new monster designs were just released, which at least proves that Boggy hasn't completely forgotten about the project.
So how much data about the actual game is out there? As far as I know, it's scattered in between deviantart posts and old blog announcements, but is there any place where it's all put together?

You walk with Piccolo, your son and daughter still asleep in your arms. "They... they really did all that?" you ask, looking to Peppa. Her tail instinctively curls around your arm as you carry her, a smile across her sleeping face. Heh, their dad is gonna be so proud. Piccolo nods at you. "So... what happened next?"
"Peppa fell asleep after that stunt she pulled, while those Makyans that carried Keli in showed up and threatened to throw some kind of hallucinogenic liquid at them all....

"Namekian hearing?" you note.
He smirks and nods. "In any case, Aza had another trick up his sleeve. Some kind of monster from the Makyo Star was transported to Earth, somehow 'combining' with the Fortress. Krillin brought everyone left there to the Lookout. Aza himself attempted to open a portal to the Dead Zone large enough to engulf the planet while the monster rampaged. Kami decided upon a plan. He'd use King Kai's technique, the Spirit Bomb, to knock Aza into the Dead...

>all mind-altering spells are inherently Evil
Shitty homebrew rules thread
Inherently evil? No
Is their use almost always evil, illegal, or both? Yes
>>47713064
That's totally reasonable (or at least as reasonable as having objective morality be a mechanic can be).
>mind altering spells are inherently sexy
There arent enough hero antagonist in fantasy. We need a guy/girl who is morally sound and reasonable, is actually justified in his actions, and doesnt have a sad traumatic past.
Any ideas tg?
>>47709816
Hero antagonist or morally sound antagonist?
What's an example you have? None cone to mind...
>>47709816
So what, someone who's just an asshole but they're amiable about it?
Or did you mean to say "protagonist"?
He just fights for his people. Not for some evil race or evil overlord, just for the other guys that have an equally good reason to fight this war as the guys your heros fight for.
How do you convey a sense of scale when dealing with gigantic creatures?
>>47701864
>He's, like, really big, man.
>Like, just *so* big you wouldn't even believe it.
>>47701864
Tell the players to put their little tokens near the entrance of the room or environment, then describe the giant guy directly in front of them.
Then, put two great big tokens a few squares ahead of them, a couple squares apart, and indicate that this represents the giant. Wait for somebody to ask, or just for somebody to realize and state aloud that oh, shit, those are just his feet.
If your players are in combat with the creature, describe misses as hits that merely fail to score a significant hit:Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

Read the 3e core book (link below). For the basics of combat, read this tutorial. It'll get you familiar with most of the mechanics.

>Let us discuss inspirational reading for Exalted, because why the fuck not.
To reveal my ulterior motive for this topic, I've been thinking about reading the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I understand that there is more than one English translation, none of which appear to be available in the libraries or bookstores around here. I was hoping some fa/tg/uy could tell me which translation is the best and whether there is any hope at all of finding it online somewhere.
>>47692077
I've not read some of the important mythic stuff, things that serve as an inspiration for Exalted like the Ramayana, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Journey to the West or The Water Margin.
Stuff that I've read that I've found makes for good inspiration for Exalted is the Iliad, Epic of Gilgamesh, Black Company, Night's Master and a bunch of Conan and Elric stories.
>>47692148
Black Company's a pretty good take on what it's like to be a mortal caught up in the battles of the Exalted, I'd say. Also, related to some of the last thread's discussion, on how mortals can matter even when outclassed by more powerful beings.

You are the former United States Navy warship USS HOEL, now returned as a shipgirl and ready to kick Abyssal ass!
Currently, you were sitting in a slightly cramped conference room with the rest of your Task Force, along with a veritable army of officers and suits from various law enforcement, security, intelligence, and military agencies, including the Captain. Thankfully, the Fletchers were isolated from the rest of the crowd, cordoned into a corner of the table between North Carolina and Portland to ensure they didn't get into trouble. However, the presence of all these high ranking men was enough to cow them into silence. Even the smaller destroyer girls could sense the anxiety and tension hanging over the room.
The other shipgirls, like your sisters, San Diego, White Plains, and Haida were trying to stay as calm as possible.
Naturally, tensions were high since just a few hours ago, a group of men tried to attack the President, or the Constitution, or maybe both. Thanks to the efforts of you and your task force, you managed to thwart the attack rather easily, but it's left quite a lot of people shaken up.
"All right, I suppose it's time to get this debriefing started." The Captain coughs and stands to break the ice. "Before we start, does anybody have any questions?"

Dracothian Chariot. Should I put a banner in the back of the combat platform? The two guys are already pretty tightly packed on there, adding more stuff might be too much. On the other hand, most chariots in the game have some sort of banner there...

Reposting this for feedback.
And also throwing out a discussion question to get things going: How much uncertainty do you, or from your players, feels too little or too much. Classic uncertainty elements are things like not knowing what monsters are in the next room, not knowing about traps unless you make a search check, things like that. But are there times when you feel there should be more or times when even that seems too unfair in rulesets?
Personally, I like a higher than normal level of uncertainty. One of my favorite things in games like WHFB was not revealing...

Is there any real reason to use anything besides 3d6, d20, d100 or dice pools with d6,d10?
>>47617724
I've seen a few elegant games that used 2d6 and a couple very minimalist ones that I liked that used 1d6, but not really. Any dice that aren't d6, d10, or d20 really don't have a reason to exist as anything but a curiosity.
