We play primarily over text on discord but we have voice open on discord for rule questions, general bants, etc.

A Grail War based on the Fate franchise that will utilize Exalted. Masters are to be stated as mortals in character creation, whereas Servants are fully-powered Exalted. Masters are all Magi, of varying quality and expertise, but this means they must all have at least 1 point in Occult at character creation. Other than that, there are no other strict guidelines for your characters.

Really? Not a whole lot, just as long as you have a good grasp on what a magi is and what they do, you should be golden. The grail war is shrouded in mystery even for magi, especially foreign ones, so it is perfectly acceptable (even recommended to some degree) to not be fully in the know. This isn't really a lore wank, in fact I'm purposely avoiding using established content where possible. I encourage you to make up your own family and its history!

From what I've read from GMs, you're far more likely to get an invite if you make a more specific request. Asking for 'anything', no matter how you feel, sounds like you're invested/interested in nothing to a great extent, just lots of things to a very minor extent; which makes you more likely to drop out.

Yeah, sorry! I've actually had like 10 people contact me, but none of them were really a good fit. Nobody panned out for various reasons. One guy invited me to his game, about 2-3 people didn't read the ad and assumed I wanted a group, stuff like that.
Worse than that, there were about three people who showed good interest and I actually put a decent amount of effort into developing a scenario for them (wrote up a setting synopsis, made a map and laid out encounters, things like that), then they either quit after one session or started having really weird complaints about the scenarios.

I've been running a touhou centered homebrew of D&D 3.5 since january with some people from /v/, and now that we have our bearings I'd like to get more people on the group to make things more interesting.
Knowledge of the setting isn't that required as I've been avoiding the games' plot and characters in favor of some much less powered OC to avoid bad characterization of pre-established characters. Plus the game offers different races and classes that could explain complete unawareness of your surroundings.
I do request knowledge of D&D3.5 since the changes, while many, are not really too hard to grasp and most are simplification of the rules. No need to know them by heart, but I already had bad experiences with another player that recently left and I don't want to waste 2 more weeks on character creation alone.

Palladium’s TMNT & Other Strangeness was my first tabletop RPG. My friends and I played the hell out of that game. Several of our campaigns spanned over multiple years. I’ve been away from tabletop for nearly 15 years, but I’d love to get into some adventures filled with mutant animals, ninjas, robots, and beyond!
With this campaign, I’m following in the footsteps of Palladium’s game, except using the Savage Worlds system. The players will create original mutant animals that are not in the vein of furries -- please for the love of God don’t try to bring that into this game! Also, this game is based around the grittier comic books, not the later cartoons/movies. There will be blood sprays, over-the-top violence, “naughty” language, and the very real possibility for permanent injuries or death.
As far as the campaign setting - I’m thinking the mid 1980s in Miami, Florida. Bass-bumping night clubs, neon lights, biker shorts and gold-plated uzis. The police have their hands full with drug trafficking and gang violence at an all-time high. Additionally, a new chapter of the Foot Clan has started to rear it’s ugly head. The campaign will take place in the same "universe" as the original TMNT comics, so some established characters may be encountered.
I’m looking for a few dependable, laid-back, long-term players. If possible, I’d like to do character creation this week. Players new to Savage Worlds are welcome! I’m rather new to the system myself, but it’s not hard at all to learn. We'll use Discord for voice chat and Roll20 for die rolls, character sheets, and maps/tokens.

Really, the easiest thing to do is just set up an additional clock on your PC set to UTC so you can use it when setting times for global stuff.

Ok so slightly related question but is anyone having trouble with skype group calls? I swear to god this shit used to work just fine a couple of months ago but I pretty much missed a session because my client couldnt join an ongoing group call. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling about a dozen times and it still shits up.

Interested in a game that plays it a little loose with 40k's lore. Just enough for some interesting characters and interaction without being absurd.
