You are in charge of choosing the four basic elements of the reality.
It can be something like the classic "fire, water, air, earth" or the more esoteric "spring, summer, autumn, winter" or even the hip "DJing, breaking, graffiti and the MC" - you are completely in control of the choice of the elements.
What are they?

She dares not return home without an alliance for her country, for she would be a shame to her family. Now she waits for another powerful man to marry, yet none have presented themselves...

By the standards of the world it is a young court in an old city, the sitting dynasty only came into power two monarchs ago. It was a loyal ally of the old dynasty that was wiped all but clean after [SOMEONE ELSE DO THIS] with the tatters having no male hairs they were rolling into their loyal ally for stability.
The old palace was destroyed in [THE EVENT SERIOUSLY SOMEONE ELSE] and the new one has only just completed and can begin to swell with all the necessary human machinery that a monarchy needs in a...

Now I'm wishing I'd saved the Flowchart pic
The world is barren.
The devastating magitek weapons boiled the seas and burned the forest, crushed the mountians and poisoned the living.
Survivors are few. They hid in the deep vaults when the Weapons of Doom roared. Now they crawl out and see the problems: undead.
Liches with the sturdiest and most well-preserved phylactelies survived the apocalypse and are now warring over the sand and bones. Some of the dead lords want to rule over the worldno matter what, even if it's no more than stones and corpses. Other liches try to build a functioning undead society...

Nobledark? Yes, it's cooler than grim one. At least youcan advance the storyline in noble
The war is over, the undead legions victorious. There is no birdsong or wildlife to be found in the forests, only twisted dead trees and barren soil. The hustle and bustle of industrious, wealthy cities is now just ghouls, skeletons and reventants wandering the draughty, empty streets.
Where the living had purpose in their lives, the undead have none. They do not eat or drink, they have no promise of afterlife. They cannot even indulge in pleasures of the flesh or mind-altering substances.
So what do they do now? They find what little meaning they can in their unending...

Gel for nonlethal, APDS for when not. Regular shot for for suppressive fire, otherwise it gets really expensive. All the rest is for tryhards trying to be "cool", "original" or other nonsense.Okay, tracer ammo for suppressive fire because it's effective and a beautiful spectacle in the darkness, but my credstick hurts simply thinking about it.
Happy hour edition.

probably steal their resolution and replace henge with toga or something. I'm pretty sure they don't have powers, though, so have something else which uses wonder. also a meter which tics toward the day of flight, based off the total amount of feelings the PCs recieved. everything else is the same, aside from setting, of course.

I don't know any setting where elves don't have problem reproducing. They're always depicted as being near extinct, with each elf dying being a crippling blow to their entire race.
This has been bothering me for a long time. Fae seem to be poorly done, in most settings. They're either this saccharine meme of sparkles and rainbows sprinkled with randumb, or just so far removed from lore as to hardly merit the label "fae" so much as "low level encounter cannon fodder".
I don't want system specific mechanics. I want lore and metaphysics. What makes a Fae a Fae? How do you classify them? What traits are common among all of them? What are their origins? Do they reproduce? Do they have souls? (What is a soul?) What's...

Fae as popular understanding and compilation is a result of 17th century onwards attempts to bring local folk tales and remnants of native religions into various digestible published forms. Quite a few as we understand them today were solidified in poetry and stage plays, and the 'source' materials/tales for all but the most popular are nearly impossible to find if not completely out of any record and long out of living memory.
So the term 'fae' is either best used for gaelic mythologies...

Lets start with origins. Notice I posted a cyclops in the OP.
Folklore gives many explanations for the origins of fae. The most common seems to be "they're ghosts" or "spirits". Except it would be kind of lame to classify them all as undead. Another explanation is that they're demons from hell. Well, that's also lame. Druidic animus nature spirits? Well, that's getting close to something more like an elemental. Treants and dryads and such are sometimes associated with fae, but there are also fae legends (particularly if you include...

The way I classified fae in my setting is that they're essentially halfway between spirits and mortals. They have physical bodies, unlike spirits, but they're have innate magical abilities, various supernatural traits, and are either immortal or extremely long lived.
Took forever but I found it.
