Anybody here had a good experience with GMs good at sandbox and improvising?
I'm depressed, the master of my group is a big douche that wants to force his plot in our group, and i have never found another GM that is better than him.
>>46528005
Sounds like the players need to have a conversation with the GM about the kind of game they want to play and he wants to run.
>>46528040
we already did that, and he doesn't want to change, he already ruined his last group. His only excuse was an epigram (We speak spanish btw): "old dogs don't change"
>>46528104
Then why are you still playing with him?
Okay /tg/ what deck should I make in Yu-Gi-Oh??
Decks already made:
-Agent Fairy Chaos
-Destiny Heroes
-Exodia
-Fire Fist
-Silent Plants
-Twilight Lightsworn
-Yosenju Kaiju
-Zombie Beelze
-Also, Yu-Gi-Oh Thread.
>>46525438
>Exodia
Why? It's not a good deck. It's a one trick pony. It's not fun to play both for you and your opponent.
Komzo :P
>>46525652
Why? I do it for the lols. I think it's fun, well with my build at least, the new one that's going around ygoPro is trash and only stalls in my opinion.
I've seen tons of ThatDM or ThatGuy threads let's have one dedicated to those bro players and DMs that make the game worth playing.
One of my best players stuck with me when the rest of the group decided to bail before the first session (and go with a rival DM that already had a group) he grabbed some of his friends and we had a blast that wouldn't have happened had he went with the group.
>>46519254
But anon, where's the fun if I can't get mad?
>>46519266
Don't get mad, get even.
>>46519254
I wonder how a game run by Mr Rogers would be...low combat?

Hey /tg/ wanna talk about Dark Souls lore? Theories/headcanon? Tabletop implementations?
I'll start off with some of my theories:
>Gwyn's Firstborn/Nameless Kingis Priscilla's dad andStormdrakeis her mom. He was disowned because he was adragonfucker
>Velke raised Gwyndolin, that's why he's so obsessed with retribution
>Velke pardonedGwyn's Firstborn/Nameless Kingfor his sin, which is why he was exiled and not...

I may be late to the party, but I think what was stolen from the giants had something to do with the dragons. Idly reading the description for the dragon bone fist got me thinking
>The Gods fused the power of the soul with
the great bones of the dragons, forming an
appropriate core for the giant golem.
I actually think that Priscilla was created artificially by Seathe, in Gwyndolin's image. I think Seathe saw a kindred spirit in Gwyndolin and was obsessed with them because they were both outcasts, and that's also why the moonlight butterfly has a similar headpiece and the same boss theme.
Hey there, /teegee/!
I'm a raging faggot who as access to a printer and the ability to make decent proxies!
What are some cool things that I should make?
Surely I can't be the only one on this site who makes proxies at home. Share some of the goofy shit you have made, anons.
>Pic Related is my latest throw-together proxy.
I'm going to give it to one of the Commander Kiddies at my FLGS since he loves Teysa.
>>46525309
As basic as it sounds, I'd really like to see a Teysa1.0 with Teysa2.0's art.
I also made this one. They look pretty solid in sleeves. I played with a fake Overgrown Tomb for about a week using this method until my last Tomb came in the mail.
Only one of my eagle-eyed friends caught me and he didn't care because I had the real one in the mail.
>>46525397
Yes... I love Envoy of Ghosts' art but Orzhov Scion is so much better.
Exactly what it says on the tin. What are your experiences with the game, fa/tg/uys? Favorite moments from a session? Favorite concepts, plot points, enemies, or stories from a session or a session you're preparing? Any ideas on how to improve the system?
I'm running my first round with my regular D&D group and everybody is already really into the ideas and the characters they've made. Planning on having the following plot points come up in game:
>Our Law is being hunted by Gun Witches because his revolvers were stolen from...

