Power Farming Edition
Causality ratio Sub-Edition
In the last bread the Assassins making an appearance in the game and causality ratios were asked, we continued the discussion on the League of Extraordinary Characters, an Australian basketball playing Word Bearer trumpeter made an appearance, the meme on why the Ultras are traitors was explained along with why can't there be loyalist Justaerian, an Anon told us about meeting an irl Leandros, jetbikes are expensive, we learned about bills and scythes, Mortarion was actually a farmer and much more Comment too long. Damn Ultramarines, stop trying to have more golden eagles than me REEEEEEEE!
If older artwork is anything to go by Custodes will get axes too.
>>47707697
There has been a huge misunderstanding here, cousin. Let me axe you a question. They're pretty stylish, legatinite?
The Traitor Legions had to purge from their ranks any Marines that stayed loyal to the Emperor. Did the Loyalist Legions have similar issues, having to purge Marines in their ranks that turned traitor?
>>47707333
Of course not, little citizen of the imperium, what could even make you doubt the loyalty of the loyal loyalists?
Was it a daemon perhaps? Mind looking into the daemons detector here a moment?
>>47707500
>Daemon detector is just a bolt pistol
>>47707506
Of course.
If their head explodes like an overripe melon they weren't a daemon.

While this is /tg/ I am curious of your judgement of Eternal Crusade. Personally I have an overwhelming fear it is going to follow the same path that Age of Reckoning did except on a 40k level, another concern I have to express is will the Planetside level conquests on Arkhona (the in game planet) be issued as canon (if so keep fucking Goto and other unspoken shitlords OUT of it) especially now that the Tyranids will be involved?
Personally I hope to see a legitimate canon conflict considering it's going to include twenty one separate armies, and that it will turn...

UPDATE: In an attempt to make the game both lore friendly and allow access to free players the EC dev team are going to allow th Ork Factions free to play, pretty fucking legit in my opinion. Now all they have to do now is make the Imperial Guard playable as a subfaction for the Imperium, Heretics for Chaos and well... Fuck the Eldar.
>>47706232
It's shit.
>>47706270
Free 2 Waaagh is going to be a post-launch feature that won't be available for several months after release and Imperial Guard are said to be very unlikely by the devs since it would either imbalance the Imperium if it was a player option or restrict the number of players in a given fight if it was an AI option.
Why do you guys make stupid world building threads when nothing ever comes from them?
why not do dungeon building threads instead? /tg/ could make entire adventure books that are on par with anything the professionals make.
>>47706065
that's
...actually not a bad idea.
Good luck picking a system to work in, tho.
>>47706065
>/tg/ could make entire adventure books that are on par with anything the professionals make.
The problem is that getting an entire group of anonymous people to work together isn't as easy as it sounds. It either gets into carebear territory where every idea is a good idea or the project has to be so strictly controlled that it never goes anywhere.
>>47706162
You don't need a system for a dungeon.
You need a history/purpose, general layout, the challenges and the possible treasure within.
That's it. If anything, fitting it to a system only detracts from theverisimilitude.
Could someone tell me how to actually get in a PbP game over at Myth-Weavers? I've been trying to with several games now, and nothing's worked. The community there is ridiculous.
You basically have to write a novella-length backstory to get into a game. The ones who get accepted invariably have tl;dr backstories. If you're not accepted? Haha, tough luck, all your work is wasted.
Oh, what's that, you spent a lot of time making a sheet? That's wasted too.
And then there's the unspoken rule of "application quality doesn't...

>Haha, tough luck, all your work is wasted.
>Oh, what's that, you spent a lot of time making a sheet? That's wasted too.
Yeah, thats what you get a binder of characters for.
Then you shotgun them everywhere for random chance of getting accepted.
There was a thread about retro-scifi and got me to thinking what sort of setting could be made blending Diesel Aesthetics (i.e. Art Deco design) and Ray-gun gothic?
The immediate immage that comes to mind is a P=51 Mustange sufficently remade into a space fighter
>>47705525
Not /tg/ but the game Star Citizen gives me this sort of vibe. Most of the ships give off an industrial vibe with minimal super sleek stuff, with the weird limitations like how all combat is like world war two style aircraft combat rather than the more realistic 'i tell my targeting computer to fire at the dot 1AU away' which is then obliterated a second later, and lore dictates no AI which means you have a bunch of credit running around on large ships turning valves and firing out of bubble style turrets.
>>47708427
Credit = crew
>>47705525
I just want to say, thank you for not attaching the word "-punk" to any of those things.
" I love you, everything I do to you is because I do. I just want you to be perfect"
Are daemons all dicks with no external attachments to entities besides themselves? Or can they form bonds and attachments to others within the confines of their existence as an emotional spectrum?
one school of thought holds that such creatures are incapable of free will and simply embody elemental evil in various manners according to their diverse forms
another school romantically imagines that the appearance of personhood implies personhood
so of course those demons which prey on romantic souls have evolved to mimic people
Whats the end goal for daemons? You have some scheming to enter the materium, by possessing anyone who listens to their whispers and building elaborate cults to create demonic engines for them to engines for them to inhabit and walk in the materium. Then you have others who want nothing but to flee back to the immaterium and are bound in fleshy host and tortured by being caged in devices to keep them material. Is it a grass greener thing?
Starting my first Torchbearer campaign (as GM) in a few days.
Any advice?
>>47704953
To clarify: First time with Torchbearer, not first time as a GM.
why torchbearer?
>>47705027
I enjoyed playing DnD but it was a bit rigid and sometimes felt too much like its mechanics worked parallel to the narrative, rather than woven through it.
I enjoyed playing FATE games but it felt like it relied too much on the players negotiating with the GM instead of doing what came naturally, and its challenges felt unsatisfying to "solve" because the system is built to have few limits, to always say "yes," even if it's a qualified yes.
I enjoyed Descent but didn't...

What's a space marine or imperial guard group that is entirely armed with plasma weapons?
Dead fromradiation presumably
>>47704524
I might name a Chapter the Crusty Burn Victims, but I would rather not try to paint it.
armywise I doubt that there is any imp. or chaos forces that employ only plasma, mostly because fluff states what plas is available is hard to construct thus you can only get like 1 plasma gun and 1 plas cannon in a 10 man squad. DA got more plas. with with ravenguard bikers using twin-linked plas. instead of bolters on bikes.
