What does your character wishes for? How much would he be willing to "pay" for it? How much would you "pay" for what you want
He wishes to save everyone, and everything, from evil and destruction. He would try to persuade a Red Dragon to become good. He would give everything he had to do so, but he has nothing to give.

Hello fellow fa/tg/guys. First time GM here about to run a Fallout PnP game, and I would like some tips on how to GM properly.
>>47327852
1. Learn the rules as best as you can. Don't stop the game to look up a rule. I'f you're super unsure just make a ruling on the spot and look it up after.
2. Don't play the enemies like 90s vidya AI. People and and animals will rarely fight to the last man. Make intelligent enemies intelligent. Walk the line of being tricky without being a dick.
3. Keep situations fluid. The players won't always do what you expect or want them to do, and that's okay. Just roll with it.

/tg/, are there any systems that would work well with Warhammer Fantasy? I'd like to get a RPing group going, but the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay game that Fantasy Flight has out looks like a terrible fucking mess with cards, and odd dice and all this other fuckshit.
I would say DnD, but what with the Winds of Magic, Waaagh! and the like, the magic system for DnD would fall apart
Any ideas?
>>47327765
Try WHFRP 2E, it has none of the weird shit. The bullshit cards, counters, dice and that all got tacked on in 3E, which was widely regarded as a poor decision.
There's the older WHFRPG, can probably find scans somewhere.
This, maybe?

well, [Alien Manhunter]... I think I'd prefer hunting solo for entertainment purposes. I'd try to hunt and imprison or threaten (bomb implants or so) the more harmless Gifted like [Miracle] to have access to their abilities.
[Clairvoyant] might be tough to bust, but [Phoenician] might be just as useful.
[Technomancer] seems like the biggest natural enemy. Imprisonment and threatening with technological means are out of the question, so the only options are to avoid or kill it when a chance...

Oh and I'd make sure to pay [Netherlord]/[Beelzebub] a visit and offer my services in exchange for recreational goodies. Either that or hunt pussy the traditional way... or the [Alien Manhunter]/Papua-New-Guinea-way... whatever
well it's 4:20am here, so I won't shitpost for a couple of hours
How do you handle flight/hovering in your games on the table?
We've been using minis and a battlemap for a while now, and when someone is flying we just mark what height they're at relative to the ground, but some of my more ambitious players want to build something to actually hold the mini in the air. I was wondering if any of you have a similar idea, or experiences with 3D space.
We agree pic related are not good for this.
>>47326995
Those chessex dice boxes.
>>47326995
There are several elevation tools for holding minis in the air. In the end you may just want to mark heights using dice on the base of the mini. Using an escelator may be convenient at the ceiling of the average dungeon, but not in an open encounter where two guys are dueling 300 feet above ground on their flying steeds.

Hello!
Many years ago, I got my start in writing here on /tg/, and I'm back to pick up where I left off. I'm opening the thread to any and all writing requests; from item descriptions for your home game, to poems and rhymes, to simple short stories and micronovellas, I'll do more or less anything that isn't against thread rules. I'm opening shop for the next three hours, as a test post for more threads of this sort in the future.
Any requests? I will let you know if a story hook is too obtuse or obscure and I need more information.

If you want to discuss something I'm writing, the IRC channel for /tg/ writethreads (and 4chan writefaggotry in general, technically) is #writesccribbles on Rizon.

Cool. Indiana Jones-esque adventure, or something more thoughtful?

If milling was a tournament viable win condition, would this still be OP/banned?
Yes and Maybe.

It's a touch OP, but nobody plays Yugioh aside from kids, and black kids anyway.
>>47326885
Thought they played Pokemon.
Fa/tg/uys I call apon your aid as I need your assistance for some campaign ideas, soon some friends and I will be starting a mordheim campaign, with which there will be a cork board map divided in to sections, controlling a section will grant various boons to the controlling gang, thats is why I call for your help, so far;
Bugmans bar - in this section lies a dilapidated franchise of bugmans, own by an ex-adventuer, grants 1 free random mercenary to the controlling gang
Sewers - multiple small areas spread across the board, allows acess to areas not in direct contact...

Don't have every section give a bonus, and don't let people "control" more than one location at time.
That makes it far too chaotic, potentially too hard to dislodge them, and doesn't make much sense with the "group of 6-12 men creeping through the scary ruins of a tainted city" aspect of Mordheim.
That being said, I'd do some more minor stuff like
>A defender controlling the Brewery automatically pass the first Rout check they are called...

>>47326523
See the fortifying part is not a problem with my group, as they have a tendency to gang up on any one that's actually winning, and thus abusing the rules of multiple gang warfare, the larger bonuses would be for large areas, with many smaller 'border' territories in between, so a gang that wishes to gain the bar would have to either win 4-5 gang fights to expand there and then hold it, or be incredibly successful on their exploration rolls, another one I was thinking;
The doktor - the doktor is in - once campaign month controlling play may roll 1d6 for that amount of bonus xp, though on the roll of a 1 player must roll on the head critical table after the doktors 'tinkering' goes wrong
>>47326740
The fortifying part is not a "game balance" problem, is that's Mordheim's not a game about holding up in the city.
After every mission you're heading out of the city to buy/sell items and shards in the camps outside. "Holding territory" doesn't really make much sense in that kind of situation.
Especially when Warbands are as small as they are.
>I'm thinking of Retconning my entire fantasy world
It's just not interesting to me anymore.
Should I do it?
>>47325580
First I want you to explain what you think "retconning" means.
>>47325619
But before that, explain your current fantasy world.
>>47325619
Just restarting everything from the top. Maybe keep the name and some of the cosmology but destroy most of the content.

S'up /tg/, I am running a sci-fi campaign, and I am want to introduce a sadistic serial killer with a hobby for building torture devices as a villain for my players to thwart. What sort of creative torture devices could be feasible for a soft sci-fi setting? I'd like them to be reasonably realistic, though feel free to go wild with your imagination.

Kickstarter ends in about 24 hours. We're way past any interesting stretch goals so I'm not shilling here. Anyone else pledge? What are you hoping to see?
Personally, I'm a little worried that the conversion rules will be a straight across the board conversion, which would suck due to a lot of shit having power levels not at all where they should be from the fluff.
Also, the whole Tomorrow Legion stuff seems like too much of a railroad of the players into being the good guys. I always saw the stereotypical Rifts campaign as the players being murderhobos...

Fuck Siembieda, fuck him in his lying ass. He can eat my shit, then shit out my shit, then eat his shit that is made up of my shit. I will pirate the hell out of it to avoid giving him even a single one of my jewgolds.
>>47324647
This is Pinnacle running the Kickstarter, not Siembieda. So it will actually deliver.
Also, Shane Hensley is just as opinionated and pushy as Siembedia so he'll probably push back if Kevin starts flailing around like a retard again.
>>47324779
Either way, Kevin is getting paid from that. So fuck it. I really hope it comes out a backer ran his ass down, he deserved it.
