I want to run a game like Hotline Miami or Drive that I can run episodically, and I'm trying to come up with a suitable system. Feng Shui and NWod come to mind, and I don't want something as loose as Fiasco. Any suggestions /tg?
For as many mooks that get mowed down by a single person, I recommend Exalted.

3:16 Carnage Amongst The Stars
It'd take some adaptation, but I could see Unknown Armies working, capturing the weird and eerie tone of those games/movies, alongside the extreme danger and violence.
ITT: Characters from vidya/film/tv/comic/anime/etc who're good inspiration
Pic related could make a nice rogue
JoJo is shit, but its fans are even worse.
Could make a decent Paladin.
First time on /tg/. Since I was a kid I always loved Rol games but the thing is that I never played one except the ones that I made by myself. I also loved playing Card Games (Magic, Yugioh, Pokemon) etc. When I keep growing my interest on board games in generals disappeared (I was still playing card games).
But recently I had this feel again and I ask my friends if they wanted to play a Rol board game or something like that. They said yes, the problem is that I don't know what I should buy, can you guys recommend me a board game or rol game that is kind of entry...

It mostly depends on what you want to play, OP. And by "you" I mean everyone at the table.
>>47032449
I dont know what they want to play, they just tell me yes.
There's a board game general that has plenty of board game recommendations. I can personally recommend Settlers of Catan as an easy first step back into the world of board games, and you can also try easy pick-up games like Age of War or Love Letter, which are cheap and still a lot of fun.
If you're looking for a roleplaying game, the current go-to would probably be D&D 5e, and all you really need to do is pick up the starter set to start playing.
But, these are just casual suggestions, and you'll likely find a multitude of other suggestions here.
Can your character beat the stardust crusaders?Hard mode: your character cant see stands
God, I love how Joseph could have solved the entire plot himself if he actually bothered to train himself and not be a dramatic as hell asshole.

Yes you are.
The biggest bad to be both big and bad. Sitting and seething on your sinister seat, enthralled by your magnanimous malevolence, you’ve come to realize something.
Something other than your ostentatious overuse of awe-inspiring alliteration.
There was something you were supposed to do today…

You leave your throne. Ascending many a sinister stair. Perhaps too many sinister stairs.
One trek up the northeastern tower later, you see her, reclining in her cell.

Never played pauper before, considering trying it in MTGO. Does this look like something that's not absolutely awful?
Its based on a custom standstill deck for DOTP2014 I found and really liked.

also, it's crazy how cheap most things are on mtgo, but are there any super budget replacements i could put in for Ninja of the Deep hours? That card alone makes up about 75% of the cost

Can I have the body for my amusement?
>>47030768
>she's too weak to kill a grown man, or too weak to kill even a large child
She's no princess of mine, throw her to the dunes.
Like... why? I mean, my amusement is mostly dependant on her bouncing on my dick, so what does the kid have to do with anything?
Sekrion, The Nexus Mind of the Vex from Destiny. Stat him /tg/
Also since there was a previous thread about how The Cabal from Destiny would be in Warhammer; >>46991762, what about The Vex? How'd they fare out with their eldritch/borderline lovercraftian powers of manipulating time and space and reality to a certain extent?
>>47030271
Better yet, what about Templar from Vault of Glass?
What're his stats? Also what space marines would be bold and ballsy enough to go to Vault of Glass?
>>47030271
Well, we don't actually know all that much about the Vex, they're still very mysterious.
They do seem to fall into the typical 'crazy OP aliums' trap though, given how they are effectively fought against by the Guardians and Cabal in spite of being able to time travel.
>>47030766
>they are effectively fought against by the Guardians and Cabal in spite of being able to time travel
they've already won
it just hasn't happened to us yet
My GM doesn't understand how prepared casters work so while my party fights off a hoard of kobolds I am stuck spending the next forty rounds preparing my daily spells having just recovered my stolen spellbook.
Ask me whatever in real time.
I thought wizards were tier 1 gods?
How the hell did you let your spellbook get stolen?
I'm not sure what system, but check if your class is allowed to use any ranged weapons. Usually darts or slingshot should be kosher. Get some on nearest opportunity.
>>47028979
Not when we use all our spells, get knocked unconcious, have our spellbooks stolen, and then only get them back when combat starts.
What games should I buy to have a decent variety and breadth of systems? I already have:
>DnD 5E
>Pathfinder
>Force and Destiny
>Cypher System Rulebook
I'm going to buy DnD Essentials (I really like trade paperback size books), The One Ring and Savage Worlds; is there anything else I should add to my Amazon cart before checking out?
>>47028710
>variety and breadth of systems
>DnD AND Pathfinder
Throw out Pathfinder, buy 13th age, 7th sea(Pirates, swashbuckling, Zorro stuff) and Battle Century G (if you dig giant robots).
>>47028781
>Pathfinder
Bought the PDFs four years ago, if I had physical books I would have traded them in.
I'll look into your suggestions, I haven't heard of the last two. I'm more interested in games with fewer rules or more general rules than stuff like 3.5 or Pathfinder. Are 7th Sea or BCG similar?
Additionally, anyone played Fantasy Age? What's it like? Is it good? Is it worth buying?
How about Ryuutama?
So /tg/, if you order online, who do you order from? Any retailers to absolutely avoid? Any retailers that absolutely deserve business?
I had just ordered some stuff from Miniature Market (Dropzone Commander), and while the prices are fucking great, I'm starting to think that they sell slightly defective products, at least for DZC; the rulebook had two (small) pictures where the color was totally fucked, and the models all had (very small) defects; a detail was sealed over or missing, a section was almost imperceptibly bent, or maybe a very small bubble on a not-too-visible...

I got the Infinity N3 rulebook set from them and the cardboard slipcover case thingy that holds the 2 books was slightly dented, everything else I've gotten( X-Wing miniatures, dice, Pathfinder and Rogue Trader books) has been fine though.

Interesting; I bought paints and brushes from them before as well, and everything was good except for one brush (which, again, was decent and serviceable enough to not bother returning)

I've gone for some variants of real world sea creatures.

I haven't thought about my aquatic life yet.

Any other ideas?
So, I wrote in a magical roman-cthulhu empire that existed before the main setting just so I can use it as an excuse for weird magical bullshit and so I can cut the amount of history I need to write in half.
Here's the explanation:
>Long ago, before the Gargans(giants) sailed from their stormy coasts of Fathalahm and prior to Man's march south, their was an empire unimaginable.
>A kingdom ruled the cruel will of a gifted few: the mysterious God-Men. Privy to the machinations of the universe and...

Create a fantasy or sci-fi religion or ideology. Your religion or ideology must answer three questions.
Death: Why must man die? What happens afterwards? Is there a way to avert death?
Impotency: Why is man so weak in body and mind? Why should he not be as powerful as the gods?
Morality: How does a man obtain an "ought" from an "is?"
Here's one:
Gaia, Shub-Niggurath, the world soul, whatever her name druids know that all on earth is but an extension of Tanit.
Death: Death is the natural way of earth. By discarding...
