>She disintegrates the party anyways
>Because fuck these muderhobos who broke into my home and taught bad things to my child
>like escaping punishment
Go back to your corner mister!
Two beholders have been seen harassing the peasantry in the city square. They are making everyone self-conscious.

I was thinking more that a sorcerer had summoned a terrified juvenile beholder and imprisoned it to do his bidding, but the naughty step works too.
im not sure much about the behavior of dragons aside from "Moar loots plz".
planning on having a city where theres a grey dragon prowling the area and the players (who are too low level to fight it one on one) have to navigate and find an artifact that was held there before the attack.
Planning on them using some siege weapons to weaken it and take it out.
But what i need help with is, why the hell would a dragon stay in a city it destroyed that has no remaining food in it.
- does a dragon need to eat daily? i know they sit in mountains...

Hidden treasure.
It sends its kobold and human slaves down into the sewers/mines/dungeons to search for this long forgotten civilizations many treasures and it guards this with much jealousy.
Thing is, there is really no treasure, the dragon kinda knows but is to fueled up on his dragon pride to ever give up.
BAM, 10 seconds.

gotta admit, fastest fucking reply I've ever seen
>>46302916
How about: The city is destroyed, but the farmlands around it have grown wild and are full of feral livestock and creatures moved in from the wilderness. So there's actually plenty of food for a dragon to be had just a short flight from the city. Plus the city's got some nice architecture for the dragon to live in, and while there's not too much gold outside the treasury building there are lots of fine works of art to be extracted from the ruins, so it's pretty happy there. Maybe the city even...

Iron Hands and Emperors Children were bros4life before the whole Heresy thing.
We know a lot of Emperors Children stayed loyal - how plausible/not-sue is it that some loyalist ECs would join up with Iron Hands survivors?
Also, how plausible/not-sue is it that this group (blackshields, shattered or whatever) would end up as a chapter of Pretty Iron Hands (TM) in 40k? Obviously of (at least mostly) Iron Hands geneseed, but with a distinct EC influence on their early culture.
>>46301892
PRETTY FLESH IS WEAK.
>>46301892
I'm not really certain what effects such an influence could have besides a tendency towards ergonomics and elegant designs.
So basically Apple Marines. Far less robust but very sleek and clean looking.
>>46301935
Only pretty machines are truly strong, anon.
I got a billion Ork Teeth here. These can be yours if you'd go and fight the "spikey boys" on Orlock-IV.
So how about it?
>>46301759
Now that you mention it, getting a stasis vault and filling it to the brim with Ork teeth would be a fantastic idea.
It completely bypasses the problems with regards to hoarding them, offering you a powerful bargaining chip with an Ork force at an exceptionally low cost.
>>46301805
Not all ork warbands are keen on mercenary work for other races.
>>46301805
You could probably put an ork head on life support and farm it for teeth.
Yo /tg/ the future weaponry OP here and i figured since the last thread went so well I would give this a try. Everyone has seen the Grays and the Xenomorph knock offs. So how about a nice thread giving some ideas anyone can come up with a new race for my and any others who want its setting but the catch is any replies can add a trait or quirk to the race. Hopefully this can create something new. I'll start so this race looks a lot like humans but have very saggy skin and are hairless. They are as advanced as humans and often act noble.
>>46301519
Despite their gene engineers best efforts, the tallest they get is knee height.
>>46301519
Still OP here simply giving a quirk to the race i gave as an example. They have 6 limbs 2 for walking and 4 for manipulating. They are larger than humans but also more fragile. They find physical contact in public disgusting if even done by two consenting members of another race. So let's say a PC tries and shake his "hand" the alien would be disgusted.
>>46301549
They're small then. I suppose if someone beats you to it they are correct.
How would you guys play a character with one arm?
A fighter, a rogue, mage?
What are guys ideas? Cause I'm trying to think of a character concept revolving around a character who lost most of one of their arms
>>46301315
If my character had one arm I'd play a boxer and the BBEG would have to be a master of the Flying Guillotine.
I'm about to start a game where I'm playing a one armed paladin, I'm playing them up as they're not only good hearted but they're just as good as anyone else in a fight, even without two arms.
so they're constantly trying to prove themselves by taking on the toughest enemies and protecting their allies.
roleplay wise, they aren't ashamed of their arm in fact they walk proudly, however they have a weak spot when it comes to failure of any degree
gonna stick around and lurk
>>46301315
A monk who kicks everything.
used to be a prizefighter, lost an arm, TIME TO GET CREATIVE
The world has only humans, it's medieval, and magic is extremely limited. Deity-like figures exist and can be seen, but only in their plane of existence. They're called Lords and are many, each of which has power over an element or a concept. Some Lords are inherently more important and powerful than others (the lord of blood is probably going to be more important than the lord of wisdom). If a lord dies (I'll explain real soon how that happens) then their domain goes to shit. For example, if the lord of blood dies, people all over the world are going to suffer...

