Can we have a thread about this game? I am going to be playing it for the first time and I don't really know anything about it and would like to discuss it. I haven't even made my character yet!
I'd appreciate any stories with the system, impressions about the system, artwork, resources, or advice on how to make a fun and/or optimized character and enjoy the game in maximum capacity so it leaves a good impression.

The rulebook claims that there are going to be people who find Anima's rules too simple.
I am left to wonder what kind of people those would be.
>>48114484
I find them quite simple, other than breakage because I never used it.

It looks more complex than d20 but doesn't seem that bad to me so far. Summoning looks convoluted and my GM insists that ki is more convoluted than summoning, and wants me to consider playing a summoner, but I am interested in a wizard with the book of light as his specialty. Not really sure how either works yet, been reading up on wizardry.

Epic boons are fine. Most campaigns won't ever see them.
If you want a short, fun diversion, let your players make level 20s and choose an epic boon. Play out the session against similarly broken NPCs.
Also, casters>martials.
>>48136631
Considering we now have an entire mega for things like this, has anyone actually tried Matt Mercer's Blood Hunter yet? How does it hold up compared to the regular classes? It seems a little (read: cripplingly) angst-ridden from a flavour standpoint, but that's nothing that can't be handwaved in specific settings, and mechanically it seems fine but I'm not particularly well versed in this sort of thing.

What is the most fun way to be an archer in 5e?
>Chaos Reveler
>Creature - Devil Horror
>~ costs 1 less to play for each instant or sorcery card in your graveyard.
>Prowess
>When ~ enters the battlefield discard your hand and draw three cards.
>3/4
So i guess prowess is the new U/R evergreen?
Will U/R prowess become tier 1 standard?
>>48143048
>When ~ enters the battlefield discard your hand and draw three cards.
>draw three cards
Welp modern delver is suddenly a thing again.

This and Sin Prodder is kind of cute
Lack of playable burn or cantrips is kind of damning
I want to run a game where women are the source of all evil.
What setting/system would be best?
>>48140746
I think the setting is /R9K/ and, obviously, GURPS.
Ow that edge, careful anon you'll cut yourself
>>48140746
System is irrelevant
Setting has to have ties with christian mythology and the history of the inquisition, the malleus maleficarum may be a good source for such a game since it can give inspiration for the behavior of daemons and the instruments in the hand of the players to detect and eradicate the evil, if only it wasn't b8

In the last thread questions on the LACAL, elites, and Ursarax were asked, discussion on Ol' Morty and Barbarus accents was made, I got a writefaggotry project in the works, traitor Primarch clown cars usually don't involve Perturabo, Curze, or even Horus strangely enough, the Primarch and legion quizs continue to get odd results, a new ZM scenario was made, discussion on just who was going away once the Crusade was over, and complaints about the Ultras were made plus more in the last thread Comment too long. FIRST FOR ALPHARIUS
What do we think the rules for the lion and Khan will be?
Y'know, I think one reason this game doesn't have as many players is because they like playing a successor chapter, which makes perfect sense to me.
Ok, so the art book is out. Can anyone confirm Nahiri's endgame? Are the Innistradi waifus kill? Also, what the fuck is Sorin encased in?
>>48134173
> Also, what the fuck is Sorin encased in?
Plot. It'll break when Wizards decides they want to release a new Sorin card.

So do any of you buy into the rumor of a Start Collecting!: Slyvaneth? Because if so, I might hold off on buying a slaves to Darkness set. What would they realistically put in a Slyvaneth box?
Here's my thoughts:
BranchWych
Treelord
Dryads
Kurnoth hunters
>his party doesn't listen to forest spirits
What's the matter, anon? Too scared of learning some real wisdom?
>Trusting the fae.
>Ever.
Anon,pls.
They want to kill all humas, is either them or my species.

How stupid do you think we are?
How would we react to the existence of demons?
>>48127343
Eh.
>>48127343
Likely either by screaming KILL IT WITH FIRE! or trying to bone it.
Rip and/or tear.
Ah maille. You can never go wrong with some good ol' chain!
Problem is, most of the time it does not look all too interesting on it's own.

What's the most german setting you can think of?

A pair of dice, the full gurps system but without the flavor text besides descriptions for guns.
No dm needed.

Anything good for us in Eternal Masters?
Nimble Mongoose, Night's Whisper, and Peregrine Drake are the main cards of interest.
I'll post the full downshift in a few minutes. With pictures and everything.
Anyone on American beatdown? I find with the deck that it's missing just a tiny bit of oomph. It can out aggro aggro fine because I have bolts and galvanic blasts and an assload of card draw. But against decks like MBC I completely stall out as they play corrupt and gain enough life to either time the match out or deck me.
