Anyone have any good DM stories from nWoD or cWoD
>>46352562
Well, the Srizaku make slightly more sense now.
They got pointy ears, live a long time, are good with bows and have gracile builds.
I don't see what all the fuss is about.
I prefer them to be tall, with muscular hunk bodies and a knack for both swordsmanship and metallurgy.
Treefondlers!

Ironic thread name
Your name is Lucy Cook.
Today has been a pretty shitty day so far.
While walking home from your last class for the day, some asshole tried to mug you, but instead of any of your stuff, all he got was his own knife jammed into his throat.
There's blood everywhere.
Today has been a really fucking shitty day so far.
What do you do?
>>46351268
Take my clothes of and dance in the middle of the street. The charleston.
Depends, if it's St. Patty's day, I'd go down to the local bar for a pint.
>>46351268
Wipe the knife with my clothes and run away, trying to find a way to change clothes and was away all traces that could connect me to the crime.
Stage 117: Thicker than water, but it still runs, even if it's not blood.
You're not entirely certain why Matagama Kiku, your priestess, has asked you to meet Ryuu Nabiki, the mysterious mediation-addicted dragonette who is the third of the potential demigods that comprise her, yourself, and your cousin Hauko; yet here she is. And what's more, is that she is not merely a clan member: she is, in some way, a direct relative of yours. That makes your priestess' reaction to doing this all the more strange, because she seemed certain this meeting was going...

And that's the part that really bothers you. She knows the name given to you by your real mother and father, and uses it in the manner of an older sibling. Her voice is soft and carries some emotion to it, though not nearly as much as you'd expect having met her younger relative for the first time.
Though you suspect that might have something to do with the fact that this place, her barrier, is absolutely crawling with restless spirits. The cat youkai you possess are being driven nuts by the presence...

Adam demanded he meet you early in the morning by the pier. You don't want to make the guy mad... or at least, madder than he already is, so arrive a good 10 minutes early. Plus, arriving early gives you time to grab some coffee, wake yourself up a little. The heavy winds blowing on the pier make it difficult to drink, and to concentrate on how you're going to defend yourself to Adam. When he left, Owen offered you, a kid with a month of experience, a shit-ton of responsibility. Responsibility you haven't...

Yo, what the fuck is the deal with Crowns?
>round band of heavy metal
>doesn't provide protection
>doesn't even keep your head dry
>sits super loosely on your head
>easy to knock off
>doesn't fit the head in a way that would make the spikes some crowns have useful for headbutting
Why the fuck does this silly headdress/crust cutter thing even exist?
>>46350427
>Implying you cant mount a crown onto a helm
Read a book
>>46350445
but there's no point to adding a crown to a helm, at best it just makes the wearer a target, at worst it can add an extra pound or 2 to your armor's weight
For all the reasons you listed.
It shows Royalty have no concerns for any of above because they are untouchable.

You met a couple of sailors at the tavern, bought them some drinks too! Their quartermaster told you of their captain, who is seeking to sell or trade a shipment of weapons. You told the quartermaster you’re interested. On the way back to the store, you bump into Lady Matilda again. After a verbal duel, she accompanied you to your store. She left after a matter of minutes.
You and Domenico cleaned the store, and you picked up Edward from church. You’ve also learned that Edward knows a lot of Italian words, but doesn’t know how to make sentences. The next day, you met with the captain of the Indomitable, Sir William of Essex. After he revealed that he was carrying a shipment of crossbows, you offer him fifty grain crates and a position as Admiral in your trade fleet. The two of you inspected your warehouse, docks and ships. After settling on his payrate, he joined your cause.

>6th of August, early afternoon.
You took William’s hand and shook it. “It’s good to have you, Admiral William.” You put a little emphasis on the admiral. Your dreams of a trade empire were slowly becoming reality. You currently have four ships, and two captains. That leaves you with two crewless ships. Michèl, William’s former quartermaster, raised his voice to speak. “What are your first orders, Master Particino?”

Any news on third edition?
>>46349665
Faggot on the mailing list here. Nothing yet, I'm pretty sure the KS is supposed to be in April, so there's still time before we continue the pattern of getting behind schedule.
Unknown Armies Third edition will only reach its thirty third revision. This is not intentional. But it is the only way this can end.
Well seeing as there's still no news, who wants to have an unknown armies general thread? Post good rumours, any plot lines you're currently running, etc?

What is the least creative plane and why is it Ravnica?
>>46349668
I'd rather argue for Zendikar without any Eldrazi fuckery.
It's basically just a huge "nature" plane with barely anything unique going for it once you take away the hedrons and eldrazi.
So Edgar Markov's still alive somewhere in the mansion, obviously.
That about sums up the total of new information gleaned from this fiction.

How can I mass produce tech? Specifically power armor advanced weapons, a personal VI for each set of armor, and various other similarly advanced tools.
I already made the stuff, just need a way to produce enough for a couple of thousand people in a few days.

Industrialcraft from Minecraft and Manufacturing Line from Valkyria Chronicles specialise in mass production.
Supreme Commander's T3 Energy & Mass is an even more advanced form of mass production-especially if you go Aeon-to the point where allegedly in-game build speed matches ACTUAL production rates(!).
If you're incorporating alchemy/enchantments into your...

Korin gives you all a little wave as the four of you enter his Tower, Yajirobe, predictably, snacking on a couple Senzu Beans. You also sense another presence nearby, familiar... wait...
Your eyes go wide. "Lord Konpei?!"
The elephant man smiles and nods. "It is good to see you again, Maple, Goku. And your kids are here as well." He floats closer to Gohan and Peppa, legs crossed. Your daughter tilts her head curiously at him, your son nodding his head politely. Konpei turns to you...

So how much rage will there be when the Orks get nerfed?
>>46348954
The patch hasn't even been applied yet but the rage would make Khorne proud.
>>46348954
I predict moderate rage. The players that can adapt and continue to win will be even more smug.
On another note, what do people make of escorts? Initially I was fairly put off them but as the game has gone on I've started taking them in place of a light cruiser or 2 to gain some maneuverability and harass enemy carriers.
Anyone else feel this way when you ask your players to write a minimal backstory for their character?
I just want to make adventure hooks for you :_:
Writing it all out is such a bother. I typically have no problem coming up with a good backstory, but fuck. I'm here to be entertained by you, not to work. Now give me my adventure!
>>46348782
Most of my friends are like this. As a result GMing switches between me and one other guy. We basically write the stories, the settings and the character backstories because the most anybody else is willing to put into the whole thing is "I'm playing an adventurer (insert a mix of two races) (insert a non existant class that should be O-P)"
In my experience, I write the better stories but my compatriot makes the better game systems and handles balancing much more subtly. We're thinking...

What's the appeal of making a character, if not to hand-craft them yourself and form a bond with them so that the story has more gravitas?