Forgot to mention that combat would be pretty asymmetrical, and without the use of magic to augment your fighting capabilities, you'd probably get your shit smacked around easily.
hey, ill give anything a shot if i got a cool DM running it.
And if we can kill one of these gods I'm in
>>46301314
>medieval
Doubt.
Ulrich confirmed for Eldrich Moon's Legendary R/G Werewolf?
>>46300839
Most likely. Whether-or-not his mechanics will be any good is anyone's guess.
And here I was hoping we'd fibally meet Tovolar.
Wish werewolves didn't suck.
What would /tg/ think of a MTG game in the vein of the old Pokemon Trading Card Game for Gameboy.
>>46300334
Those exist. Check steam.
>I don't know how to google things
>>46300363
I know magic duels exists, but if you are a defined character walking around and playing MTG with people on an island trying to win a set of Dual lands from the champions
How does the system of governance, or lack of, affect your games?
What are good ways to show this?
What are bad ways to show this?
Stories?
Strangely, I usually paint gov't systems I disagree with and find oppressive in a sympathetic light, while the nation-states that are "run right" by my real-world beliefs I usually depict as either tyrannical or in social or economic ruin. I guess it makes it easier to include shades of nuance?
They're fairly important.
Dungeon diving is usually done with the backing of some agency or guild with the right papers.
Most murderhoboing is done under the authorization of the military or the crown.
What I really want to do well is what happens when the government goes away. I don't think I could handle anarchy well.
>>46301058
>What I really want to do well is what happens when the government goes away. I don't think I could handle anarchy well.
Some form of government will always show up. Even if it's just the strongest gang taking over.
>All humans suddenly begin to rapidly corrode all corrosive metals that come into skin contact.
How does this change your setting? How does this change your current campaign?
It changes nothingbecause I got a new job and no longer have time to game ;_;
>>46300066
It changes nothingbecause corrosive metals like sodium and caesium already rapidly corrode when they come into contact with skin or water, explosively in some cases.
We wrap our hilts in leather.
Is it just me, or is plenty of the "Waaah, why are my players murderhobos who just wander around trying to kill things and get rich?" from GMs caused by those same GMs being lazy and telling their players at the start of the game to "Go and make whatever characters you want. I will figure out a reason for them to be together"?
When you have a group of ridiculously disparate characters who would never naturally come together or share common goals, like an LG paladin sworn to both a monarch and a god of honor and justice, and an anti-establishment CN...

I think there are plenty of shitty games advertised on /tg/ and it isn't just the fault of the players.
Sometimes, I'd imagine it's more a problem for first time GM/DM's and new groups than it is for experienced GM/DM's.
Why not offer up a plot hook at the very beginning, before character generation?
What are some impractical but cool looking weapons you'd like to use in your net campaign?
>>46298819
>impractical but cool looking weapon
melee weapons in the era of repeating firearms, it's probably suicidal to use them as your primary weapon choice but at least you'll be a stylish corpse.
>>46298881
Why not both?
Don't worry he's a magician and doesn't actually try to hit things with this piece of shit.
Is there an archive of /tg/ evogames I need insiration for worldbuilding. also /evogames/ general
>>46298664
agreed. Evogames are the best thing /tg/ does.
>>46298664
Maybe one day I'll try running one.
Which evogame do you miss the most?
What do you think would happen if parts of an D&D fantasy world start teleporting on Earth, what would happen?
>>46298077
mass panic
Shadowrun?

if the part you're talking about is a monster like a Tarasque or a Beholder, we're pretty much fucked
