So as some here may have heard as a new thread started and fizzled out, we over at one of the more successful TG projects, Disney Villains Victorious, have been working on finally getting the full PDF version out. We've run the Crunch, we've written the Fluff, the playtest have been finished and we're ready to finish the official version and start on some other stuff, expansions most likely. Given that this lines up with a new Disney Canon film having come out, what better time to start a new recruiting drive? The picture attached here is our lovely banner image...

Repostan some "important" stuff
Been working on a big scifi setting and was wondering what sort of cosmic threats / dangerous individuals / organisations I could add to the universe to make it a little more dangerous and I had a BBEG idea.
A mad scientist who has learned his own genetic code and how to change it to his liking has created a vast clone army of himself and using advanced technology grows such clones as fresh adults with his own personality tweaked to share a common goal. That goal is to be a part of a super organism that is just himself, and conquer all.
How does that sound? Overall...

Is pic related the mad scientist in question?
>>46420537
As funny as that would be I had him in mind to be a human of average height and build.
Part of his madness is driving his desire to remain the same. That's where he sees the fun. In my setting humans are fairly formidable, but he is just that, only human. Nothing more besides a slight gene tweak and altered personality.
It's like a game to him.
Trying to think of a name for this BBEG too.
This reminds me of the Horatio faction in Endless Space. Basically it's a guy that woke up one morning and found himself so beautiful he wanted to fill the whole galaxy with himself. He began cloning himself and he won't stop until the galaxy is filled.
This can be fun, especially if the BBEG ends up making a colony on a moon or something with a portion of his clones living there to hide his army and secret base..

Putting up a civ up when there already is one isn't really the smartest idea. /tg/ only has enough players for one civ to stay alive at a time typically. I'll still play but don't be surprised if the thread is slow

I'm doing a game soon where the party comes across a sacrifice for a chaos god, and one of the guys I ran it across said that baby sacrifices 'have been done before' and weren't really chaotic. So now I'm conflicted between
>babies sacrifices for their potential energy
>virgins given berserker drugs and made to kill each other with weapons strapped to their limbs
>sheriff sacrificed as symbolic killing of law/order
Any thoughts? How do you usually do...

The elf king has sent your party on a quest to save his cousin's meth lab from the marauding police. He offers you a small amount of gold, along side with some of the meth you manage to save and a massive amount of moonshine in the back.

What are the going rates for genuine elven moonshine in the local communities?
So is this like a Shadowrun in the Confederated American States?
Hey /tg/, let's have a gaming food thread.
What do you lay out for your fellow adventurers when they come over to roll some dice and kill some orcs? Pretzels and beer? Order a pizza?
Do you cook? I cook Meatbread.
Does /tg/ remember Meatbread?
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Meatbread
Let's hear it. Recipes, awesome shit you order in, preferences.
Snacks should be very low on fat. You'll find that fat on your character sheets and everywhere else.
There's usually a break for a real meal so that people can get their hands clean again before continuing.
>>46414030
I'd ordinarily agree on the low-fat rule but I'm careful. I make sure, my players get the napkins.
They get ALL of the napkins.
>>46414030
It'd be more easily solved to get the major eating out of the way before the game starts. Get some pizza and a bit of beer, have a few slices, and then start the gaming, with some Chex Mix or something as a mid-game snack that isn't greasy.
AKA: MYFAROG
Has anyone played?
Any outside opinions?
It seems to bear an unrivaled cultural uniqueness to it, which interests me greatly since I just adore European culture and history.
I've only played table top RPGs a couple times, but I really enjoyed them even though the themes were not my taste.
Is there a general opinion regarding this game here? Has anyone ever heard of it?
I'm very interested in it, I just bought a copy of the playbook online.

one of the masterrace right here
Let's (try) to build a setting, /tg/, bit by bit. I'll start: some supernatural race ruled the world as kings, but suddenly vanished.
>>46411343
Then they came back a few decades later and whipped everyone back into shape for inhabiting their thrones.
Aaand that was the wrong image
>>46411354
They had just gone away for beer, because they were hopeless alcoholics
As a new DM, having read all the warning on /tg/, I thought I'd never bring my magical realm into the game, but five sessions in, and I already gave my players a cursed sword that will slowly transform one of them into a snakeperson. It just kind of happened.
So what are some fun curses to put on items for low-level characters?
>>46410582
That's your magical realm? I need to play your game.
As for fun low-level curses, gender swap.
>>46410582
>never bring my magical realm
On paper that curse is pretty neat.
Things really start getting weird if party keeps bumping into snakepersons around every corner.

If you say so, senpai.
I once put in a cursed ring of lycanthrope. It turned them into akoala.
hey, i'm preparing a space opera cyberpunk campaign, with lovecraftian (but no aliens) elements and i need some idea for the major faction of the game.
basically the earth war destroyed by the elder gods, and the surviving colonies are fighting each other for control.
can you help me?
Maybe I did not get it right, but why would the human colonies fight each other for control? Shouldn't the sight of a great common enemy unite all the colonies under the same banner?
Can you give us more of what you already have? What would gaining the "control" mean for a colony, what will the players do during the sessions (if you've already looked into it), doeas it take place just after the incident or long after?
these are the general guide, the elder gods are unknown for the mayor part of population and faction, that why don't are unite against the common foe. and the one that fight, are because without a central control don't accept other authorities exempt themself, or because major corporation are moved only by money, so initiate war for resource and profit. that drive even the pacific settlement in the position tho create a defensive army, and in extreme case to preventive strike.
and basically, human can be very stupid.
the elder gods should be the common...

Has anyone run a game with this system? How is it?
Thinking of DM'ing for the first time and I really like Numenera's setting.
bamp
Haven't run.
But finished reading the core book 1-2 months ago.
Liked some parts of the setting and some cool ideas like effort. But overall I found the system kind of generic. The idea of doing the same test do climb a mountain or drive a bizarre vehicle didn't appeal to me.
I would say, try it out and see if you like it.
Good ideas, poor execution. Crunch is unbalanced and wonky, fluff is uninspired and boring.
Don't bother.
To be Good is to make a conscious choice to be not Evil, to have tasted the forbidden fruit, but willfully rejected it.
After all, isn't that what makes us human - a choice, or at least, an illusion of it.
Can you truly be called Good, if you don't know anything but Good? If it's something as natural for you as breathing? If Evil is something you can't even fathom to exist?
The one who doesn't know how to be Evil, the one who is naive and pure-hearted is not Good.
A truly Good person is the one who was tempted numerous times, but who resisted...

Yes, of course. what kind of question is this.
You're saying angels of pure good who are so pure and good they can never be evil, indeed, they are the anti-evil, the dark matter of good to evil, that they are in fact, NOT good simply because of your dumb non-argument?

There's a reason man was considered most good BEFORE eating of the fruit of knowledge.
>>46409471
>Someone who has fallen and redeemed himself is NOT superior to someone who never fell to begin with.
That is not my case.
My case is this - can someone who has never been offered a forbidden fruit considered to be as pure, as someone who was offered forbidden fruit, but who willfully rejected it, time and again?
Death. Is it a door? Is it an endless pit? A road to travel, a goal to seek? Why, child, that is a question few will ever know for sure.
Perhaps experience is the best, in that case. And whose experience is better than your own, right?
Ah, but how convenient, then, for yours is a soul who just returned!
So tell me, child. Tell me how you died.
