left half-finished and left on its own to research and grow its field of magic; the southlands are closer to the equator, light is stronger and the order will have had interest in the sun-god of the lost civilization between the sand and went there to reverse engineer what they could, plainly copying manuscripts and inscriptions before getting off the skeletons' desertic lawn.I find it unlikely that the nehekarian would have shared their knowledge willingly

>muh stock market
Games Workshop is one of the only publicly traded companies involved in wargaming.
The share market isn't some magic looking glass into the inner workings of a company. It's based entirely off publicly available knowledge and consumer volatility. A company's share price could be in freefall, only for them to post their best year in decades. Similarly a company with ridiculous stock growth isn't necessarily successful. Just look at the dot com bubble, theGlobe.com in particular.
>>47601142
However, it must be said that generally speaking a company's stock is a measure of how confident people are in its success. That generally goes along with its actual success.
>>47601239
Yes, but that's always based on information anyone can find out themselves. The stock market is not indicative of anything in its own right
>>47601267
Not necessarily, no, but, as I said earlier, it is generally a good indicator.
>>47596414
I really wish the copyright meme would die, but the GW fanbase is both ignorant and arrogant of its supposed intelligence, so I guess it's hopeless.
It's kind of like how for years it was spouted that specialist games did wonderful and how despite that GW killed them because they were taking sales away from 40k or Fantasy. Don't try and question the logic of that assertion, GW is just dumb. Lo and behold Priestly reveals that it's because there was an overprinting of foreign copies that nearly bankrupted the company and caused the sales division to shit itself in fear and any desire for specialist games on their part to dry up.
More and more it's seeming like it's GW attempt to put their own spin on things just as others such as Privateer Press and various gaming companies have done. Bloodbowl has shown they have no problem using Dwarf, Elf, or Orc.
>>47596685
>>47597545
Because those names by themselves either mean nothing or in the case of Urki and Grobi, no one really knows or gives a shit, especially if you compare Grobi to Grot.
Dawi, Asur, Druchii, and Asrai are what four relatively monolithic factions in Fantasy called themselves. GW has shown that AoS is composed of many smaller factions.
>>47591133

>>47595610
>no Khorne

>>47602626
Overprinting is dumb.
Wizards of the Coast nearly killed Magic the Gathering by overprinting Fallen Empires and Homelands. They didn't fucking cancel Magic over it. They fixed the problem.
>>47602896
I don't recall anything about the overprinting of Fallen Empires or Homelands proving a credible risk to WotC. Plus Magic was their biggest brand at the time, meaning that cancelling it just wouldn't be feasible.
In contrast GW already had two profitable lines in 40k and Fantasy. As far as the sales division was probably concerned, they didn't really need to bother with specialist games.
At any rate that is seemingly the true reason why for a period of time GW was scared to touch specialist games. Not the asinine excuse that they were still making money, just not from what they wanted to make money from. How the fuck anyone ever bought that line of horseshit in the first place is beyond me. A company would not give a shit were it was making money from as long as it was making money.
>>47603302
It was still a new game at the time and they flooded the market with it. When I got into Magic, which was in the late 90s (FE was released in 94), stores still had loads of it and were selling it for dirt cheap. This is in addition to the fact that every good card in the set is at common, which is great for players, but terrible for people trying to actually sell it. It was a financial disaster, which they quickly worked to fix in the next release.
>>47603680
I was aware that Homelands was poorly received.
At any rate, WotC probably didn't have much choice but to try and fix it. However some people at GW probably thought that the company could get by fine without specialist games and they were right to an extent. Not trying to say that what they did was the right decision, but I can kind of understand why they just doubled down on the safe options of 40k and Fantasy.
>>47603680
I worded it kind of vaguely, but what I was getting at was I got into Magic just under half a decade after Fallen Empires was released. Stores were nearly giving it away. To this day it isn't relatively expensive to buy sealed Fallen Empires. More disasters like that would absolutely have sunk the game.
Incidentally, the set was a success as far as lore and even card design goes. But it sure wasn't "collectible".

