Your character has just posted an ad on a dating website. What does it say?
>Dark Queen looking for a Devoted Servant
>Greetings, mortals! I, Hecate, undisputed ruler of the underworld, am in need of a handsome young man to carry out my wicked plans! Insubordination will not be tolerated! Preferably no older than 25, and if you have a beard, please shave it before responding! The safe word is shingles!
>>47091209
Shave his beard, Apply for the position, then kill her when she lets down her guard.
Takeover rule of the Underworld.
>>47091209
>>47091239She's not actually ruler of the underworld. Just a delusional teenager who is also a dark mage. Also you're supposed to post your own character's ad!
>Bajorans never stop complaining about the Cardassian occupation where 15 million people died over 50 years
>This means 300000 deaths per year
>Meanwhile 480000 people die of smoking per year in the United States alone
What a bloody, brutal occupation.
>>47091056
killing that many people is still pretty serious effort
>>47091056
Assuming a population of a billion, that conflict was of a lower intensity than simply living in Chicago's ghettos.
That's over 5500 people killed per week, on average, and depending on what kind of military occupation it is, that may very well be nighttime raids and firing squads, among other counterinsurgency tactics.
No wonder the Bajorans are pissed about it.
Alright, so I'm going to start an Only War game with some friends who know jack about 40k, but are willing to read up and familiarize themselves with the lore.
/tg/, please help me teach them about 40k, post helpful articles, links, pics, etcetera.
>>47091020
>Go to Warhammer 40k wikia and just hit random page over and over
>Bookmark ones that are informative or interesting
>???

That Emperor is in dire need of a Text to Speech Device.
As dumb as it sounds, watch "If the emperor had a text-to-speech device" on youtube. It's entertaining (for fans at least) and certain episodes explain lore in simple terms. It's enough for a starter to not be overwhelmed.
>>47091090
That's no help to someone that isn't already super enthralled by it.
How would /tg/ run pic related?
>>47090347
In Call of Cthulhu, probably.
>>47090347
I would be tempted to tweak Don't Rest Your Head. But honestly, I don't think there is a game with so much shit mindfucking the players.
Never actually saw Twin Peaks...
Cone some one please tell me in a coherently how the fuck that government for the imperium works exactly?
This shit is confusing as fuck
>>47089773
Exactly.
>>47089773
That's the point, it doesn't
>>47089773
Most power, on a practical level, devolves to local governors.
Are LARP talks accepatable here? If no, where can I go other than /cgl/?
I'm trying to improve my character's demeanor and background and I think experienced roleplayers would be great help.
LARP discussion certainly happens here, it's just that it's a little less active than it was in the past. There's a few people here who are very much experts on the business, and a fair percentage have at least LARPed once.
But, you really need to sell your topic a little harder. Why should I care about your character and their demeanor? What's interesting about them?
>>47088962
maybe you should look into some acting stuff online
>>47089296
So far? Nothing too much, I guess. Currently his story is:
He was a part of a Paladin-like order (Basically a religious order, but they're only fighters, they don't get the cleric-y abilities). While chasing a group of looters, his brother-in-arms got hit. Instead of leaving him be and chasing them, he stopped to take care of the said wounded guy. It resulted in both the guy's death because character sucked at healing, and the pillaging of the village, death of the innocents etc.
His order seen...

Have you guys been seen or been part of a campaign that did an romantic subplot or section that was actually good?
I know this is a little complex considering that DM writing, scenario, and player rping plays a role in this, but I am genuinely curious if any of you have seen this done well.Bonus points if it was an interracial romance done well.
>>47088906
My half-elf and drow had a thing goin. It was aight.
I have been running games just for my wife and I for the past eight years. There's always an element of romance/dating-sim in mixed in with the adventure. Plenty of interracial. Great bonus to our sex lives.
>>47088906
My GM rolled to see if an orc accidentally fell in love with my character. She did.
Now we'll have to see if this romance arc is actually going to be any good.
I've always wanted to try running a campaign set in this universe. Anyone ever try it? Which Skips did you use? What system? How'd it turn out?
I've always thought GURPS would be great for it, but I love GURPS in general so I'm probably biased.

I guess FATE wouldn't be too bad, but it's kinda simplistic.
Maybe the Cypher system, since artifacts and the like can be flavored as scp.
You'll have to be careful with it. A bunch of them are either indestructible or world-ending if released.
There's one SCP that's just never ending cake. Every day the cake regenerates, and if it's not eaten the amount of cake doubles. So say you're at eight cakes. Well if eight cakes don't get eaten by the end of the day now you have 16 cakes. If you don't eat the 16 cakes you get 32.
Enough days of not being a fucking fat slob and soon the whole earth is smothered in cake.
what do you guys think about BL novels and series? Are they any good?
pic related.
>>47088538
Most of them are shit. A few can be very good. And almost all of them cause problems with lore consistency and cause thousands of pointless online arguments.
So can you enjoy BL? Yes. Does that make you a horrible person and a drooling retard? No. But is BL an objectively "good" franchise? Probably not. Especially when 40k proper is already commonly derided as being subpar or poor quality to begin with.
BL is the Star Wars prequel of 40k's original trilogy.
And what about the gaunt's ghosts?
>>47088538
>what do you guys think about BL novels?
I thought he was talking about something else at first.
/tg/, I need your help. One of my players (the bard), has entered the party in a Battle of the Bands being held as part of the tournament celebrating the new duke's coronation. I need horribly punny names for the other bands and their members. So far all I've got is the Sex Crossbows, featuring illithid bassist Squid Viscous. Any other ideas?
Yanni Rotten is a zombie floutist
They Might be Giants. Just two Hill giants with circus tents thrown over them playing livestock as instruments.
Charred E Zaniel is a Tiefling with a golden fiddle.
Is it possible to justify aliens that look human and can breed with humans?
>>47088037
Sure, just like it's possible for this thread to avoid spiraling into "Wow she aged poorly" like every other thread with this image as the OP.
But it's very, very unlikely.
Ancient aliens/progenitor race.
Sure, we're related to them
I'm in desperate need of art of oozy-looking changeling-types in humanoid form. Specific, I know, but /tg/ tends to deliver. I have a lot in my folders too, if anyone has requests of their own. Please help!
Where did the dwarves hate elves and vice versa thing come from? Why would they even care about each other? They don't live in the same environments and both have a tendency to keep to themselves. Seems like both would be annoyed with humans more often since they settle everywhere.
And to preemptively avoid a certain kind of shitflinging, this trope seems to have been featured in books and games before 90% of fa/tg/uys on this board today could post here without getting underage b&. Don't go there.
Why'd you post that retarded webm?
Do you actually think it's funny?
Are you retarded?
Far more pressing questions.
>>47087824
I was talking about how OP seems to make this same thread with the same webm every day now.I know our posts were deleted, but you're probably still here.
>>47087924
Because I save most of the webms that get posted and it was the only relevant thing I had.

bait
>>47087536
I'm curious, OP. What kinda story you got planned? Also, is it okay if we're not so familiar with D&D rules? I mostly play WoD and pathfinder because I'm a fag.
>>47087581
nope my intentions are true and my heart is pure (also I'm just a nerd in need of other nerds lol)

So...what do you guys think?
I mean, besides cringey fedora. Is he on the mark? pic unrelated
>Alignment "discussion"
Please, no.
His voice is so fucking cringe I shut the video off seven seconds in.
>>47087353
Well, he can't help that
Wish his introduction wasn't so fucking stupid though. Odd, slightly-technoish stereotypical Chinatown jingle sounding thing
