Let's go with Nf6 because screw mirrors.

I'm rated 1700 though, so that'd be the equivalent of High Silver on CS:GO. I don't expect to do all that well but I might as well give it a shot.
So for some strange reason GW actually thought about it and decided to bring back the Squats as a playable faction, albeit under a different name.
You are responsible for it and it is up to you how they are named and how they make their grand debut before their codex is released.
I'll start with my version.
The Squats are renamed as The Void Clans, and their debut begins when they appear suddenly over Baal where they aid the Blood Angels and their successors in the defense of the planet when finally a tendril of Hive Fleet Leviathan, as well as the...

Star Midgets
Astra Militarum has its own sub-militia formed out of squats only, the so called "provocavit ad verticem", who use their own vehicles and wargear, mostly different to the standard Astra Militarum equipment.

Who are also murder midgets.
>>47095741
Special forces? That actually is nice.
I have a problem with how my DM (D&D 5e) treats PCs that either have their players absent or are a retired character.
First, the latter:
When I retired my Monk, he said "Right, this character is now going to become my NPC", I was switching characters in the middle of a mission (which he forced) and assumed he just meant that he would controll her actions for the rest of the mission since I couldn't play both (which I personally felt was a stupid rule).
However, as I missed the sessions after that, I later found out that, rather than having the character...

I should also note that I have discussed my characters actions and noted my displeasure on it, but he is refusing to let me retcon it or otherwise mitigate the sheer stupidity.

>D&D 5e
There's your problem.
It's no 3.PF but it still fucks with people's heads.
But seriously, your DM is a retard on a power trip.
There are various conflicting sources of advice, but adversarial GMing should be a very rare piece of advice because it's utter shit.
>>47095680
>My questions are, is this normal DM behaviour?
It's not normal in the sense that the majority of DMs do it, but it's more common than it should be, yeah. It's this passive-aggressive way DMs deal with player absence/players compulsively switching characters, which can be big problems if left unchecked. Thing is it's the bad way to deal with it, which a DM should really do, person to person, addressing the player, outside of game.
As for mandating your...

So how many litres of paint would the Ad Mechs on Mars use in a single day? Imagine how much paint you would need to paint a titan or a knight.
>>47095528
*Insert self replicating DAoT paint here*
>>47095528
Every three hundred point one four years, a hulking space-barge pulls into the orbit of Mars, completing its circular route around the planets of the Segmentum Solar that grow the plants required to create pigments. Several generations of paint mixers, colour theorists and holy men are born, grow old and die on board before the ship can finally unload its precious, multi-coloured cargo into the hungry paint vats of Mars - each giant vat of the vast Martian Paint Citadel emblazoned with the name of the colour that...

And each generation, the vats of paint grow smaller and smaller... And their cost remains the same.
Havent played in awhile.
Can I do ok with this?
>>47095462
Looks fine to me, but I don't know that Creeping Renaissance is where you want to be, just end the game before recursion is an issue, slivers are the definition of an aggressive strategy.
The cards have rotated out so they aren't legal anymore.
>>47095602
Ok thats what I was mainly concerned about. Which ones arent legal for current rules?
>hyped up for DoW III
>get DoW Soulstorm on steam for the meantime, loved vanilla DoW, never played soulstorm
>do the campaign as the Sisters because faith and angels and shit
>It sets you up against the IG, which is lame, I don't want to fight them, but whatever
>get the hang of the sisters in the first few missions, faith mechanic is interesting, turf wars against the IG haven't been too difficultComment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>47094860
so what you're saying is you want an easier difficulty?
>>47094860
Yep Soulstorm was shit.
>>47094860
That mission was an absolute pain in the ass.
Explain to me why Kroots are the coolest Xenos race in 40k
>>47094712
Because they are a race of cannibal mohican mercenaries who can free run through trees and cover like in assassins creed.
>>47094779
Also, lever action plasma rifles.
>>47094712
Because dey are brahs.
Has any of your characters ever permanently (or semi-permanently) changed species entirely? Or used magic to change shape beyond some slight alterations? What about any villain or NPC you've run as a GM?
Does playing a body-snatcher count? Because I played amagical girlwho could survive outside of her body and steal the bodies of anyone with a "weaker spirit" than her... which was most normal humans considering the nature of the game. Towards the end of the game I ended up doing this alot because it pretty much completely mitigated any risks to suicide-rushing rushing enemies as long as I was willing to sacrifice someone else for it.

My warrior got drunk with the local witch with the party tagging along, having a good old time in the hut.
He fell asleep next to the cauldron, fell against it and knocked it over, drenching him in the contents.
Woke up the next morning as a supermutant spider ala Starship Trooper arachnid, albeit with all his faculties intact sans the ability to speak. He found his true calling from Pelor as he gained the ability to (apparently) speak directly with the god and became a paladin.
It was a pretty wild ride.
No, because GMs are paranoid about messing with what a player's chosen character is. It's getting a bit silly when it's at the point where the only time I've ever had a GM inflict crippling injury on a character is when using the crit charts from Only War.
We're talking scars here too. Not just losing an arm or an eye.
It's even worse when the GM doesn't have the townsfolk give the player shit for being a certain race. Half-orc in a dwarven settlement? Sure no problem.
I hate it.
Is there any place where /tg/ convenes to chat? Surely we elegan/tg/entleman and ca/tg/irls need some place to talk outside of 4chan. Does something like this exist? Do you go somewhere else to get your live chat fix with like-minded people?
The Sup/tg/ IRC server exists for basically this reason

Fair warning, the structure and anonymity of this site is what makes it work. Once you unanon the anons it always becomes a lame circlejerk.

Fucking duh, anon, I'm not stupid.
Biel-Tan, right?

Nah, I think it's Samm-Hain.

Well, of course. What else would that be?
>For thousands of centuries, the emperor has sat on his immobile throne. He is the master of mankind by the will of the gods, and master of...
Ok, hold up.
What gods?
The Chaos gods?
>>47093090
It's a literary device to show that the Emperor is above the laws of mankind, because if it was just a single god, that would make 40k a Biblical themed story by virtue of the Judeo-Christian god being the default monotheistic authority, and since there are no "non-Chaos" pantheon of gods other than for the Eldar, the writers can't say "The Emperor rules mankind by the will of nothing!"
>>47093090
Technically what
>>47093286
Said but it is known emps got a LOT of his shit from chaos gods and sneaky deals. He even got the know how for the primarchs from them.
>>47093090
Humanity's continual existence and suffering fuels the gods, so they keep us around as amusing snacks. There is no hope. That's the main premise of the setting.
Hey /tg/, I cannot for the life of me find out what weapon the frenzied berserker is wielding in the Complete warrior book. Could someone help me out?
it's a sword with an axe on it
Welp, that appears to be an ax, and a buster sword mounted on a quarter staff, so I guess a Quarter Buster Swax

Is there any way to create setting or story featuring tribal/civilized peoples without it immediately devolving into muh noble savage or muh epik imperialism? Or rather is there any way to do it to avoid stupid political arguments and shit?

Model it after the actual interactions between euros and natives in that period.