I still feel like that cover is a mistake. The guy's biggest artistic weakness is his inability to draw a face that doesn't look like a lumpy eyed prune.
One of those sprawling "Where's Waldo?" scenes would be a much more visually appealing choice.
>>46531105
Well, that had jack shit to do with conversation about the game itself.
>>46530949
Never been able to find a game, but right now I feel like the Hunter's Still Hearts ability needs an option for smuggling other people along with him if he does well enough. Or is that one of the possible 'goals' you can choose when you use it?
>nat 20
>Okay, do double damage
>nat 1
>Lol, your sword explodes and you get thrown into the prone position, sundering your armor on a rock on the ground in the process. Take 1d6 damage from the explosion and 1d6 for falling. Take an additional -2 AC in addition to the penalty for being prone because of your broken armor. If you want to try and get up, that will be your whole action next turn and will also provoke an AoO

It is an unwritten law that GMs who insist upon fumbles like this are humongous fags.
>>46528794
Don't play with shit GMs. Also make them confirm the crit fail if they want to do crazy ridiculous fumbles.
>>46528848
>>46528874
If I don't make you roll to confirm crit success, I don't have to roll to confirm crit failures
Having a homebrew roleplay that does not have humans. Elves, gnomes, goblins, and what-have-you exist, but there is not any normal humans. Good idea or bad idea?
>>46526732
So pugmire?
>>46526862
Sure. I don't really care about the specific games that do this, I'm just asking if it's a good idea or not, and how people feel about it.
You can't really judge a setting from whether or not there's humans in it. You could just try to see where everything takes you and THEN decide if it's good or bad.
would like help figuring out what kind of modular terrain i can add.

the red circles are removable parts hiding ladders or big blocks i can replace with ladders
the yellow is block that fell off so you can see it can be removed.

Could we get some images of a decent size? That'd help.
wow we are already at episode 65? i guess will have to do something silly to celebrate when we hit 69. Maybe an Aritsu x Lyann special?
Anyway, let me know when you are here, guys
Ah, can someone help me find a working torrent for the comic character Shi? i want the specials named "The Illustrated Warrior".
I have issue #2 but I need a digital HD picture and so the paperback is actually useless for me

>wow we are already at episode 65?
cinda I miss archived Ep58 as 59 so we jumped from 59 to 60, this is the 65th episode but there is already a 65 archived.

I'm going with this
Hey /tg/, I'm looking for a good RPG for a military campaign. Preferably stuff besides Only War and GURPS. I know GURPS would handle it well because I've used it before, but I want to explore other options.
>>46523010
How realistic do you want to go?
Strike! does gamist class based squad level tactical combat (think modern XCOM) well, although you'll probably have to refluff/restrict stuff a lot. Would be fine for a GI Joe style campaign of colorful specialists doing specialist things with their specialist weaponry.
Savage Worlds has a hardon for guns and military stuff, but is also not very serious.
>>46523093
Fairly realistic. More than anything though I just want an RPG that has a lot of information and tips on running realistic military campaigns.
>>46523010
Good military campaigns aren't in the game. It's the GM.
If I were to start something I'd use ORE for speed and gamist complexity. I handles damage in an excellent way, has a great mechanic for multiple attacks, and has a mod which includes UA sanity. It balances at first glance in a dice pool making very easy to modify. That's what I look for in a system and ORE delivers.
If you want gun stats look at Wild Talents. But I don't think that's what it should be about. It's...

Why is unarmed combat inherently inferior to weaponized combat? I've never seen a system that had them balanced save for ones where your weapon doesn't matter.
Have you peeked at this pesky system called Real Life? It may have the answers you seek.
>>46522895
Go punch a bullet
Because that's literally why we invented weapons
So a big plot point in oWoD is that humanity almost destroyed vampires during the Medieval Ages and that's why vampires maintain the masquerade. But wouldn't it be super hard to kill a vampire back then? Even with bullets humans have difficulty.
>>46521682
>>46521682
IIRC the vampires killed most of themselves through infighting, leaving the remainder to be ganked by humans (even if a single vampire is vastly superior to a human, a single vampire is going to have trouble against several hundred pissed off people armed with torches and pitchforks.
Bullets aren't very effective against WoD vampires, but swords, axes and the like were. A well trained knight is more of a threat to a vamp than a modern soldier, because the knight's weapon hurts them more, and they're used to fighting with that weapon.
That, and a liberal use of fire which was all the rage in the days of ignoring collateral damage.
Also, numbers were an additional advantage. Even an elder can be killed by a sufficiently large mob hell bent on destroying them.