One answer: DOOMBULL.
You know who can field a DOOMBULL? Beastmen, that's who. Do you want to tear down the works of humanity? Do you despise civilization? Do you want to watch the world burn?
DOOMBULL will be there to help you do it. Watch as he gets on the mino-bus and rolls over infantry and cavalry alike. See him route pointy-earred pretty boys with ease. Behold as he drinks the blood of his enemies and feasts on the flesh of those fallen before him.
Sounds too good to be true? Lies! DOOMBULL can also wear a wizard hat and ride a magic carpet allowing him to do what no one believed could be done.
Help make the old world great again. Vote for DOOMBULL! DOOMBULL! DOOMBULL!
>>47586433
I take it you only care about gameplay.
O&G are also really varied - with the different greenskin races you pretty much get multiple factions in one and you can play themed armies if you want. You get more selection than with any other army except maybe Empire -you get infantry, some elite infantry, different sorts of cavalry, monsters and monstrous infantry, ok to good artillery and magic.
O&G horde up really well. You can field really some of the cheapest units in the game but also have access to some more hard-hitting ones.
Downsides are that even the more elite units and character models never get as killy as in true elite armies as chaos. You also have poor to average leadership, meaning parts of your army might flee easily.
Beastmen have different playstyles but the main one seems to be around a highlty mobile melee guerrilla force.
You can put pretty much every unit in ambush and get an improved ambush on all units if you take a beast lord as general. Most of your army is relatively slow to start with as most will consist of infantry and chariot support but you can get lot's of speed buffs. You can travers all forests without penalty, most units get boni on their charge moves if they attack enemies in the flank/rear. You get a buff wagon and a totem that ups charge speed. Combined with their good and cheap chaff/sacrifical units you should be able to dictate the course of the battle if done right.
Beastmen are relatively cheap point-wise but punch above their point cost due to a global rule allowing them rerolls on to hit rolls. They have next to now armour and only their toughness as protection so many units will go down quickly glass-cannon style (esp minotaurs).
You also get lot's of big nasties and chariots.
Someone made fun of my all skeleton army because I have no zombies and because I have my general on a zombie dragon.
>Fluff Army Feels
>>47611281
Beastmen have leadership issues as well, which is a larger problem for them as for some other low leadership armies as they will want to split their army up to ambush and surround the enemy meaning lot's of models will not profit from the generals leadership bubble.
Beasts have next to no shooting. You get short ranged bows and throwing weapons, a monster with a short ranged breath weapon and a monster that functions a stone thrower (literally).

>>47611281
Vampires are solid. That is pretty mch their gameplay. You are pretty much immun to all leadership based rules, you will never flee from anything but might loose additional models after loosing a fight.
You get lot's of really cheap really bad units next to lot's of mediocre to good units and some of the most powerfull character models in the game (vampires). What those vampires do exactly depends on if and what bloodline you choose. You get fighty, MAGIC!! and different flavour of support vampires. You also get plenty of monsters, (pretty much) no shooting.
You get fucking powerfull support magic. You can revive everything in the army and get lot's of magic to improve your not-so-good troops. The army has lot's of support pieces and powers/items to further improve your troops. You are also the only faction being able to raise new units into battle.
Vamps are also pretty much the only army to get etherial units (KoE got one unit as well) that are really hard to harm except with magic.
Downside..you really aren't all that fast and usually can only march close to your general making flanking/surrounding your enemy harder to pull off. Many of your units aren't all that tough if not boosted by support powers/items/pieces.
You get good chaff but nothing in your army can flee as a charge reaction so redirecting an enemy means loosing that chaff unit. Then again you can always raise new chaff units.

>>47611646
Zombies are the most fluffy for the von Carsteins, the lore specifically points out that Vlad and Mannfred relied heavily on them and that the Corpse Cart is a von Carstein invention.
Necrarchs can get away with it, its not very fluffy for Blood Dragons, Lahmians specifically should almost never use them unless a product of the Raise Dead spell, and the Strigoi should only really be using Ghouls and Dire Wolves because Zombies are a source of food rather than a soldier.

>>47611534
Z does from memory
it's all a super secret club to avoid legal issues, but if you search around on /r/yoyhammer you can find out how to contact him
>>47613756
Depends on your source.
Black Library disagrees with army books, and old canon disagrees with new.
Overall if you take all sources as canon and try to resolve the differences in the way of least resistance...
Arkhan chafes under a dead-end job (no pun intended) with no upwards mobility or options, but has always realized he's in a very good place so he's more like a guy working in a good office job looking out the window and wishing he could just take a flight to Hawaii and never come back. But he's always been 10/10 for Nagash.
Nagash has been a good leader, but one very prone to throwing a complete hissy fit when he doesn't get his way in a manner that's kind of embarrassing for everyone around him. His position is one of self-entitlement, which kind of grates on his Nehekharan subordinates because their entire culture is based on one where he ISN'T entitled to those things and is kind of an illegitimate usurper. But all being said and done he's been good to those on his side, and has been generally forgiving of failure. It helps a great deal that he gives a lot more freedom and respect than his alternative, Settra, gives. Once Nagash ascends to godhood and takes control of the wind of death he's even more of the side to be on because he can literally shoot you full of the magic that keeps you alive and makes you feel good anytime he wants, like Slaanesh+Nurgle with no downsides of becoming numb or gross. Nagash's only actual failures aren't really his own fault, he always has EVERYONE stacked against him and each time he failed was because of an unforseen consequence. Plus one stupid asshole nobody liked anyway going Fishmalk Chaotic Neutral.

Total Warhammer is making me want to work on models again.
My project for getting Neferata and Arkhan riding the same mount here. Turns out you can glue Nef's legs in such a way that you have two pieces so you can paint the inside of the dress that you can just slip back together, I didn't show it here though.
Sawed Arkhan's cape off, but kept his sword on his back through careful angling as you can kind of see. They fit together, his sword is kind of across her lap but I think it looks kind of cute that way. Still not sure who's Abyssal they should be riding, I like Neferata's since the hood looks like a romantic Victorian Christmas sleigh painting, but Arkhan's fits the reins better.
