A loyalist Primarch suddently appears in the 40K Universe. The Inquisition checks him up and proclaims that he is legit.
What happens?

One primarch wouldn't probably make all that big of a difference. Remember that Dorn was killes during a regural battle, by Traitor Legions, and he wasn't even alone. I know that Khan is not considered KIA but IMA, but I believe after ten thousand years of absence declaring him KIA is a safe bet. And he went missinf in the Webway so probably got killed by Eldar or Necrons, maybe Demons.
Guilimann or Sanguinus could make a difference, as a person to unite the Imperium behind them and lead in a...

Any suggestions for making a 60-card standard/modern deck for 20 bucks or less? Preferably u and/or b but as long as it's fun color doesn't matter. Doesn't have to be outrageous or competitive or whatever
Something like this looked fun
http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/blueblack-eldrazi-attack/
But I'm new to the game so I'd like to see what else is out there
Pls respond
Why not just play on cockatrice for free?
Do you have friends who play modern or standard in paper?
Do you just want to go to FNMs and play modern or standard?
A $20 blue black deck is going to have a 0% winrate at FNMsin modern or standard, it would ironically be a waste of money, you're not even really playing the game
If you have friends who play you should just borrow a deck and save your $20 until it's at least $50-$100 and you can start trying to build a budget deck that can compete
>The players play as spirits able to bestow magical powers onto mortals by possessing them
>The flesh sacks they're running around with are all randomly generated
>If the flesh sack gets killed, the spirit is trapped there at the corpse until a new host arrives
>Death for the PCs comes in the form of cultists capturing and binding them to artifacts
What system would you use for this, assuming you wanted cuhrazy combat powers?
Pic...

Devil: The Fallen worked in a similar way if I recall correctly.
>>48239956
Demon, not devil. Otherwise yeah.
>>48239956
>>48240026
Pretty much how that worked.
Just change the banishment mechanic to binding and reflavor it however you want it.
Please post any interesting magic items or artefacts you have come across, especially 'ancient' things. Everything is welcome though!

>Tarnhelm
Tarnhelm is a magic helmet in Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen (1848-1874). It was crafted by Mime at the demand of his brother Alberich. It is used as a cloak of invisibility by Alberich in Das Rheingold (1869). It also allows one to change one's form:
Alberich changes to a dragon and then a toad in Das Rheingold, Scene 3
Fafner changes to a dragon at the end of Das Rheingold and appears thus in Siegfried Act II. (It is never made clear whether...

>Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegār
Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegār (Persian: شمشیر زمردنگار, 'the emerald-studded sword') is a sword in the Persian legend Amir Arsalan. The witch mother of a hideous horned demon called Fulad-zereh used a charm to make his body invulnerable to all weapons except this specific sword.
Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegār originally belonged to King Solomon, and was carefully guarded by Fulad-zereh, not only because it was a valuable weapon, and...

Well, besides the obvious ones that are Excalibur, Caliburn, Durandal, and Kusanagi, there's also this one:
>Thuận Thiên (Heaven's Will) is the mythical sword of the Vietnamese King Lê Lợi. Legend says the sword possesses magical power, which made Lê Lợi grow very tall. When he used the sword it gave him the strength of a thousand men.
Also Egeking, the sword from the poem Greysteil.
>Egeking was wrought far beyond the Mediterranean Sea for the price of a jewel of highest quality. It...

I'm going to only my second D&D session tomorrow, should I buy my own players handbook?
Which edition? I'd say you'd probably want more than one for 3.5 unless it's a small group, but you probably don't need more than one for 5e unless your group really likes casting spells and sucks at memorizing them
>>48237858
We're 5e, and I don't know the game at all, and I'm basically being given a crash course on how the game works as we encounter things.
>>48237858
I might want to mention that this group is part of the Adventurers League.
Any TTRPGs that would be good for children?
Relatively simple, not too gritty and challenging, fun?

It don't get more specific than that.

he would want to visit an abstract art exposition and compare it to a classical one , in order to find out more about the state of the mindset of his future subjects.
but actually , he will just be there for funand pick up girls who are into interlectual femboy swashbucklers
What's your view on including background music to tabletop games? Is it a necessary inclusion for mood and atmosphere, or a waste of setup time? How important are things like background/environment noise? how noticeable is the difference when it's not there? How appropriate is it to borrow from the soundtracks of existing media? Reccomendations?
>>48236393
Players are discouraged from using electronics between breaks, so I loop the works of Basil Poledouris softly in the background. The number of times it synchs-up with the TT action is a little scary sometimes.
After toying around with music at my table for years I've managed to get it right. Some of the best moments from our sessions came while the Hotline Miami 2 soundtrack was playing at the table. How well it goes over depends on your use of it, it's easy to use it for background mood setting, but you can use it as a way of making thins more dramatic as long as you know the track and can synch up with it. I remember describing the actions of a dying npc while

Was playing. It made for a very powerful moment.
>arranged by accident
Hey, /tg/, I'm currently worldbuilding for an alt-history game (think Baccano meets Rail Wars) set in 1930s eastern Europe/Balkans. My players are expecting some pseudo-supernatural shenanigans (we're using the CoC system for this) so I've decided to throw a curveball at them: a young woman with small angel wings growing out of her back, but no special powers or anything that sets her apart from humans otherwise (no, she can't even fly.) They're all giant weebs so making the macguffin a qt grill for no reason ought to be fairly effective.
However...

What's the worst drama your LGS has ever had /tg/?
A few days ago it came out that one of the owners of my LGS was arrested for having real CP on his computers, it seems like he's out of the picture now but I'm worried about how likely the store is to survive considering most of the business is done with parents and children. Really a shame because the store is so much more comfy than the other alternatives.
>>48217040
Sorry your lgs owner was a bastard and ruined it for you, op. Maybe you can buy the store and have a new life managing you passion project? Or still hopefully somebody else will take over and save the place.
>>48220103
It was a joint business project so hopefully things will work out fine, seems to be a bit in disarray at the moment in regards to employees as the dude and his wife have obviously resigned and fucked off after this was all found out.
Incredibly ballsy to run and open a gaming store that heavily deals with children while you've got pending CP court charges though.
>>48217040
Pedo store owner is pretty hard to beat, OP. The worst I have is just the store being harassed by chavs.
