How do I write/describe/characterize true eldritch abominations beyond mortal understanding?
Focus on their effects on people and the environment without actually describing them.
>>46335617
Don't describe or characterize them.

More shilling for Cygnar? Tsk, OP.

>What caster from your faction would you like to see go epic and why?
Strakhov. Because he's the baddest motherfucker in Immoren and bitches need to KNOW.
>How would you change their spell list/feat if they did?
I'd want something to emphasize that he's a one-man wrecking crew who can carry out high-level black ops all on his lonesome. Rules-wise, something akin to Garrythexcept actually worth playing

The last two were from a different OP. I would know because I made them.
I hate everything Cygnar except their Jacks and their Stormblades.
Is there a good d20 system out there for running a metroid game in? Homebrew or otherwise?
>>46334345
I really don't think D20 does anything that supports the feeling of Metroid.
If you want real tactical action, try Riddle of Steel or Song of Swords. If you want variable powersets, go GURPS, HERO, or Savage Worlds.
>>46334345
You can use my system. It's based on rolling lots and lots of d6, and then looking for certain combinations.
>>46334345
Why does metroid look so girly in that picture?
What's his endgame? What is Bolas's master plan?
Why did he release the Eldrazi? what could he possibly gain? And is what's happening on Innistrad perhaps also, as Jace seems to suspect, part of his master plan.
I was never really one for mtg lore but the last couple of sets have kinda drawn me in and now I'm curious. It seems that Bolas has been working a very carefully planned long game over the last couple of blocks. What's he up to /tg/?
>>46333319
He wants more power. He wants to be an oldwalker again. That's his endgame. No clue how he plans to accomplish such a goal or how anything that has occurred fits into his plans.
>>46333319
The problem is that, unfortunately, nobody knows - other than a longterm goal of regaining the power he had before the Mending, his goals are a complete mystery due to a lack of actual focus on him since Alara.
We know that he sent Sarkhan to the Eye of Ugin specifically to unleash the Eldrazi, because ???.
We know that he sent Tezzeret to Mirrodin/New Phyrexia, because ???.
We know that he killed Ugin a thousand years ago, and THAT one we have some sort of potential reason for (Ugin is probably an Elder...

I think wizards forgot.
I wouldn't be surprised, their writing has been getting worse and worse.
So, /srg/, given how awful and polluted large parts of the globe are, especially whatever sprawl you happen to be running in, how do you keep yourself safe from acid rain and other pollutants? It's not mentioned enough, imo, that the air outside might blister your skin on an off day.

Personally, I prefer ponchos; they're cheap and available in a wide variety of patterns from almost anywhere, the plastic keeps the rain off for a few days, they can be disposed of or acquired easily for disguises, and they hide all kinds of goodies beneath the drape.
Plus, you can get a nice upscale one for when you want to be a regular citizen.
>>46331056
skin-tight clothing helps with the acid rain, and works wonders for infected characters with sunlight allergies.
>>46331103
Yes they're big, compared to humans.
Yes, there is almost certainly a TROLLED host out there.
I doubt they'd have too many growths down there, there's no bone to anchor them, but the skin is probably still pretty rough and thick.
Doubt there would be direct transplants, people can afford cybernetic and bioware-enhanced cocks.

Holy fuck I completely forgot the Blue-haired Spear Paladin even existed.
At least this page is actually setting something up, unlike the last few.
If Gibson, Sterling, Brunner, et al. were writing cyberpunk today, what would they have made different and how would they be rebelling against conventional scifi?
And more importantly, how would this have changed cyberpunk RPG design?
>>46329378
Hacking would be much different, sexuality/race might be more important or rather the importance of those things becoming very mutable, it would be set in India/Africa not Japan, and that's really about it I think.
>>46329378
Gibson is still writing, anon. His last book came out in 2012.It's not that good
>>46329437
But he's not writing cyberpunk any more, he's writing history.

Could a lich have vampire minions?
Is it possible?
>>46328616
No, a dracolich was a dragon originally:
>"More than a powerful form of undead, a dracolich is a dragon who has voluntarily tied its soul to a phylactery, freeing itself from death. A type of lich, the creature's spirit can possess any dead serpentine body, usually their original form, and retain all the powers and abilities of the former body. That means a dracolich has the supernatural fear aura, spells, and breath weapon it had in life, plus the...

Liches are traditionally masters of death and undeath in almost any given setting, as they are extraordinarily powerful necromancers, so my bet would be yes.
Vampires may be the socialites and the manipulators, predators and hunters in the dark and lords of the night.. but of all the undead, the Lich is the master of the dead.

Has the shagging been interrupting or causing neglect of responsibilities? The short answer to this answers your question.
It seems like the Tau are the least popular race, and personally my least favorite. Simple design, boring lore, predictable battle strategy and what not.
If there are any Tau lovers here, tell me, what is it that you like about them. I'm genuinely interested...
There's nothing particularly wrong with them, but you're right they stand out as particularly generic in a setting which otherwise has a strong sense of identity.
>predictable battle strategy
Not being retards?
Is it absolutely necessary to spam fucking warhammer threads at every given opportunity?
Can you people fucking fathom what a general is for?
Here is our most current map.
The Q'orl have been removed entirely on account of belonging on the opposite side of the galaxy, and replaced with a Tau-led defensive alliance of interesting minor xenos.

I think that we should focus on adding more stuff to the sector itself before we go onto special characters, etc..
>>46326200
For those who want to make unique aliens for the planets in this sector
Sure. Just I remember people were discussing him last night. On the subject of more stuff, though, weren't the Sanguine Shields and Rising Sons meant to be added to the sector? Or were they just part of the crusade?
Describe your current group and summarise your current game
A thoroughly entertaining clusterfuck. Applies to both the group and the game.
> Current group
Some new people from work. A circle of weebs who love their anime, but still good people

Watership Down, but with catgirls instead of rabbits. I'm GM.

So there was talk of a class tree if one wanted a prestige class, which would be dependent on one's actions, not just experience.
Anyone thought about examples?

What's the most obscure RPG you actually own and have read (as opposed to just heard about)? Did you ever really play it? Is it any good?
>>46324756
YarrharrPDF wise I have plenty of obscure rpgs but actually owning in dead tree I would probably only say Don't Rest Your Head as my most obscure and it is not that obscure.
Played? Yes. Fun? VERY YES (assuming everyone playing get into it)
I have a copy of Alpha OMega somewhere. The art is fucking amazing. The binding sucks. We have a whole basket of house rules to overcome the few problem parts of the system and to make character creation less "Okay, how can I not gimp my character in the future with a species choice".
>>46324756
>What's the most obscure RPG you actually own and have read
I guess Engine Heart? Not so obscure for us here on /tg/, but at a wider scope.
