What are your favorite cursed magical items?

A flagon that will never spill it's contents.
Ever. This includes drinking out of it.
A sword that's all glowy and magical and shiny and shit, but breaks the first time you try to hit someone with it.

A cursed ring of water walking.
The sorcerer gets a ring, defects it is magical, and puts it on right then and there.
The good news is that he is always under the effect of water walking. The bad part is that it more or less laminated him forever. When water touches him, it beads up along his skin/clothes and just runs off. He can't get wet in any way. Damage from water based attacks are changed to bludgeoning damage, he hits bodies of water as if it was dirt, it has a bit of give but he can't...

Dungeon Masters and players alike: Do you rehearse lines for the upcoming game in your characters voice when you know you're alone? With absolutely no risk of getting caught?
If you don't, what methods do you use to get into character? Do you even roleplay enough to bother?
>inb4 autistic
I usually work out a couple things that I'm likely to say in my head throughout the week without really thinking about it, but that's as far as I go. There's really no accounting for how our sessions might go so it would just be a waste to plan too much

>Do you rehearse lines for the upcoming game in your characters voice when you know you're alone? With absolutely no risk of getting caught?
No, I rehearse in public in full costume to test for audience reaction. At times I feel that my range is a bit limited, as I only seem to get fear and disgust reliably, but perfecting one's craft is a lifelong journey.
>>46382468
>do you rehearse lines
No. Never. Why?

I'm autistic, asking me to explain my answer is an ableist act akin to taking away a cripple's wheelchair.
>>46382196
It depends on who I'm playing with. Some groups really like the deck-building subgame in 3.x/pf, so I generally give them 3.5 because it's slightly more robust than the other two. Some people want to roll dice & get down to it, so it's Classic for them. Others want to get down with their GoThiK emotions, and Storyteller/Storytelling has good gimmicks for dealing with that.
With respect to the GURPS scene and no respect whatsoever for D&D universalists, there's no one true system to rule them all.
>>46382196
The longest running campaign I was ever in (ran just shy of 2 years) was a 4E game and to this day I wish they would just release the builder for free for it.
However, my personal favorite system as of now is actually 5e. It just hits all the right notes with me (except the Ranger).
I've played many other systems (White Wolf, FATE, Call of Cthulhu, WFRPG 2e, etc), but D&D just keeps calling me back.

Gul'nork reflects upon the nature of death. Through his shaman eyes, he is able to see the spirits of long dead beings, who have unfinished tethering them to this earth. Gul'nork promises, to all the Gods who can hear him, that this battle would be the first to the rise of a great goblin empire. And in this marathon of oath making, he receives inspiration. He...

Your thread, OP.
I'm onto you.
Important Information: http://pastebin.com/ZycWvygU

You are Tom Gainer, Class 5 Super and volunteer Cape. Today is a great day! You awake to the sun shine and the smell of Jim making pancakes. You put on your new outfit and trim the rogue hairs from your neat beard. Honestly, you think the facial hair was the best thing to come out of training in the wilderness. You like the ruggedness of it. You but a comb through your firetruck red hair before styling it a little and scramble downstairs for breakfast. You are surprised to see not just Jim at the table, but also Tiffany Cooke (aka Cicada Killer) in her crime-fighting costume and a man you don't recognize. You assume he's the other Union Cape currently trying to restore order to Crimson Beach as he is also in a costume.
Cicada Killer's costume very much reminds you of a wasp or similar insect. It even has insect-like wings on the back of the costume, draping down like a short cape. You take a brief moment to appreciate how the costume accentuates her physique.
"Tom Gainer! Speak of the devil!" The unknown man chimes in gesturing at you and smiling. "We were just about to call you down!"
>"Oh." Sit down to the plate Jim has graciously prepared for you. "What do you want?"
>"Who are you?"
>"Its nice to meet you, Mister..."
>"Isn't it a bit early for house calls?"
(For those wanting a consistant starting image, I'm working creating one, but it might take a little while. Since I'm starting art school this week.)

So, what do you guys know about the GUMSHOE system?
Would it be a good choice for street-level investigative super heroes, in the veins of Daredevil and Jessica Jones?
>>46380429
Gumshoe?
Do you want to run a game with actual mystery? If so, GUMSHOE is awful for it. The core concept behind it is if a player HAS the right skill, they get the clue no matter what. If no player has the skill, you shouldn't use that clue. So the actual mystery is written out of the story.

>Would it be a good choice for street-level investigative super heroes, in the veins of Daredevil and Jessica Jones?
There's an AW hack about CW-type superheroes. I can't remember the title's name, though.
Discuss the stories. Discuss the setting. Discuss the secrets.
And who is the best Neathy waifu/husbando?
Anyone?
I've played sunless sea. desu i feel like a problem it has it that most of the weirdness is quite clearly weirdness for weirdness' sake, rather than actually meaning anything.

This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Chunin named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leader named Hanto, and your two squadmates...

Monday.
You wake up, and enjoy a calm breakfast with your brother before he heads out for the morning shift. At once you head to the academy, knowing that you intend to study for the entire day. It's peaceful in the village, and there's a light frost on the ground. Fall must be starting to set in. You look around, and sure enough, many of the tree's green leaves are starting to go yellow, orange, or red.
The frost dissipates now that the sun is in the sky, and it gives way to a clear blue day. You arrive at the school and settle into the library,...
